OPENING
So where should I start, oh I know, by telling you this week I refuse to mention Adam or Steve in this column outside this opening paragraph. I'm not going to give those two any of my time while they settle their differences like barbarians. So lets get to the good stuff this week shall we?
Last week the fans spoke, and the said Conan O'Brien is the king of late night, despite currently not being on Television. I think Conan has a good following with the Knitelife readers so maybe that'll give him a boost as he moves to TBS soon. Philip Burns our own personal late night host had a good showing in that poll and lets all bug and poke him so he can get off his lazy butt and do another show soon.
As you know, one of the best parts about a pay per view is getting to see a kick arse match with an awesome gimmick attached to it. There is always certainly one that will be on the show, one hasn't been announced for A Night to Remember, so I'm going to ask the fans, which gimmicky match would you most like to see at A night to Remember.
I think I've got some good choices up there for you to think over. Give it a looksee and lets see what the NCW fans would most like to see.
REVIEW OF LAST WEEK
We had such an amazing show last week. Did you see Collision? I mean... wow, that was some action to behold.
It is said that Doc is furious over Sephiroth Du Lac's actions and anybody who saw Collision knows what I mean here. Du Lac simply did nothing to help his team win that match and even just walked away when he had plenty of time to make a save. The Xtreme champion obviously doesn't care about his soon to be opponent, and it may not be a wise choice to make Doc angry, not with how he's been pumping out wins lately, but on the other side it's great to see Mmmmm and their mustaches on a roll here in NCW. They're looking like a tough team to beat.
Then I think the match that stole the show was the showdown between Tara Fenix and Zelda Knite. Fenix and Knite had the crowd worked into a frenzy as what might be a rare moment where the World champion was actually an underdog heading into a match. Tara Fenix proved last night why she was widely considered the best female wrestler in the world in other promotions.
The battle between Rob Diamond and Falcon was amazing, with all the odds stacked against him, Falcon never gave up. These two hate each other, these two want to kill each other and you could see it in their eyes. KLB tried to throw the match in Diamond's favor but in the end Nelly Angel comes to the aid of Falcon, counting his tag team partner's shoulders down for the three count. Things aren't looking up for the tag team champions right now as they are obviously not going to get along.
Then finally, Will Washington our gladiator and Nelly Angel gave us a wonderful showing between two top notch competitors, but what happened to WW after the match was over? Nobody has heard anything from him.
This wasn't one of our greatest shows ever, but it was a great display of what NCW is all about. 8.9
PREVIEW OF THIS WEEK
Last Week's Record :: 7-4 :: Wasn't great, but I'll take it right? Still more good than bad, and I fip flop from past few weeks, I did horrible on Trauma but good on Collision... weird.
Overall Record :: 41-22 :: I'm trying to get that up even higher, it isn't bad, but not where I want it to be.
Upset of the Week Record :: 2-3 :: What's this? I'm getting dangerously close to getting up to 50/50.... maybe it's not the kiss of death after all.
SATURDAY NIGHT TRAUMA
TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Jason Blair vs. Conejo Esponjoso vs. Jack Hammond
Hammond is a world champion, the other two are fresh faced rookies, I'm going to have to put my support behind the former champion for this week.
TAG TEAM MATCH
Philip Burns and Venom vs. Divine Intervention
Burns hasn't found a partner he couldn't win with yet. So why try and break that trend here?
SINGLES MATCH
Severe Payne vs. Ricky Johnson
Severe Payne has no championships in NCW to his name, Ricky Johnson has ever single one of them but one, I think I'll go with the proven commodity here.
MAIN EVENT: SINGLES MATCH
Tara Fenix vs. Cleopatra
After what I saw Fenix give Zelda, I don't think I'll be picking against her for a while.
SUNDAY NIGHT COLLISION
SINGLES MATCH
Charlie Velez vs. Doc
*With Sephiroth Du Lac on commentary
As much as I like Velez, and as much as I'm sure Seph will try and get involved I think Doc will overcome and find his way to victory.
TAG TEAM MATCH
Andrew Jacobsen and Alex Jones vs. Mike & Mike's Marvelous Mustache Monopoly
It's hard to bet against two great X-Division champions in duel AJ's, but Mmmmm, they are a cohesive unit bonded together by their love of all things stache, they will be hard to beat.
!!!UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
SINGLES MATCH
Curtis Kanyon vs. Sephiroth Du Lac
*With Doc on commentary
Kanyon's had a very rough few weeks, the passing of his brother, and he can't seem to be able to buy a victory. I think he snaps out of this funk and wins one for Chris.
SINGLES MATCH
Angel vs. Brad Kane
Brad Kane took some time off and he's back again, but Angel is a tough match to get right off the bat and he'll come out with a victory.
nCw TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Dominicus Republic* vs. InFamous
Call it a hunch, but I think DR officially implodes this week.
BATTLE OF THE CHAMPIONS MATCH (Non title)
Gib vs. Xavier Cross
Wow... what a tough match, I don't know... but I have to make a choice and I'll go with my big brother Gib. He's the World champion for a reason.
MAIN EVENT: INTERGENDER TAG TEAM MATCH
**** ***** and Ayla St. James vs. ***** *******and Zelda Knite
Hmph...... Ayla taking on Zelda in a singles match when they're going to be squaring off next week at ANTR? That's a weird choice for a match this week..... I think Zelda sweeps both matches.
All in all, it's shaping out to be a great show, we got some great matches leading in A Night to Remember.
THE FAB FIVE
5. Mmmmm :: Duel winners of the 5 spot, they beat Seph and Doc this week, impressive.
4. Jason Blair :: He's trying to make a name for himself here in NCW and this week he took a step in that direction.
3. Tommy Victor :: It looks like he'll be a name that winds up on this list a lot in his career.
2. Tara Fenix :: Who cares if she lost, that was a great performance.
1. Falcon :: With everything stacked against him and with so many emotions flowing through him, Falcon put that to the side and found a way to win.
WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
There is going to be so much to see this week I don't know where to start and I don't think I could do these cards justice by only pointing a few things, but I will do my best, just for you.
Make sure to watch the matches of Doc and Sephiroth, they will both be doing commentary for the other's match so you know it's going to be interesting. These two may not make it to A Night to Remember after the stunt Seph pulled on Collision.
Make sure you watch this Tommy Victor guy, he's going to be the future of NCW if he keeps this up, along with James Davis, both new comers who are quickly turning some heads.
Not to mention a certain somebody, but we have a sibling rivalry in the Collision main event. They shouldn't be in the ring at the same time, but who knows, it's going to be interesting either way.
THE KNITELINE
This week I'm debuting a new section to the Knitelife and if it catches on I'll continue to do it... The Kniteline, where I answer emails sent to me for my audience.

