~FLASHBACK~
The Scene: Backstage after the Collision that would feature a match between Trent Helms and Adam Knite. Trent Helms wins after Adam stopped to help the referee back to his feet, on the one year anniversary of Collision.
{Adam stands backstage with his head lowered, leaning against a wall. He takes a deep sigh as he has a lot running through his head.}
Voice: I saw what happened out there..... real shame.
{Adam looks up to see Lance Ryan standing there.}
Adam: Why are “YOU” here? You trying to rub it in?
Lance: Oh, no, by no means would I do that.
Adam: Then what do you want?
Lance: I can tell by the look on your face, you think something was awfully wrong with the way that match ended.
Adam: It was just a misunderstanding... Trent wouldn't...
Lance: Why wouldn't he?
Adam: He's my best friend...
Lance: Would a friend do that to you? What happened out there.. it was no accident Adam. Trent Helms rose to the top and stole my World Title using the same strategy. He cut every corner and used every dirty tactic in the book. All he has in mind is one thing.. being at the top, it's the only thing that matters to him. He couldn't even stand seeing his best friend get the better of him, to get a little bit of the spotlight.
Adam: …...
Lance: Look deep down inside of you.... you know it's true.
Adam: Regardless, it still doesn't answer the “why are you here” question.
Lance: I'm looking for people to join me, join me in a movement I'm starting up... a Revolution.
Adam: why?
Lance: change.
~END FLASHBACK~
It feels like it's been years since the Age of the Revolution was reformed, since me and Lance dared to do something different than what was expected of us. We didn't fall in line like the rest of the sheep, we wanted more. We from the outset knew what that would require... sacrifice. Not just us burning bridges that possibly could never be repaired, but by us giving our good names up to be crucified to the public. From the very beginning we knew what it would take to get the attention of the masses, we had to threaten everything they cared about, get them to unite as one to bring us down and to bring back the spirit of nCw..... we wanted that more than we cared about ourselves.
Do you know how it feels inside of me to know that everybody in attendance hates my guts? Do you think I enjoy being hated, even though I put myself in this position for a reason, every time somebody spits in my direction it cuts me deep. However, it is a necessary turn of events, somebody had to be the lightning rod, somebody had to be the sacrificial lamb. I stepped up to the plate and I became that person, my sacrifice was supposed to bring nCw together, it was supposed to draw the masses out and have them take up their torch and pitchforks and destroy the monster that threatened everything they loved.
However, as the nature of things tend to be.... plans had to be changed. You all stood around sitting on your hands, hoping this AotR scourge would go away, and now our plan has morphed into something much more menical. If just threatening a Revolution didn't work, then we had to actually start the process. We had to finally rip the walls of nCw down so we could start rebuilding. Why won't you rebuild with us AJ? Why do you continue to fight?
We can stand as brothers in that ring AJ, we dont' have to fight instead of tearing nCw apart, forcing the fans and wrestlers to choose a side, we could stand united, we could bring nCw into a new era. Think about it, no longer would we have to worry about the rift raft infesting our halls, we would be in control of who got in, we would be in control over the daily operations, it could be the greatest alliance ever formed. Ncw would rise to heights, never seen before in a wrestling federation.
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Aj as you go onward down the path you've chosen, more and more will you see you follow the road that many have taken before you. There have been thousands of wrestlers who have come down these roads and there have been thousands who took the path that led them to fall in line and follow through with their conformity. They didn't dare to dream, or dare to be different, all they could do is keep with the status quo and have lies force fed to them until they believed the lies to be truth. You've chosen your way and now you have to follow through, you want things to stay the same, you want to never experience change, that's fine keep your close minded ordeals and never dare to be different, that's fine with me, that's fine with the Revolution, but the rest of us, Age of the Revolution... we choose to dream.
We will not stand by and have somebody tell us what to think, tell us what we should feel, we will stand up and fight for what's right. We dare to dream, to have our own thoughts, our own views on life and on nCw. For us, it's about something more, these fans who come to see nCw action every night deserve more than a bunch of a wrestlers with no heart wrestling a match that has no purpose. We know we serve a greater purpose in life, we know we are meant for more, we don't turn a blind eye to our calling, we stand tall and take blunt force trauma to the chest for what we believe in.
Open your eyes, and see the truth, my dear dear AJ. We both want the same thing, deep down you can surely see that. Can you feel your conscience pulling at your heart strings, begging you to do the right thing? I know you can AJ, I know you feel the tug. Why do you refuse to listen? You can make a difference, you can live for something AJ. You don't have to live this sham anymore where you just follow orders, and follow the path of others. Choose the road less traveled and never look back.
AJ... Sunday, we will be in that ring together... as rivals.... butt we could be there... together... united for nCw... won't you please do the right thing?
