I hate Twilight and anyone that enjoys it. It's for little girls and emo teenage boys who hate their penises.

call me an emo boy without a penis, but I am happy that there is a novel captivating the youth into reading again. I may not like the story, but I like that I have students reading books.

You're still a man Gib. You're a teacher, so it's cool that you like getting the kids reading. But apparently Twilight is a horribly written piece of fecal matter. I've never read it or watched the movies because I don't hate myself.
Anyway like I said, it's good that some kids are reading, but it'd be better if they were reading something of substance.

yeah, I have turned a ton of my students on to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, my wife (also an English teacher) loves the Twilight Series. They are sappy and predictable, like reading fifteen minutes of it gives you a pretty significant idea of what will happen in the end.
She could work on her foreshadowing...

I love how people rip something to peices based on somebody elses opinion, it's funny watching people make themselves sound so retarded.
I've been reading the Gears of War novels recently and they honestly enrich the experience of the games. Also the Horus Heresy series.

Haha. I like it when people are douchebags and make everyone else look like awesome people by comparison.
That's one of the great joys in life. I wish I had time for reading. I really do.

World War Z was excellent, far better then his Survival Guide... I was pissed about that book mainly because I had a 40 page zombie survival guide published on the Internet about a year before that book came out, his book never mentioned how to survive when Michael Jackson zombies attack, mine did.
Also, JFK, you should read "The Forest of Hands and Teeth" that is a new young adult novel that I am actually going to try and teach the whole class, I just need to think of a way to make that happen.
Will, you should make some time to read... I will send you books if you need inspirado.

Tell me a book out right now that's worth reading, and I'll try and find time to read it. Just as long as you don't pick Sarah Palin's new book.

JFK - I love WWZ because they mention the town Pulaski, NY which is really close to where I live. Hit me up with your addy in PM and I will send you a care package, with Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and a few others.
Will - I read mostly adolescent literature as of late, because I feel I need to know it but if you can deal with that the Hunger Games is amazing, I also would recommend the Pulitzer Prize winning Empire Falls and Neil Gaiman's the Graveyard Book. For quick fun reads all are young adult novels that are really kickass (for teenage or nostalgic purposes) Looking for Alaska, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Drums Girls and Dangerous Pie, Notes from a Midnight Driver, I love you Beth Cooper. I could keep going but I fear that I am being a douche, thus if you want more let me know.

Though I really wanna pick up Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I've read all of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and a few of her other books, the ones about Jesus have been great reads thus far. Christ the Lord I believe their called. I also read a few of the early Star Wars novel because, yes, I love those movies. I picked up a couple of the newer ones, they were ok. But this World War Z sounds awesome. JFK you got any other titles you could recommend for someone who loves zombies, REAL vampires not douchey teen ones and star wars?

Gib: I've seen the Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist movie, so that might be a smart read for me. You gave me alot of titles to look up, so I've definitely got some choices for potential reading. I was thinking that since I like True Blood, I might try reading the Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris. I'll be honest with you, I haven't read a book since I finished 11th grade, and that was 2 years ago. Hahaha. So I've got some time to make up for.

Scar Tissue by Anthony Keidis is nuts Glen, if you like those types of biography pieces. That dudes life, how ****ing amazing.
My wife is reading through the Harris books now Will, she reads like one every two days, it is fun because if you watch the show it says "based on the characters of blah..." the story is completely different, like Lafayette is dead at the beginning of book two. So you get two separate enjoyable storylines with the same characters.
Nick and Norah is nothing like the movie, is kicks the movies ass...
Just finished Hunger Games today, ****ing epic.
Diamond, read The Forest of Hands and Teeth...

I work in a bookstore. The zombie books are littered around the store everyday from people who pick them up to look at them and don't put them back, so I'd say they're popular. Also, put your books back when your done! Anyway, I pretty much read only comic books. Since we're on zombie talk, Marvel Zombies 1, 2, and vs. Army of Darkness were great. 3 was okay, but not great. Also, I've only read volume 1 of Walking Dead, and it was really good. I need to continue that soon.
