Xavier kicks out as Kole is on the apron begging for the tag, Xavier spots him and quickly crawls over as Prophet simply seems content to stand and let him make the tag, and as Kole is tagged in, Prophet does a cut throat signal which seems to stop Kaos in his tracks, he puts one foot through the ropes then decides against it as he hops off the apron, shaking his head. The referee warns Kaos to get back in the ring before he starts his count…1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…9…10…the bell rings as Kaos simply looks on smirking. Prophet looks annoyed as Xavier yells at Kaos who is laughing.

Music to my ears. However that music quickly became a bitter sweet symphony. You see Xavier, for the second time in your career you can say you have a win over me. But what's funny is for the second time in your career you have obtained that win without ever actually defeating me. It must be very frustrating for a man such as yourself to not be able to beat me cleanly. I know, I know, you'll take a win however you can get it, don't even bother saying it again. And that's all well and good, I completely believe that you have no sense of right or wrong and that you truly will just take what you can get but you'd be lying if you said that you didn't want to beat me for real just once. And do tell me, how is it you will take a win however you can get it and call it the greatest thing known to man, like that match where I lost my title to you via a chair shot to someone who wasn't in the match , but when I defeat Davey Ortega via count out it doesn't count? I mean, if you had beaten Davey Ortega via count out, hell if you beat him any which way you would have talked about it for days and days until I shot myself in the head from hearing about it so damn much.
You know what really gets me about you, the double standards you live your life by. You cheated to win my title and you sat back and gloated about it. You managed to gain victory through the actions of my partner, and I'm sure I will get to hear about that. But you have the nerve to call me out on my win over Ortega. Claiming ONCE AGAIN that I have never successfully defended my title against anyone. Need I remind you Xavier, you lost my title on your first defense too. I'm sure I don't. Despite how I beat Ortega, I beat him, and when I face him again, I will beat him, just like you.
But let's be honest here, you couldn't beat me in a match you pretty much invented, a match you had all month long to prepare for, a match where you should have had all the advantages. The thing is, and I think you've figured this out by now, I don't just sit back and take my medicine. People don't screw with me and get away with it. I may be alot of things, but you know damn well a push over isn't one of them.
You see Xavier, you warned me about Prophet, like I warned you about Kole. I knew Kole was going to do something to cost you the match, I knew it. That's just who he is. What I should have known is what Prophet would do if he didn't get his hands on Kole. I should have listened to you Xavier, but alas, Dark Prophet like so many others has now been added to my list. I'm glad you listened to me Prophet, you brought your A game. But you made a mistake. First you touched me, second you lost me the match. I warned you about losing the match for us Prophet. Now, like everyone else you are going to pay. You won't know where or when Prophet, but you will pay.
I know what your thinking, I'm getting ahead of myself, first I have to survive my match with you Xavier. Which is of course all we are looking to do at this point. I think our feud has gone beyond just being the X-Division Champion. This feud has reached a whole new level. A level that only two truly great athletes could achieve, or just one super awesome athlete.
Put on a happy face… That’s my motto going into this match. Yours was what? The Killing Joke? Well Xavier, comic book garbage is all well and good if you’re a Diamond, but we are supposed to be men, and men don’t threaten each other with Joker rhetoric. And so you know, I don’t care if your more concerned about seeing Heath Ledger’s last performance over actually mentally preparing for this match.
I mean I don’t want to throw off your game but your not getting inside my head and screwing with me. All you’ve been doing is pissing me off. And if you didn’t notice last month, my being pissed off doesn’t mean you have some kind of automatic advantage over me. All it means is I will fight through all the pain, blood and broken bones just to see you lifeless on the mat beneath my feet.
So Put on a Happy Face Xavier because this is going to be the end for one of us.
( We open up inside a darkened church. The location is unknown and relatively unimportant. Angel has no plans on burning this one down. As we walk through the fairly basic church we come upon the dark out line of Angel seated alone in the middle of the church. His clothes and face cannot be made out in the darkness, but we know it’s him. His silence is almost startling as he thinks. )
Angel: The question on everyone’s minds is “what now?” It’s really a good question. After doing so much to one another for the last three months, what do we do now? Not just the match but promos, Q and A’s, all those sorted little details.
( Angel breaths in deep as he starts rubbing at his head. )
Angel: So much is expected from this match. A huge, climactic battle of the proverbial titans. A Last Stand from one of us. Everyone is expecting so much. And to tell you the truth when they ask me the question “Do I see myself coming out on top?” I don’t have an answer for them.
( Angel sighs. )
Angel: This is the part where Xavier goes crazy and starts telling me I’m afraid and I know that this time is going to be different than the last five times he couldn’t beat me, but I tell you what Xavier, you’ve said it before so don’t stop now.
( Angel turns as if he’s looking into the camera but we still can’t see his face. )
Angel: It’s not that I don’t think I can win or that I think Xavier has suddenly become the Grandmaster of Wrestling, it’s that after everything we’ve done to one another, everything we’ve been through, what else is there? Xavier said something in his promo last week, that even after I power bombed him off that cage strait through the announcer’s table that he could have gotten up before the count of ten.
( His right hand moves in the darkness. )
Angel: I believe him. I know he would have gotten up, Xavier is just that driven. He won’t let anybody put him down, atleast not for good. But on the other side of that coin he was unable to put me down. So what do we do? That is the question that has been bothering me. Xavier wants to throw petty insults at me and question my title reign, but that isn’t what concerns me. I’m not worried about my title reign and how pretty it looks in the history books. I’m not worried how long it is or how many defenses I’ve had. I’m not worried about who I may or may not be facing next month. I’m not actually worried. All I can think about is this match and everyone’s expectations for it. Because personally I don’t think we are going to meet their expectations.
