We'll stick with Starrcade. At Cade 86 Ric Flair defended his world title againt who and who was the person he replaced that was orginally suppose to face Flair?

Flair Wrestled Nikita Kohoff (sp?) Who own a gym in the town I live in, which is Concord, North Carolina.
He was originally supposed to face Magnum T.A

Ok, so since no one wants to post a new questions, the new guy's got one....
"The Macho Man" Randy Savage has a DVD coming out soon, so....
Savage is not Macho's real last name. What is it and why was it changed to Savage?
|
|
|
Post by JackHammer on Jun 3, 2009 0:26:48 GMT -6
Randall Mario Poffo was his real name and the reason he changed it to Savage as a suggestion from Ole Anderson, who had said that the name Poffo didn't fit someone who wrestled like a savage.

Here we go with something different. Awhile ago on TNA Mike Tenay claimed that Team 3D was only the 2nd American tag team to win the IWGP tag title but of course he was dead wrong.
How many American teams have won the IWGP tag belts and what teams where they Team 3D inculded?
|
|
|

1. The Steiner Brothers 2. Bam Bam Bigelow and Vader 3. Tony Halme & Scott Norton 4. The Jurassic Powers (Hercules hernandez & Scott Norton) 5. Giant Bernard & Travis Tomko 6. Team 3D And if you are counting Teams that had American wrestlers on them, then include:
7. The Hell Raisers (Hawk Warrior (Road warrior Hawk) and Power Warrior(Kensuke Sasaki).)
And Technically Tenay is correct. Team 3D is only the second tag team that is a consitant tag team in the US to win the IWGP titles. The Steiners were the first. Bigelow and Vader tagged briefly, but not for the long haul like the Steiners and 3D.

How many American teams have won the IWGP tag belts and what teams where they Team 3D inculded? In Mike Tenay's defense, I think he meant "American Tag Team" as in a Tag Team that primarily wrestles in the US as a tag team, not a tag team composed of two Americans. Thought I'd just throw that out there.

hmm.. I just checked the official IWGP Tag team title history and the Road Warriors aren't listed, but I believe they did hold the titles at one point... wierd... Anyway.
Old school question. Harley Race is one of my all time favorite NWA Champions, so............
Early in Race's Career Race was in a horrible car accident that killed his pregnant first wife and left him in a state to where they were minutes away from Amputating one of his legs. Who was it that stopped the doctors from taking King Harley's leg?

Ok, update on the Road Warriors IWGP title run.. I just did some research and The Road warriors never held the IWGP titles, they held the NWA International tag title which were exclusive to All Japan Pro Wresting. After 1989, they got unified with the PWF tag titles and became the "Double Cup" of tag team wrestling in Japan.
