THE FOX REPORT REDUX
Holy crap it's been over a year since we saw a Fox Report... many things have happened since then, most notibly I'm no longer a "Fox"! So this name just doesn't seem to work anymore, that's why on the first addition of The Fox Report Redux, we shall have a poll to come up with a new name! I've come up with some great puns that you can consider and vote on.
With that out of the way I think it's time that we got straight to it, I'm a little rusty and it's been a long time so excuse me, but I'll do my best to bring back the total quality that you have come to expect from this once proud article.
LAST WEEK REVIEW
So this past week on the three NCW shows, we had some really good matches. Seeing Brad Kane and Andrew Jacobsen squaring off was a treat. Those two are some fine X-Division stars, even if Brad is a flaming douchebag. However, Collision as is the case most of the time, took center stage and gave us not only a memorable show but an infamous one as well. And I'm not just talking about those three stooges who walk around demanding respect.
Thanks to the actions of Brad and Megan Kane the NCW has been hit hard and heavey with sanctions and stern warnings from the FCC and the parent Network. Kane has always been "anti-normal" or whatever it is he calls his way of life, but this week he took things that extra step. I would not be surprised if you saw him serving a suspension in the next few weeks, because the word is from daddy's office that he is not pleased at all about what happened. In fact I'd go as far as to say he was "livid" about the whole incident.
Then of course we have women's match, that wasn't for a title, that wasn't for anything other than the enjoyment of the fans, turned into a blood bath when Julietta Lee puts Zelda Knite through a pane of glass with the unbirth. Now the record books are going to say that Zelda walked out of the match with a win, but anybody who actually watched the match will see it differently as Zelda's back and shoulders looked she had just went through a meat grinder. To me this was completely uncalled for, it was disgusting and putting the inexperience Knite in that type of environment was just asking for trouble.
These two events, almost ruined what was a fantastic show on paper. We had Will Washington and AJ Phoenix making their returns to an NCW ring, we have the World and National champions in the main event, and we even had a huge six man tag team match. Please fans, don't let recent events like these, and equally gruesome hanging of Gib at Crossroads deter you from watching NCW television.
Thanks to the actions of wrestlers that are getting completely out of hand I have to give this weeks show a 7.7 out of 10. Zelda Knite's back, Brad Kane's censoring, and Infamous ruining what should of been a great tag team match, are all things they keep this show from being one of NCW's best displays. However if I was doing a scale based on memorability, then this show would have to be a 10 for sure.
THIS WEEK'S PREVIEW
This weeks starts off what is the most exciting time of the year for New Championship Wrestling, we kick off the Sovereign festivities. Twelve men are going to get a chance to earn their way into NCW's biggest spectacle, the Coliseum match. Where they will be given one shot at becoming the next Gladiator. Last year my man Adam Knite was able to win the Coliseum and went on to win the world title from the Ace. The year before we saw Dave Holland become the Gladiator and fall just short of winning the belt from Lance Ryan. So it's anybody's guess what this years winner will be able to do, but it's an opportunity that they can't pass up.
Now it's that time where I make my predictions for this week, however I'm going to add my special spin to it, any jackass can "guess" who the winner of a match is going to be, me, I'm going to tell you who I'm rooting for instead, in a completely biased opinion.
COLISEUM QUALIFIER
Xavier Williams vs Will Washington
Xavier Williams is a former World Champion and can beat anybody on any night, but I'm going for Will Washington here. The man has been looking to redeem himself ever since the RttG finals, this is his chance.
COLISEUM QUALIFIER
Jimmy Zane vs Atreyu
Jimmy Zane is a dear old friend of mine, but he's acting like a real SOB right now, so I'm throwing my support behind Atreyu.
COLISEUM QUALIFIER
Kristoff Liam Bates vs Brad Kane
Hey look at this, the battle of the douches. Will it be ocean mist or vanilla fresh who comes out the victor? I don't care, but I think Bates will pull this win out.
COLISEUM QUALIFIER
Xavier Cross vs Paul Star
Champion versus champion, both men have been on a roll and it seems to take an act of God to slow down both of them. I'm going to be rooting for Xavier, but I wouldn't be shocked or saddened if Star wins.
COLISEUM QUALIFIER
Andrew Jacobsen vs "Sexy" Jason Lovegun
Jacobsen is from Minnessota a state that some question if it even exists and he's taking on the man with the coolest last name ever, it's not rocket science to see who I'm pulling for... Lovegun.
COLISEUM QUALIFIER
Ricky Johnson vs Sephiroth Du Lac
Nothing against fang boy... ok actually there is, he's stupid, but I'm going for Ricky Johnson, the man has been impressive since he's come back.
MAIN EVENT: TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Steve Awesome vs. "The Phoenix" Alex Jones vs. Angel
After what Angel did to Gib I hope Jones and Steven rip his arms off and beat him to death with them. That's no exaggeration. As long as one of them beats Angel, I don't care, but Steven did install a new door bell ringer for my dad's place...
THE FAB FIVE
These wrestlers really stood out this week, and in recent weeks. They deserve some special notice for their recent body of work.
5. Steve Awesome - Carried Hexx and Happy on his back, against some old foes.
4. Tempestad - He started off his career with a lot of loses, but that looks to be well behind him.
3. Zelda Knite - A fish out of water you say? maybe not after that Xtreme showing. She maybe battered and bruised but she walked away with the win.
2. Will Washington - Came back and right away picked up a huge quality win against Alex Jones. He maybe THE wrestler to watch in coming weeks.
1. Xavier Cross - Did he lose to Angel? Sure he did. However, he proved that he belonged in the main event when he pushed the world champion to the limit.
WHO TO KEEP AN EYE ON
This week we have some great matches, and we have some interesting storys going on. If I were you I'd make sure to tune in to see Bad Company take on the unlikely team of Nelly Angel and Lord Dominicus and if I'd make sure to keep an eye on Tempestad during his match, the man has put a lot of work into getting better and it shows.
END
Well fans, that's all for me this week, and hopefully it isn't the end of me for a whole nother year. This is Kelly Knite, and make sure to keep watching all the exciting NCW action.
