Men's hearts ought not to be set against one another, but set with one another, and all against evil only.
Lance Ryan: You are correct and incorrect all at the same time Adam. You stand there and you speak from the heart, I respect that from a man, but most of all I respect that from an ally. However truth is only truth when it is seen by everyone. Truth is not the opinion and the belief of one man. That is why you are partially correct and partially incorrect. Reality in life can really only be found when you take the opinions of many and the same general notion comes from the majority. Such is what we have based democracy on, and such is what we in the Western World live by.
~*~*~It is amazing how often in this world we can see ego confused with confidence. Saying that people are driven by their egos, calling people ego-maniacs, and saying that people are out for their own purposes, all of these things are far too commonplace in our world. At what point did it become such a terrible trait for one to be confident in themselves? When in time did we as a collective society decide that it was improper for someone to strive to be at the top of their workplace, their sorporation, or their sport? Who was the brilliant human being that started this movement away from titles, away from money and away from success? Whoever it was needs a serious reality check, as do any people that say that this is not what society should be about. It’s capitalism people, it goes hand in hand with democracy and it is the driving force of our world. It is not really who you know or what you do. It is about what you have done and what you have accomplished and most of all, what you have.~*~*~[/i]
Lance Ryan: Adam, I am disgusted by one of your points, and I must point it out. Not to start a fight, but more so to set the record straight and explain to you a little more about who your tag team partner is. I am not, as you say, out for myself. I am one of the people that helped to make NEW championship wrestling what it is today. The reality is simple, sure you have been in nCw’s before this one. But they were not the same as this one is. All of those previous attempts at globalization failed miserably for one reason or another. You were a great man, and a dedicate man when it came to National Championship Wrestling, but when it comes to the here and the now, it is not the National CW that is succeeding. It is the NEW CW that is thriving and alive and well. The big difference between the old attempts and the current one are simple, the wrestlers are better, the talent is deeper, and the titles are more prestigious. Competition is fierce here, and it always has been and always will be. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am not going to stand here and say that I am the reason that nCw is alive and well, that is the difference between true ego and true confidence. As great as my career resurgence has been since I arrived here, I am not fickle enough to believe that this company is all about me. Without people like Davey Ortega and Spike Kane and Brad Kane, there is no Lance Ryan standing before you today as a triumphant face of this company. To say that I don’t care about this company is a slap in the face Adam, and I resent that fact.
I have been here and watched on as nCw grew from a small company with a decent sized roster, up until when we blossomed into our current incarnation. nCw has been an incredible place to work, and incredible place to wrestle, but I do care about this company. Let’s look at the history lessons here Adam. When I was battling with Davey Ortega for the World Title, I realized something. I realized that Davey was going to do whatever it took to become the World Champion here. I realized that Davey Ortega would cheat to win, I realized that I had to watch my back for the sake of this newborn company, and I did. I created No Warning Shots. A stable yes, but a group of men who did little more than watch one another’s backs and ensure that fair play was what was employed. Then, when I was during my second title reign, I looked around and I realized what was happening. I recognized that this entire roster was breaking down into groups of people that had little idea of what watching one another’s backs was all about, and instead had every idea of what it meant to cheat to win and most of all had every idea of how to win with the numbers game. I look at this company Adam, and I will be honest. I see exactly what you are talking about. I see the disease that has taken over this company, and I see the way that they are destroying the very foundations of the nCw that you and I have slaved over to create. Adam, I just wanted to clear that up for you, let you know that even the most determined people can be wrong. Truth is one thing. Opinion is another.
