Link 1Link 2I noticed that War Games was among the 'new' PPV ideas. Maybe that's going to be Vince's replacement for Survivor Series? Discuss.

I don't think they ever HAD a pay per view just titled War Games but it was their concept. The WWE is thinking of using it because it owns.

Then it's not War Games. Its piece of crap worth too much money. Then again that describes all their pay per views...

War Games was cool, it was the name of the PPV until WCW got rid of it. I love Survivor Series. Something about the elimination tag matches were just awesome. And it is one of the main four PPVs. WWE has down played the PPV for the past few years though, so they're more to blame for it's "failing." Of course the economy isn't helping. I thought this last SS was really freaking good. I don't think they should get rid of Survivor Series, it's an awesome PPV and it usually happens on or around my birthday. Stupid Vince.

Survivor Series has sucked since like 199whatever when they had the final match of survival. Since then I haven't cared, that one ruled. Undertaker debuted, and Hogan/Warrior/Santana defeated the Visionaries/Dibiase
That ruled

Fact check, XW. Screwjob was '97. Black Jesus is never wrong. I mean essentially War Games was WCW's answer to Survivor Series, except they added another ring and a giant cage. However the way WWE is going with their Pay-Per-Views it'll be, "The Giant Cage Team Battle!" which is too Japanese for my taste. Idk, TLC, Elimination Chamber. Survivor Series is one of the 'Big 4' Wrestling Pay Per Views, people grew up with it. I don't see the point in retiring it...I say if you retire Survivor Series, retire the Undertaker. Pwease?

Truth be told who knows or really cares. They are just doing it to build hype on whatever other PPV they stick in there. They are getting rid of ECW because it was just a stunt using the name of the greatest hardcore american wrestling to hopefully get their purist fans (They didn't bank on the fact that you actually have to be Extreme to get Extreme fans. Go figure) Truth be told I hope Vince sinks into the crapper he has single handedly been the downfall of his entire wrestling organization.
The lesson for today kids is competition breeds hunger; Apathy sloth.

Survivor Series being retired is kinda...normal I guess. I mean. Next ones to go are Summerslam and such. It seems the only two remaining "original" PPVs that will be left come 2012 will be Wrestlemania and the Rumble. The rest seem to not be the older ones. WWE is in identity crisis...and well...they'll see shortly how much they are ****ing up when they can't get people to care about the other ppvs cuz they are "failing" too.

Does the name of a PPV really matter at all? It's the matches that count. That's the problem with today's society: name's have too much value. Whether it be wrestling where some people cheer for Ted Dibiase Sr. just because they've heard of him, or in Hollywood where Tom Cruise can get a movie role because he's Tom Cruise.
We wrestling fans as a whole need to stop our ****ing bitching already. Being a nancy isn't going to change anything.
