Insanity.
Doing the same thing over and over again whilst expecting different results.
Here we are again, finding ourselves under the leadership of a faction of the self-interested whose only real goal is to ensure that they stay on top.
We’ve traded one leader who pandered to their favourites for another.
A Fox in eyeliner is still a Fox.

Ricky, Ricky, Ricky….
Just like everybody else you seem to have bought into this idea that this is my revolution. I am the spearhead Ricky, the desirable face of change, but you’re living in a fallacy along with the rest of the roster created by consistently placing the burden of expectation solely upon my shoulders.
This isn’t my revolution, it is everybody’s.
From the grizzled veteran decorated in gold to the green as grass rookie, this is for every single one of you.
Yet all I am greeted with is apathy.
You’re all crying out for a saviour and when one finally arrives you rest on your laurels and demand that I alone fight the corruption and bile that erodes the moral foundations of New Championship Wrestling.
I am not Batman, this I reality, and she’s a harsh mistress.
You all sit there bitching, whining and moaning about how you don’t get what you deserve, how this business owes you something and musing “if only somebody could change things around here”. All I hear is a bunch of over-fed and pampered prima donnas who want something, for nothing.
You all want to reap the benefits of change, but you all sit there and criticize me for having not engineered companywide upheaval by myself. It is time for people to put up, or shut up, and that includes you Ricky.
I will do everything it takes to make sure that I can change the way this company is run, but I do not live in a dream world where I am the next coming of Jesus Christ with omnipotent powers which will allow me to bend scores of people to my will. I will do what I can Ricky, I will change whatever I get the opportunity to change to make this company better for all of us and I will do it because I care.
I care enough to make a stand, I care enough to try and make a difference and I care enough to endeavour to do more than blow hot air.
Revolutions do not happen overnight.
They can take months, sometimes even years. Day after day of bubbling tensions until finally a catalyst ignites the powder and there is no turning back. Do I deny that the moment for unavoidable change has yet to come and I am currently lost in the endless shuffle of pro-wrestling?
No Ricky, I don’t. It sickens me more to be a wandering spirit searching for a purpose than it does the rest of you.
But I know that change is coming, maybe not this week, maybe not this month, but soon. I have faith, Ricky, faith that will not be shaken because the pro-wrestling business has been in need of a change for years, it has stagnated and watched its popularity seep away into the night never to return.
It is ripe for a change of guard, you can smell it in the air.
The Spawn of Gib sensed it, and they took their chance to grab power, but their position is not stable. The moment they took Leonard Fox out they opened Pandora’s Box and it can never be closed.
You know it, I know it, hell even the naïve jackasses backstage know it.
The question is, are you all going to finally wake up, smell the coffee and climb out of your comfort ones and become accountable? Are you going to help yourselves instead of consistently looking to me and criticising my “lack of spark”?
It is time for men like you Ricky to put their money where their mouths are. You want change? You want to ensure that you aren’t screwed in the future?
Stop praying for a hero, because he isn’t coming. We can either unite as one to push through the change needed, or we can spend our time continuing to bitch and squabble.
It’s time for people to make a choice.

Change is in the air.
We can either grasp it in both hands or watch it slip through our fingers for eternity.
The Hierarchy have built a kingdom on sand.
All that is required is one wave of resistance and it will be washed away into the history books, to be replaced by whoever had the guts to stand up and make a stand.
A stand against the continual tyranny of New Championship Wrestling.

Hannah Reed : I never said thank you.
Roberto Verona : For what?
Hannah Reed : For saving me.
Roberto Verona : You don’t need to thank me Hannah….
Hannah Reed : Yes, I do. You have done so much for me and so many others and yet you’ve never received so much as a thank you.
Roberto Verona : Perhaps.
Hannah Reed : You’ve done so much for me Roberto, the least I can give you is a thank you.
Roberto Verona : I don’t do what I do for thanks, I do it because it is right. You’ve been betrayed by too many people in life for me to abandon you.
Hannah Reed : Maybe one day, others will thank you also. You’re a good man Roberto.
Hannah kisses him on the cheek.
Hannah Reed : Don’t you ever lose sight of that.

Something’s never change.
We’ve merely replaced Steve Awesome and Rob Diamond with Xander Famularo.
Once again Gib, Zelda and Adam are on top of the tree.
We cannot expect things to change when we accept the continued hegemony of this accursed family and its allies.
The Famularos, Knites and Fox’s must perish in the fires of revolution.
Their time in the Sun is up.
A new dawn is rising.

Let’s just get straight to the chase and get the niceties out of the way first Lex, then we can get to the really juicy stuff, the stuff people tune in to watch.
I respect you.
You respect me.
I won’t let respect interfere on Sunday.
You won’t let respect interfere on Sunday.
I am going to be World Champion in 2012.
You’re going to be World Champion in 2012.
I think that just about covers it. Now, we can get back to flexing our muscles and listing our credentials.
I won’t stand here and start posturing, claiming that you aren’t an impressive specimen Lex, you buried Angel alive and you almost won the Riot after doing it. You’re one tough son of a bitch and whether you had an award to show it or not, we both know you’re a rising star in NCW. The only problem I have with that notion is this idea that you are going to eclipse mine.
You’re a massive potential Lex, but I have proven that I am no less of one. I won two singles titles last year and just like you I was moments away from crowning it all with a Riot victory. Alas, it wasn’t to be, but I have proven all my doubters wrong time and time again and I see no reason to stop that now purely because the competition for the top spot is filling up with men of your calibre.
I don’t want to rip that belt from Xander’s grip by beating nobodies Sense, I want to earn the right to relinquish him of the symbol of all his endeavours by putting out bright flames like you.
I relish the competition, it is what keeps me coming back week after week looking to prove myself over and over. I don’t want to waste my time wrestling cardboard cut-outs, life time members of the mid-card and whichever plucky young show off has impressed the booking committee recently.
I want to fight men like you.
I want to walk through hell every week because that is what builds champions. Not yearlong winning streaks against the nobodies of professional wrestling or fulfilling photo opportunities and suckling the corporate teat.
I don’t want to be a transitional champion searching for just another accolade to add to their CVs in a desperate, yet vain, attempt to close the chapter on their endless quest for validation. I want to be one who went through men like you, dominant powerhouses, and to cement my place in history as a real champion.
I do not dread facing you Lex, even if I have yet to defeat you because I want to be tested. You’re the key to my rise to the top, a rise which will facilitate the opportunity to make tangible changes around here, even if I have to do the best I can by myself because everybody else is too idle and feckless to help themselves.
Nobody cares for champions who never earned their spot Lex, I have no intention of joining their ranks.
You’re right, I do have personal ambitions to fulfil, but they do not supersede my ultimate goals, even if you do not agree with them. I want to be World Champion, but I care more for leaving a lasting legacy that is greater than a mere name in some book.
Legends are ten a penny.
Icons are much, much rarer.
I want to leave my mark just like you, but I want to leave behind a system of rewarding those who deserve to be rewarded and a company which for its customers, rather than for as much money they can squeeze out of them.
I have a noble cause that none of my forebears can claim and I seriously doubt those that follow me will be able to either. They were in it purely for themselves, they want their names to be remember so that they could bask in the adoration of the masses.
They wanted their names to be whispered across circles of the fan base for eternity as if they were Gods.
I just want to be remembered as the one man who could put aside his own ego to make things better for everybody.
I want to be remembered for something much more meaningful.
I’ll leave the dominant title reigns to you.
Viva La Révolution.
