The idea for the show is that the FCW guys are going to be paired off with veteran wrestlers in an Ultimate Fighter/Tough Enough style show, in an attempt to make it on Raw or Smackdown. I don't know for certain if only the winner makes it on or not, but the increased exposure should really help these guys make it up.
Here’s a look at the nine wrestlers who are expected to be part of WWE NXT: Season 1, which debuts next Tuesday night on Syfy:
- Justin Angel (FCW Champion) - Daniel Bryan (formerly Bryan Danielson) - Kaval (formerly Low Ki) - Skip Sheffield - Joe Hennig (son of Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig) - Brett Dibiase (son of the Million Dollar man, brother of Ted Jr.) - Darren Young - Heath Slater - Michael Tarver
Angel, Danielson, Low Ki, Henning, and Dibiase should make for some good TV. Skip Sheffield is the big roided up guy Ryan "Silverback" Reeves from Tough Enough. Slater's been on the cusp of making it up for a while, but never really got there. He's pretty highly touted too. Tarver and Young I don't know much about, but Young's got a unique look.

If they go with the format you're talking about, I think it would make for a very enjoyable show. I always liked the Tough Enough, so things like that would be good.

From what I hear Michael Tarver is a pretty sick heel on the mic. Could lead to something good.

Partnerships Revealed!:
- Below are the partnerships between WWE Superstars and NXT stars on the new show that debuts next week. A few of these names differ from the list that was released earlier of developmental talents on the show. * The Miz & Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) * MVP & Skip Sheffield * Chris Jericho & Wade Barrett * Matt Hardy & Justin Gabriel (presumably Justin Angel) * Carlito & Michael Tarver * Christian & Heath Slater * CM Punk & Darren Young * R-Truth & David Otunga

Apparently the first list posted on the WEBZ today was wrong. Dibiase, Henning, and Kaval are all absent from the show.
Still looks good though.

being who they are, they stand to benefit least from this show anyway

Slater , Daniel and Gabriel , the future of this business, I heard Tarver was trained by Mike Tyson and I already saw one of his promos in FCW , he's damn good.

I just wish I didn't have class Tuesday nights so I can actually check it all out. I've been watching some FCW stuff on youtube and they've got some great talent there. I'm looking forward to seeing Bret Dibiase and Joe Hennig move up and see how they use them.
