~{/SETTING\}~
Fresh off a tag team victory over Mike Honcho, the self proclaimed "Honcho Man" and "The Burning" Phillip Burns, better known as The Burning Man. What the hell? That sounds more like something they need to go see a doctor about. This week is the climax to the story, and Jimmy Zane, the VooDoo Child, is hellbent on making it the greatest story ever told. The story that kids today will tell their kids about. And they will be able to tell their kids that their grandparents were there when Jimmy Zane and Phillip Burns went to war! WAR INDEED!
Jimmy is seen walking into the Hilton in downtown San Jose, California. Site of nCw Transgression, live on Pay Per View! He walks in wearing his "Three Strikes" garb and sunglasses. He gets to the counter to check in, as the girls turns around to help him.
~{/JIMMY ZANE\}~
Yeah, I need to check in, please.
~{/COUNTER GIRL\}~
Sure thing, sir (looking up at him.) OH MY GOD! You! You! You!
~{/JIMMY ZANE\}~
Please, don't.
~{/COUNTER GIRL\}~
(screaming) YOU'RE JIMMY ZANE! I cannot believe it! Jimmy Zane is staying in my hotel,. I am so excited! I am a huge fan. I. I. I. I. I.
~{/JIMMY ZANE\}~
Breathe deep, lady. Try to act like you have met a celebrity before, please.
~{/COUNTER GIRL\}~
Oh my.... oh my......(THUD)
~{/SETTING\}~
The girls faints and falls to the floor. Jimmy rolls his eyes and looks around for someone else to help her. He waves over a guy who looks to be the manager. He walks over, giving a bit of a disgusted look as he sees Jimmy's attire, and multicolored hair.
~{/HILTON MANAGER\}~
Uhhhh, yes, can I help you sir?
~{/JIMMY ZANE\}~
Yeah, your counter girl over here passed out.
~{/HILTON MANAGER\}~
(rushing around the counter) Oh my lord! Are you alright? (girl doesn't respond) What kind of man stands there while a poor girl is lying injured on the floor? Please kindly remove yourself from the hotel, sir, there are no more rooms!
~{/SETTING\}~
He is holding the girls head off the floor trying to get her to come to. When Jimmy responds to his obvious attempt at kicking Jimmy out of the Hilton.
~{/JIMMY ZANE\}~
Yeah, you see, I don't think that's going to happen Chief. I have a pre-paid reservation, and you are going to give me my room key before I throw you a beating.
~{/HILTON MANAGER\}~
Who do you think you are, sir? You can't just come into the Hilton, making outrageous demands, and expecting everyone to fall at your feet to do whatever you want.
~{/JIMMY ZANE\}~
My name is Jimmy Zane, and that is exactly what I expect.
~{/SETTING\}~
The manager's scowl turns into a look of worry before finally changing to a fake smile. He drops the girls head back onto the floor and steps over here and begins to type into the computer.
~{/HILTON MANAGER\}~
Mr. Zane! Why didn't you just say so, sir? I would be happy to check you in! BOBBY! (calling the busboy) I do apologize for this, Mr. Zane. Bobby, take Mr. Zane's bags up to his room, please. I am going to give him a personal tour and take him to his room shortly.
~{/SETTING\}~
Bobby takes the bags, and leaves as the manager comes around the counter.
~{/HILTON MANAGER\}~
Now, if you will follow me, I would be happy to show you ar....
~{/JIMMY ZANE\}~
Hey man, what's your name?
~{/HILTON MANAGER\}~
Reginald, sir.
~{/JIMMY ZANE\}~
Well......Reginald...... I have been staying in hotels most of the last 6 years, so if you have seen one, you have seen them all. I have a huge match at the arena this weekend, and I would really like to get to my room, take a shower, relax, and just get mentally focused for the match. I don't need your staff kissing my ass, or screaming every time they see me, or any of that crap. I need quiet and privacy. Got it?
~{/HILTON MANAGER\}~
Yes, sir...got it. Clear as day, sir. Plain and simple, sir. crystal clear, sir!