( He shakes his head from side to side. )
Angel: Mainly because neither one of us are walking in there to wrestle. My title may be on the line, our pride may be on the line, but what we are really looking for is to take the other one out. I know the only thing on my mind all month has been the destruction of Xavier Williams, and I bet he could say the same about me. That’s it. Retaining this title, making some kind of history, having this match and feud be remembered, all of that is like a little bonus to me, because in the end none of it matters if Xavier Williams doesn’t go down at Last Stand.
( Angel stands up and makes the sign of the cross. )
Angel: If I can’t put him down and take him out, if Xavier just walks away from this match like he walked away from the DeathCage, if he goes on to come for me another day, then I will have failed at the one goal I have set for myself at Last Stand.
( He begins to slowly walk out of the center of the church and towards the aisle to his right. )
Angel: I promised the Apocalypse of nCw and I will deliver. But what’s the point of bringing an end to life as we know it in nCw if the devil is still around to play? Slowly I have awoken to the truth of this world and all the horrors that my God allows to exist. Some scholars will give you bull**** reasons for why there is evil on this world, but to tell you the truth, I don’t care much for scholars. The Bible, the word of God, it was all put together as some kind of elaborate bed time story. Except for the ending, the Revelations, the only part of that book that matters.
( Angel now stands at the back of the church facing forward, the camera behind him. )
Angel: I’ve read you some portions of the Revelations, but basically in this Apocalyptic tale God comes and takes away only the TRUE believers, leaving the rest here to suffer with the Beast, the Antichrist, the Devil. For seven years God watches as those who still believe but were just not holy enough to get into Heaven are tortured, raped and murdered. Then finally when it becomes too much to bear God sends the Devil back into his fiery pit along with all his followers, while those who managed to suffer through the reign of the Devil are FINALLY let into Heaven.
(Several small laughs escape Angel’s lips. )
Angel: That’s the God I worship, the one that billions of people around this Earth worship. The God that would rather watch all of his people suffer than lift a finger to show them the true path to salvation. Isn’t that nice? Why is this important? Why do I continue to bring it up? How does Xavier fit in? I’ve told you. He’s the Devil. He’s tortured me, raped me (figuratively) and now he wishes to kill me. He is my test, sent from God to see if I am worthy to one day stand in his presence. The being I have served my entire life is testing me… How thoughtful.
( Another small laugh. )
Angel: And my God would probably want me to try and save Xavier, to redeem him and aid his soul in attaining entrance into Heaven. But I gotta tell you X, after everything we’ve put one another through, I have no interest in serving my God this Sunday. All Biblical references aside. We’ve thrown everything we have at each other X, everything. You got up, you fought back, and in the end you think I can’t kill you. You think I’m playing a game, you think I played a mental card. You think everything I say is some kind of elaborate hype machine to make me look better. When are you going to realize that I don’t care what anyone thinks of me? Whether these fans cheer or boo me means nothing to me. I go out to that ring all the same. You think I’m all out of tricks? You think I won’t be able to put you down? You think your walking away this Sunday? No Xavier, I don’t think so. You haven’t been able to actually defeat me once, not once did you pin me, submit me. Not once. Does that give me an edge? Does that make me better? It makes you hungry, but it also hinders you, makes you wonder. You haven’t been able to take me down, so if nothing you throw at me is ever good enough what’s going to be different now? Say what you want, that fact alone will hinder you. I’m not crazy Xavier, far from it. What you’ve seen these last few weeks is my anger cresting and my rage peaking. You’ve seen me reach my absolute limit. I’m not crazy Xavier, I’m ready to end this once and for all and I will go to whatever end I need to too finally see you take your last breath. You have yet to see my best shot.
( The scene fades out of Angel spreading his arms into the Jesus pose. We fade back in to Angel sitting on a couch in what must be his living room. He’s wearing a Savior X t-shirt and jeans. Shelly walks in behind him wearing a red tank top and jeans. She sits down next to Angel and rests her head on his shoulder. )
Shelly: Are you okay Angel?
Angel: I’ve been better.
Shelly: Will things finally be normal again when this is all over?
Angel: That’s the idea.
Shelly: What happens if you lose?
Angel: Haven’t given it much thought babe, trying to focus on the more important goal.
Shelly: I know, I just know where this is leading us. The two of you are hell bent on killing one another Sunday… I just want to know I’m going to get you back when your done.
Angel: No matter what happens Shelly, I’ll come back to you, to both of you. But I need to do this.
Shelly: Yes, you do. Trust me I know that better than anyone. Ever since all of this began Xavier has been trying to turn you into something your not. I don’t care what either one of you say to the other or what Ramses says, the two of you are not the same person. Xavier is trying to make you into him, to bring you to his level. Say what you want Angel, you’re a good person. You always have been, and you’re an even better father. Don’t let Xavier twist you into some kind of darker version of yourself. Don’t let him turn you into him. You can beat him I know you can. You can do it without all the fancy promos and flashy words and threats. You can beat him with nothing more than your talent alone Angel. You’re the best, your going to be World Champion one day. Don’t let that bitter little son of a bitch ruin your career.

If Spike wants to see his entire career slip right through his fingers, then that’s his deal. My only regret is not getting the opportunity to beat him one on one.
Shelly: Yeah well I guess that’s what happens when your used to having everything handed to you for so long.
