Yeah, I have so many comments to make, it's not even funny.
WWE:
- I was vaguely interested in the Bret Hart/Vince McMahon storyline which would lead to a squash match/beatdown at Wrestlemania, but as it has turned out, every week that Bret has been on the show he has been made to look like a chump. He's getting beat up, screwed over, or made to look like a feeble old man {which, in all honesty, he is} Now, with last week his leg being "broken" by a woman who honestly waited for Bret and Cena OUTSIDE her car, as if waiting for a cue, being doing so. I expect that on the next edition of Raw that Vince will feign knowledge, and make a "women can't drive" joke. I am thinking that Bret really is having second thoughts about getting into the ring again, it's not like he can really train or even take a bump, I think he's worried about stinking up the joint.
- CM Punk is the best thing going in WWE. That is all.
- I am thinking that old man Taker is ready to retire, this title run that he's on has seemed especially brutal for him, and I'm almost banking on him losing the title at the chamber so he can take some much needed time off, I am wondering who they will have him wrestle at WM, as Shawn Michaels is an option, but not one I personally want to see, and I'm seeing more of a Shawn Michaels vs. HHH at WM
- ECW is dead now, thank god. Calling it ECW seemed like an insult anyway. Is it just me, or did ECW's GM Tiffany, turn out to the be the worst kayfabe GM of all time? She traded away Jack Swagger, Sheamus, & Evan Bourne. She got nothing in return, and at the second to last show, she was partying as if ECW's wrestlers were all going to make it big on Raw or Smackdown. Uh, no. Croft and Baretta, Tyler Rex, Goldust, & Vance Archer will be released within months. Yoshi Tatsu, Shelton Benjamin, Christian, Regal and Zeke will have a small role, most likely all on Smackdown. Kozlov....I don't know about.
-The NXT show (which to my knowledge hasn't been pronounced "NEXT" by anyone) looks like a decent show to start, but will not attract any casual fan.
TNA:
- Ugh, this show is so horrible. Impact is moving to Monday night's on the 8th of March, which for them, is something of a godsend.
- Can anyone explain who exactly are the faces, or heels {besides AJ and Flair}? I hate this whole "smart fans will cheer for who they like" gimmick. Vince Russo tried this in WCW and it didn't work. Not everyone is a shade of ****ing grey dude.
- The show is so bad, they edited wrong the past three weeks, week one after Genesis, Angle hated Hogan. In week 2 Angle apologized and is friends with Hogan. Week three, he's gonna beat Hogan up again. For god sake, does no one proof-watch this stuff?
- Why are the Nasty Boys on my screen at all?
- Hogan took away the six sided ring and proclaimed it only got them so far, {Max 1.4 rating.} Since Hogan has been the main player, Ratings went to a 1.5 And have steadily gone down since then. {last week was a 1.2}
Just a side note:
For anyone who has complained about TNA's lack of wrestling on a two hour show, I can do you one better:
WCW Monday Nitro, March 7th 1999
Final rating 2.61
Why was this show so bad? While TNA gives five minutes, WCW's first hour on programming in a three hour time slot featured ZERO matches. It featured the following:
8-9pm
1:Video of kids jumping around at Nitro
2:Nitro girl interview
3:Konnan music video
4:Hogan/Nash skit making fun of Flair
5:Skit with Buff Bagwell and Scott Steiner becoming cops after being arrested
6:Hogan/Nash skit REPLAY
7:Hogan/Nash/Torrie Wilson skit at gun range
8:Hogan Nash/Torrie Wilson skit at dinner.
The rest of the results {just for the heck of it}
1:Ric Flair skit: challenges Goldberg
2:Raven vs. Hardcore Hak vs. Bam Bam = No Contest
3:Chris Jericho def. Lizmark Jr.
4:Scott Steiner def. Booker T
5:Rey Mysterio Jr. def Scott Norton
6:Bret Hart def. Van Hammer
7:Ric Flair vs. Goldberg = No Contest
Also, here are some screwed up WCW endings:
1: Hulk Hogan wins a strap match by pinning Ric Flair
www.youtube.com/watch?v=73kzYiEW5mQ
2: Ric Flair def. Hulk Hogan in a cage match via pinfall
www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCXGnWNC9AU
3: Hulk Hogan def. Sid Vicious after pinning Rick Steiner
www.youtube.com/watch?v=gH2KH414xG0
4: Brian Knobbs def Bam Bam in a fall count anywhere match {via countout}
5: Lex Luger and Randy Savage get double dq'ed in a no dq match
