Ahhh, the Knitelife, if feels good to have this ball rolling again. Last week our poll was over who was going to lose the Coliseum match and the fans chose Ricky Johnson with twice as many votes as his competition. They were wrong, in fact Paul Star who received the fewest votes, was actually pinned by Will Washington.
Before I go any further, I just want to give a big congrats out to Will Washington, he came back to NCW with a purpose, to win that match and he did. Now, he'll try and topple Gib at A Night to Remember, no easy task I assure you.
Now this week's poll is also about Sovereign, what did you think was the most shocking moment on the broadcast? There was a lot going on at Sovereign, almost too much to list, but there are some good choices up there. Dominicus Republic pulling off the win was pretty amazing, as was seeing Gib and Xander hug in the middle of the ring, that had to tug at you heart strings. Then of course there was a certain kiss that happened by complete surprise that I refuse to go into details over.
Speaking of that kiss, I just want to say, that it was nothing. I think Steven just let his emotions get the best of him, he was high on adrenalin from the match and wasn't thinking clearly.
REVIEW OF LAST WEEK
With a show as big as Sovereign, I can't just do a measly couple of paragraphs and call it a night, I've gotta go into details, so here we go.....
The Ace vs. Sephiroth Du Lac
At the end of the night Boring AssfAce "du lac'd" a win. I feel dirty....
Alex Jones vs. Severe Payne vs. Freakke vs. Doc vs. Joe Everyman vs. Venom
It really, really sucks that Alex Jones couldn't been in this match, total shame because this match is almost made for him. In the end however, it was Doc who is soaring up the NCW ranks who picked up the Xtreme title shot. Great job Doc.
Magically Delicious vs. Dirty Deal
Did you honestly think Hexx and Happy were going to win? Seriously? They had a good run and gave this their all, but Dirty Deal was just too much for them.
Brad Kane vs. Xavier Cross
A great match between two very equally matched opponents, Brad Kane took the loss, but he had a great show of sportsmanship afterwards. It's great to see something like that after a brutal match.
Cleopatra vs. Roxi Johnson vs. Ayla St. James vs. Zelda Knite
I knew better than to doubt Zelda. She was determined to win and she wasn't going to let anything stop her. Minor mishap in the match gave the fans at ringside a good view, so I guess that was exciting for all the male fans. The other women fought hard and it was a great match, maybe next time?
Adam Knite vs. Hardcore Harry
Ahhh, my hero, the love of my life, the only person I want to be married to, won this match and did so “for me”. Adam, if you are reading this, I'm sorry about the kiss.... call me.
Motor City Mafia vs. Dominicus Republic
Man, I was really pulling for MCM here. Their rise from being fired by losing to NAZI to the tag team title gold was a great story. They put up a great fight and have nothing to be ashamed of, somehow the two evil masterminds found a way to walk out with tag team gold.
Steve Awesome vs. Kole Kaos
This was a great match and it's a same that what happened afterward is what is going to be remembered about it. Steve made this match a tribute to me and my honor, and you don't know how bad it felt to break his heart after the match..... I'm sorry Steve.
Angel vs. Homeless Harold
These two almost killed each other, you could see the emotion with every blow with every attack. There was just so much meaning behind this match and to see Xander come to his senses and reunite with his father was touching. If you had a dry eye watching that, then you're a dirty commie.
The Coliseum
This match had everything, even a murder attempt when Will Washington was sent off the top of the cage, but in the end Washington had the last laugh. Every man fought so hard and the match was so close that there has to be five broken hearts this morning. It's a shame that five people had to walk out with a loss, especially with all that effort, but Will Washington stands as our Gladiator, so congratulations to him.
So there you have it. The show itself was fantastic, another top quality pay per view by NCW. I dare say there wasn't a single match that i didn't like and thee was just so much emotion it seemed in everything that was going on. I have to give this show a 9.5.
PREVIEW OF THIS WEEK
Last Week's Record :: 9-3 :: Hell Yeah! Now that's what I'm talking about. Would have been even better if I hadn't lost my mind and voted against Zelda.... What was I thinking?
Overall Record :: 19-11 :: Oh you see that, it's coming up, I'm getting back in the swing of things, I'll be picking lotto numbers next, you wait and see.
Upset of the Week Record :: 0-2 :: Maybe my “Upset of the Week” is a curse.. but then again... it's called an “upset” for a reason, so I guess it's natural that this percentage is going to be bad.