~{/JIMMY ZANE\}~
Enough with the "sir" business, man. Just give me my keycard!
~{/SETTING\}~
Reginald hands him the keycard and he walks over the elevator and presses the up button. He gets on the elevator, and rides up to his floor. As he gets off, he looks up to see Xander standing there waiting for him. He sighs and walks past him to his room. He slides his keycard and walks in, and Xander walks in right behind him.
~{/XANDER\}~
Jimmy, I don't know what the hell your problem is, but I don't appreciate you talking to my dad the way you talked to him. He has always been there for you, and to treat him that way is just stupid.
~{/JIMMY ZANE\}~
Xander, I am going to explain something to you one time, and one time only, so I hope you pay attention and take in what I am saying. Your dad is a distraction for me. His antics, and retarded training techniques, and all the other bull**** he does, is too much for me to deal with in the middle of this fued with Burns. Burns has now teamed up with Honcho, and your dad is too much like him. I mean seriously, I despise everything about Burns, even the company he keeps! So what kind of hypocrit would I be, hanging out with Gibby right now? Look, it's nothing personal, just business. I am forging ahead in nCw, and I am doing it because I got serious about Jimmy Zane. I got serious about winning, and dammit, I got serious, PERIOD!
~{/XANDER\}~
Granted, he is a nut sometimes. But to just discard him like old trash? There is no honor in that.
~{/JIMMY ZANE\}~
Honor? You are going to come in here, and really talk to me about honor? You have lost your damn mind! I go out there every single week, standing up for the honor of not only my family, but for everyone who ever came before us in this business. I pay homage to those men and women who paved the way for me to do what I do for a living by sacrificing their bodies. For putting up with the laughter and ridicule they were subjected to when someone asked them what they did for a living.
I wear that badge of honor every single time, Xander. EVERY....SINGLE.....TIME! Now, your dad did a lot for me, I don't deny that. I have learned so much from him, and I could never repay him for the knowledge he has bestowed upon me in the past. But it's time that I move on. It's time that I do what I got to do for MY legacy to live on. I look at all of these guys going out to the ring, working it half-assed, and really giving wrestlers a bad name. People like Mike Honcho, and Phillip Burns make me sick. They think this is all fun and games. They make my life a joke with their antics, and I WON'T BE MADE A JOKE OF, XANDER! I can't and I won't. The day will come when I get the chance to talk to your dad face to face, man to man, and explain things, but until that day comes, I just got to keep doing what I am doing, and that's WINNING!
I have beaten some of the most highly thought after wrestlers in the last few weeks. I beat them handily, if I do say so myself. My stock is rising, and this week, it's about to explode. Phillip Burns is going to regret the day he ever laid eyes on Jimmy Zane! He will regret the day he ever decided to become a professional wrestler. He will wander for weeks and months to come why the hell he ever agreed to an Xtreme Rules match with me. I know it's going to be a brutal display of carnage, but that's what I want. I want it to be violent and beautiful at the same time. A delicate blend of agony and joy.
The bottom line is, I can't stay focused on that with your dad around. He makes me unfocused. He makes me lose my train of thought. Honestly, Xander, he makes me weak. And this week, weakness is not something that will work in my favor.
~{/XANDER\}~
Well, I am sorry you feel that way, Jimmy. I really am, but dad wanted you to know that he will be rooting for you this week. We will be watching from home, and I hope you get everything you think you are going to get.
~{/SETTING\}~
Xander turns to walk out the door. As he is walking out, Jimmy says something that he stops to hear.
~{/JIMMY ZANE\}~
Tell your dad I will talk to him soon.
~{/SETTING\}~
Xander knods his head and walks out the door. Jimmy sits down in his chair, pissed off. He walks over and makes himself a "Jack & Coke" and takes a few sips. He then guzzles it down, closes the drapes to make the room completely dark, and then lays down on his stomach on the bed. He folds his arms under the pillow and closes his eyes. Before he knows it, he drifts off to sleep and the scene fades to black.
