Issac: To think I questioned if you being here was worth the money she paid me to train you.
Issac realizes what he said right after he said it. He looks up to see the look in JackHammer’s eyes and knows that no good can from this. Andrew is about to try and explain his way out of it when he realizes it is too late. JackHammer has a fire in his eyes.
JackHammer: What the fu*k do you mean she paid you to train me and who is this she that you speak of?
JackHammer asks this question already knowing in his mind who he was speaking about. Issac takes a few steps back to get out of the reach of JackHammer.
Issac: Forget I said anything. It’s not important. What is important is that you are ready for Mind Games this Sunday.
JackHammer: Who in the fu*k paid you to train? I want to fu*king know right fu*king now.
If Issac was worried that JackHammer had changed to much the words that are coming out of JackHammer’s mouth right now are proof that even the most reformed person can just as easily flip right back into the mind set that they had grown accustomed to. Issac continues to take steps backwards. It is obvious he can now see that JackHammer isn’t in the same state of mind he was just a couple of minutes ago.
Issac: Look JackHammer I wasn’t suppose to say anything. She wanted me to help you. She thought that if you got into a regiment that it might help you in your career. She was trying to help you JackHammer.
JackHammer: Just tell me who the hell it is. I don’t need anymore bullsh*t. Who is it?
Issac: Her name is Vanessa. She set everything up through Angie.
JackHammer didn’t even hear the last thing Issac said. He didn’t need to. The answer he wanted was heard. Vanessa is the one who was trying to help JackHammer out. Of all the people who could want to help him, this is not the bi*ch that JackHammer wants help from. JackHammer doesn’t say another word to Issac, he just heads out of the gym on a mission. Issac doesn’t even have time to say a word to stop him. All he has time to do is head into the office to make the phone call that might save a life, but Issac doesn’t know if the cops will be able to stop him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If JackHammer was thinking about the death of Vanessa before, now he is planning on calling her ex husband so he could tell Vanessa’s children the bad news of their mothers demise. JackHammer pulls up to his house and jumps out and heads towards the front door all in one jump. Goliath comes running out of the house trying to stop JackHammer before he can do anything that he might regret. Wait this is JackHammer we are talking about here. Regret is not a word that the man has in his vocabulary or is the word remorse. The only problem that stands in JackHammer’s way is if he gets arrested then Lisa won’t have the money coming into the house so that she can eat and have a life that all children should be allowed to have. JackHammer tries to be a good father, but thoughts of his daughters happiness never seem to come across the thoughts in his mind. Whether it be Lisa asking him for the newest toys or whether it be the tears of a daughter hoping that her father comes home after wrestling in a match that no wrestler would ever agree to take apart in. Goliath gets in between his cousin and the front door.
Goliath:It’s not worth going to jail for JackHammer. She did everything that she has done in the past few months because she wants to help you.
Goliath knows that the words he is saying right now is useless, but at least it is buying some time for Vanessa to go wherever she needs to go so that the rage of JackHammer doesn’t become the last thing to happen in her life.
JackHammer: Get out of my way Goliath. I have a slut that needs to die.
Goliath:All she did was pay a trainer to help you get in shape. Didn’t you ever question why he never asked you to pay him when he was constantly asking everyone else to pay before every class.
JackHammer: He never let anyone else in the gym with me when I was training. I think he was afraid that I would do something to one of the students that might have made something out of their lives. What do I have to show for my life?
Goliath looks back at the house and then back at his cousin.
Goliath:Well even if you don’t want to be thankful for the house that you have to live in, think about the little girl that you get to come to this home and see whenever you want to. There are people out there who never get to see their children and it kills them inside, but you, poor JackHammer only gets to see his daughter every day of his life. So don’t tell me you have nothing to live for, but if you go and do something to Vanessa then you will not only lose her because you will be in jail, but you will also lose her because she will not forgive you for taking away the only woman that she knows that comes close to being her mother.
This has been the argument thrown in the face of JackHammer so many times he has lost count of how many occasions that he has been reminded of that fact. It is obvious to JackHammer that his daughter does indeed love Vanessa, and even though he usually brings up the point that she has a mother as his reasoning behind hating Vanessa, there are other reasons behind why he reacts the way he does. The real reason that JackHammer hates having that thrown in his face is because JackHammer knows that Vanessa would make a better parent than JackHammer could even on his best day. Vanessa doesn’t get to see her children as much as she would like to, but when she does have them JackHammer has seen how their faces glow and how happy they are just to be with their mother. She doesn’t have to buy them gifts to get their love. She gets it because they love her and know that she is their mother. JackHammer has had to face this fact since Goliath went on vacation and Vanessa showed up trying to..Hey wait a minute. A thought has come into the mind of JackHammer. She showed up right after Goliath left. Was this all a set up to make sure that JackHammer didn’t mess things up or was this all just to show himself that he can do things without others around. Was this all a test, and if was, did he fail?
If he fails at this it means that he has failed his daughter. That kind of failure can not happen to him. He may have failed at almost everything else in his life, but to think that he has failed his daughter is not something that he can live with. JackHammer quickly walks past his cousin who is still trying to calm him down.
Goliath:JackHammer just because you don’t like what she has done, doesn’t mean that she didn’t do it for a good reason.
JackHammer: Shut up Goliath. I am going to go talk to Lisa.
JackHammer says this as he walks. He doesn’t even bother to look at his cousin as he says it. JackHammer just heads into this house and towards the bedroom of his daughter. As he gets close to his daughter’s room he can hear her talking. This confuses JackHammer because he is standing outside her door and Goliath is outside. He thinks that Vanessa might be in the room, but he doesn’t hear her voice. JackHammer is about to open Lisa’s door when he hears what Lisa is talking about.
Lisa: Hi Mommy, I don't know if you remember me. I'm Lisa. I'm six now and wish you were here. Daddy gave me this picture so I could see you. I miss you and Daddy misses you too. I know Daddy needs you. I want you to come back and be with us.
JackHammer pulls his hand away from the door knob. He can’t bring himself to go into the room. The thought of him having to explain everything to her is just to hard to bear right now. JackHammer knows that if he has this talk now then he won’t be able to leave for Mind Games. This is the kind of topic that may cause him to never leave her side again. JackHammer just stands there for little bit longer listening to his daughter talk to her mother.
Issac realizes what he said right after he said it. He looks up to see the look in JackHammer’s eyes and knows that no good can from this. Andrew is about to try and explain his way out of it when he realizes it is too late. JackHammer has a fire in his eyes.
