Well it's that time again, another Knitelife, and another new poll, so aren't you just so very excited? I hope so. Last week's poll was about the most anticipated match for the week, and I must see I was not surprised at all that we ended up with a tie. the Xander vs. Homeless Harold match and the Alex Jones vs. Xavier Cross match, I'm also not surprised that these two matches actually ended up being very enjoyable matches. The fans know what they like and it showed in the polls and on the show.
This week, I've gone with a twist poll. Every year people attempt to pick the winner of the Coliseum, but nobody ever tries to pick who will be the person that gets pinned or made to submit! Last year it was Angel, and all he did after that was go on to be one half of the longest reigning tag team champions and is the current World champion, so losing this match is nothing to be ashamed over. It may take longer to get where you want, but losing her isn't going to set you back.
So there it is, who do you think will lose, I know this is a tough question considering all of these men are great wrestlers, but lets have some fun with it and see how it turns out in the end.
REVIEW OF LAST WEEK
Are you kidding me? We have an amazing show this past week! There is no denying it, there is no getting around it, it was simply fantastic.
We opened Collision with Boring fAce and Doc, and those two almost ripped each other apart, there seems to be a lot of history there, and they gave us a show. We saw the return of my hubby to an NCW ring, and pick up the win for the Awesome Knites, which was awesome, we saw an Infamous beat down, and if things weren't just great as they were, we saw Magically Delicious act half competent and dumped Dirty Deal into a dumpster!
If all that isn't enough to get you excited, then I really don't know what could, because the only down spot on Collision this past week was Emma English's brutal beating from what were her partners in the six woman tag match, it was a shame they blamed the loss on her, and early word is that English is going to be shelved for a good chunk of time, if not forever.
All in all, I'll have to give a show a solid 9.3 it was a good one.
PREVIEW OF THIS WEEK
Have you seen this card? If you have then I don't even have to tell you how excited I am, because it is stacked with some great matches. Even Wired will be a great show with former World Champion The Ace headlining the preshow.
The Coliseum is obviously going to be the talk of the entire week, and it's going to be "THE MATCH" to watch. We all know that, there is so much on the line and six great wrestlers competing for it, so it's pretty much redundant to talk about how awesome it's going to be.
But there are some good matches leading up to the main event, most notably Gib and Angel in a last man standing match, and a four woman Assault X match for the Women's championship.
Last Week's Record: 7-4 ; Much better, still not what I want, but I'm getting there.
Overall Record: 10-8 ; I've gotta get this percentage up...
Upset of the Week Record: 0-1
Main Event: Singles Match
The Ace vs. Spehiroth Du Lac
Boring fAce has been on a losing streak as of late, it's hard to get out of slumps and he's not facing a slacker, so I'm going with Sephiroth.
Singles Match
Mike Machado vs. Charlie Velez
The Mediocre Mike Machado, I can't vote against the stache in this match.
Singles Match
Doctor Dream vs. Jason Lovegun
The good Doctor is going to beat the Lovegun..... maybe I should of worded that differently.
Main Event: Coliseum
Andrew Jacobsen vs. Paul Star vs. Will Washington vs. Kristoff Bates vs. Jimmy Zane vs. Ricky Johnson
So many great wrestlers to chose from here, this is hard... I'm going to go with Andrew Jacobsen as dark horse pick here, the man has the talent to get this done and he could walk away with the world title shot.
nCw World Championship: Last Man Standing Match
Angel* vs. Homeless Harold
It's been a long hard road for Gib, he's been through so much that I just don't think he'll lose this match, he'll find a way to win.
Singles Match
Steve Awesome vs. Kole Kaos
Steven is very upset with Kaos, he's looked like a different man lately, somebody who is going to win at all costs.
nCw World Tag Team Championship: Tag Team Match
Motor City Mafia* vs. Dominicus Republic
It's hard to vote against the Dominicus Republic, but I'm going to. MCM were determined to beat Dirty Deal and they did, they'll be determined to keep these belts.
Grudge Match
Adam Knite vs. Hardcore Harry
Again... do I have to tell you who I'm going to pick here? I hope Adam hurts Harry good for putting his hands around my neck.
!!!UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
World Women's Championship: Assault X
Zelda Knite* vs. Cleopatra vs. Ayla St. James vs. Roxi Johnson
Not to say that I don't think Zelda can win, I just think there is too much stacked against her and Cleo will find a way to win that belt.
nCw National Championship: Singles Match
Xavier Cross* vs. Brad Kane
Xavier Cross had been slumping before beating Alex Jones, it's going to be tough, but he doesn't want to be a transitional champion, so he'll find a way.
Xtreme Rules Tag Team Match
Dirty Deal vs. Magically Delicious
Even with the great attack this week, I just don't see Magically Delicious being able to last against Dirty Deal.
No Limits Ladder Match
Alex Jones vs. Severe Payne vs. Freakke vs. Doc vs. Joe Everyman vs. Venom
You know what, I'm going with one of the new guys, the easy choice would of been Jones or Everyman, but I'm going with Doc.
There you have it, my predictions for the pay per view, only time will tell how close I was, but right now I feel good about these pics. Good luck to everybody on the show.
THE FAB FIVE
So many choices this week, I just want to lame out and say "everybody was great" but it's my duty to bring you the best of the best.
5. Adam Knite: Sometimes it's hard to come back and get right back in the swing of things, but Adam did it.
4. Xavier Cross: Dropped his slump and picked up a victory over Alex Jones, impressive indeed.
3. Angel: I picked him to lose last week, man did he make me look silly with that one.
2. Ayla St. James: She not only took herself to the Women's title match with her pinning English, but brought Cleo and Roxi with her.
1. Doc: Not too many people are known to beat Ace one on one, but he did it, and he showed he belongs.
WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
Obviously you'll have to make sure and watch the Coliseum. I meant hat goes without saying. There are six of the best young NCW stars going at it inside the rounded cell, and they will be hell bent on gaining that World title match. There is nothing like this pay per view in NCW, these men have a chance to become legends, to be NCW's Gladiator, so you have to tune in to watch it.
As for a certain wrestler, I'd say keep your eye on Brad Kane, I know I picked him to lose up there, but if there is one person who is able to just surprise us all and walk away as a champion on this show, it will be him.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
It's good to see Brad Kane trying to walk the right path again, he had gone down a dark road and it seems he saw the error of his ways, good for him.
The Dominicus Republic seem to be starting to gel, are they finally putting their differences behind them? I don't think so, I think Rob is just waiting for the right moment to shank Nelly.
There are going to be some great matches this coming week, and there is going to be a lot of action. The past two weeks have been nothing but pure excitement leading up to this point and I think it would be a shame for you to miss out on this pay per view. Come on, tune in and give it a watch, you won't be disappointed, I promise.
Thanks for giving this little article of mine a view, and for the support. I'll be here next week, until then enjoy all the great NCW action.