HANDI-CAP MATCH
Philip Burns vs. Tommy the Cat and Cat Lady
I'm not going to vote against Burns, especially not against these two weirdos.
!!!UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Clopatra vs. Megan Kane vs. Emma Danielson
You know what, it'd be easy to go with Cleopatra here, but I'm going out on a limb to say Emma Danielson will take this one home.
TAG TEAM MATCH
Dirty Deal vs. Divine Intervention
The former tag team champions took care of Magically Delicious and now they work their way up the tag team ranks... no... Temp and Karras are going to put a stop to that.
MAIN EVENT: SINGLES MATCH
Brad Kane vs. Charlie Velez
Two great wrestlers, but I'm going to have to say Brad Kane will find a way to pull a victory out of this match.
TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Angel vs. Harold Campbell vs. Joe Everyman vs. Jack Hammond
Angel is Poed, he lost his title, he lost his disciple, he's going to try to make a point here.
SINGLES MATCH
Julietta Lee vs. Ayla St. James
Ayla's been chosen to be my father's personal face of the Women's division, she had better not lose.
SINGLES MATCH
Adam Knite vs. Severe Payne
Seriously? Do you have to ask?
XTREME RULES MATCH
Sephiroth Du Lac vs. Doc
This is going to be a great match and could be a preview of A Night to Remember, I'm going with Sephiroth Du Lac here, he's fresh of beating Ace and he wants to go into his match with Ricky Johnson rolling.
nCw X-DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Paul Star* vs. Andrew Jacobsen
Andrew Jacobsen has a good chance of becoming a two time X-Division champion, but I'm going to pick Paul Star here. He'll continue the trend of Coliseum losers shooting to great heights.
MIXED TAG MATCH
Ricky Johnson and Roxi Johnson vs. Steve Awesome and Zelda Knite
The first ever Mixed Tag Team match in NCW history is not going to disappoint. Rick and Roxi obviously know each other very well, but Steven is a great wrestler who will keep Zelda out of trouble and will win this match..
MAIN EVENT: 8 MAN TAG TEAM MATCH
InFamous and The Dominicus Republic vs. Gib and Will Washington and Falcon and Xavier Cross Can you say “awesome” because this is what this match is going to be. I have to stay with the good guys for this one the world and national champions on the same team... hard to beat that.
Man, those are some great matches, the shows this week are stacked. We even have a title match this week, so that should be fantastic, along with the Xtreme title match next week. This is going to be a good show, I swear it, I hope you all tune in and enjoy, if not make sure to give some feedback to the nCw officials either way so they can continue to make a superior product.
THE FAB FIVE
5. Sephiroth Du Lac :: Sent Ace to the retirement home, great job from the vampire this week.
4. Zelda Knite :: The wins just keep racking up for her, and no signs of slowing down.
3. Dominicus Republic :: They may not like each other very well, but they gel as a team and are now champions.
2. William Washington :: The man should be dead right now. There is no way he should of been able to get back in that ring... but he did, and he won.
1. Gib :: Won the world title, won back his son, got his life back and he's never been happier.
WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
Make sure to keep your eye on the first every Mixed tag team match in NCW. It's kind of fitting that Zelda should be in it, since she's been the "first" in a lot of these women's categories. I just hope Steve doesn't take out what happened between me and him on her, Zelda had really started to view Steve as a big brother before this went down.
Also you need to keep your peepers locked on Paul Star vs. Andrew Jacobsen II. AJ wants that title back and he finally gets his rematch, this time could be a completely different outcome, but Paul Star is a tough one to beat.
As for a particular wrestler, make sure to watch Falcon. he makes his return, he has a new attitude and he wants to cause the people who hurt him pain. It'll be great!
CLOSING THOUGHTS
If I may, I want to dedicate my closing thoughts to Steve Awesome. The man fought for me, he was there for me when I needed somebody to lift me up and I feel like I'm being ripped apart inside, and I'm not talking about this bump under my shirt. He's a wonderful man, I just hope we can remain friends.... Now... onto the some thoughts.
It was great seeing Zelda celebrating with her fans despite being in a lot of pain, you could tell that win really meant a lot to her.
Brad Kane has turned the corner, his show of respect last night was amazing. It's good to see him acting this way.
Thank you Xander for coming to your senses.
Will Washington... I still don't know how he got back up.
Now, that's all for today. As always I hope you enjoyed reading this and I hope to get some good feedback from all of you and some neat data for the poll, until next time...