~*~*~Underdogs. An underdog is a person or a team that is the weaker in any given match-up, or that is decidedly the weakest member. It is hard to believe that a team of Lance Ryan and Adam Knite would ever be considered to be the weakest link, or the decided loser in any match. Many people have often wondered what exactly it could mean to the world of wrestling if these two men ever ended up on the same page. At Road to the Gold, it is just that that is scheduled to happen. However, underdogs they are. Lance and Adam have spent the past few weeks basically trying to one up one another and stepping upon one another’s toes as Lance gunned for the tag team titles, and Adam gunned for the destruction of the Skyslayers. The unthinkable then happened when Spike Kane announced that lance had his tag team title shot, but his partner had already been chosen. The rest as they say is history. This week the pundits have spent their time pointing out the fact that the feuding partners will be taken on the proven tag team in this one, and as said, underdogs they have become. However, in a seeming attempt at truce, Adam Knite announced late in the week that he would work with Lance if Lance would accept his help. Adam went as far as to say that Lance may in fact be the best tag team partner that he has ever had, if the two can work together. The final parting shot from Adam to Lance was that it was now in Lance’s hands whether this team would win and be tag team champions, or they would lose and prove that the underdog seldom prevails.~*~*~[/i]
Lance Ryan: Adam, consider yourself one half of the nCw tag team champions. My thirst for gold is unrivaled in this company. That is known by everyone. There is nobody that longs for the feel of that gold draped over his shoulder than I do. I would go through hell and back to regain some gold, and the reality is that having you as a partner would be far from hell. A dream team to be exact, or at least so I am told. I understand that this is not about the tag team titles, I recognize that you have your eyes set on many other goals in this company, but I think that as veterans of this company we owe it to what we stand for, yes WE, to go out there, show the world why the way that things have been done in the recent past here are not the ways that lead to long roads to success. So, this is me reaching out and taking your olive branch. The two of us combined as a team cannot be overcome by the likes of the Social Enemies. The reign of terror over the tag team division is going to come to an end at our hands and the world will be shocked.
~*~*~Reality often kicks in for pro athletes when they reach a certain age. Many call it the twilight of their careers. The age is believed to be somewhere around 40 for most men, and there is no hiding the fact that Lance Ryan is within spitting distance of that age. One should however not be confused when looking at Lance Ryan. He is coming off of a very recent title reign. He is still at or at least very near to the form that he has had in his entire nCw run, and most of all he is still driven by new goals and driving himself back to the top of the roster. However, there must come a time when his spot will be lost. Young superstars are making their way through the ranks and have their eyes firmly set on Lance’s spot. Young stars that are brash, young stars that are really arrogant, and young stars that feel like the entire world is owed to them. Perhaps that is what these rumblings of revolution is all about. Perhaps Lance’s end is closer than he wants, and closer than he likes. Time will tell. In the meantime, Lance will indeed be taking on two of those stars that are younger than him this Sunday in Talon and Falcon. Two men that he has even begrudgingly admitted he respects. It is a clash between a tag team and a thrown together team. It is a battle between two veterans of nCw and two relative newcomers, it is a war between two men that feel nCw has been invaded by sickness and two men that they believe are a part of that sickness. A lot can happen here and one would be foolish to doubt that the outcome of this match could have a drastic effect on nCw as a whole.~*~*~[/i]
Lance Ryan: Falcon and Talon, Talon and Falcon. The Skyslayers of the Social Enemies, Social Enemies known as the Skyslayers. Like I have said, there is little doubting your talent. You have been the tag team champions since July. You have done a good job at holding off the Corporate Enemies. You have turned down any and all comers. However this Sunday will indeed be a different animal than you have encountered during your tag team title reign. This Sunday is all about differences and similarities. The differences of Adam Knite and Lance Ryan taking on the similarities of the members of the Social Enemies. The **** has been slung, the words have been traded and now all that is left to do is to lace up the boots, tie on the wristbands, and put on the trunks. Four men will have a war this Sunday, and those four men will battle likely until they can battle no more. With Adam and I now on the same page the questions have been answered and the answers have been set in stone. You two mentioned my mantle that I have ready for the tag team titles? It is shined up and ready to be filled with the replicas. My hand is ready to be raised and your shoulders are ready to be pinned to the mat. Reality must be setting in for you now, Adam and Lance on the same side? A cohesive team? Doom. The only question left is how do we get there? What moves will be completed? Who will lay out whom? What happens to the Skyslayers when they are defeated? What happens when the Social Enemies become a failure?