Hey, Kelly; I was wond'rin', whatcha go'na do bout this bad husband you got running around and picking fights with that Awesome fella. I hear that prick's been bangin you on the side and I'm all "Oh no, she'd never do that", but hey, people like to gossip, right? But anyway, what are you go'na do wit dat Adam guy? Sickin old Leo on him might set him straight, but look what that did to Zel...poor girl.
Just know you got us on your side of the fence, Kel.[/i]
Like I'm said earlier, I'm done mentioning those two.... but no, I am not having an affair and I never will. Despite what certain jerks from Denver might think.

Whats with all of the masks recently? Two for one special from South of the Border Wrestling?
NCW takes pride on being a wrestling promotion that appeals to all kinds of wrestlers around the world. We've head several wrestlers from overseas have success and I guess our southern neighbors want their chance now.
Sally Simpkins.

If you met Steve before you met Adam. What do you think would have happened?
I don't know..... but I'm assuming you want me to say I'd fall deeply in love with him? Maybe, who knows.
Jake Kane
Somewhere in England.
Let's be honest.....Steve's starting to creep you out isn't he? I know he's creeping me out. Stalkerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
The man is just confused and hurting, don't judge him so harshly.
Gib
New York
Kelly, what's this about your two favorite men being Steve and Adam? You broke my heart
You're my "Big Brother" Gib, I was talking about my love life. Sorry, you misunderstood, you wouldn't be my "big brother" if I didn't care about you.

I wonder what you think about the recent influx of wrestlers who came from that old defunt company? Do you think there is danger of it turning into one of those stupid invasion things?
I like it, I'm always happy to see greats from somewhere else make the jump into NCW to test the waters. They have not disappointed thus far either... and NO, there will never be an invasion... ever.

Kelly, I've been watching and trying to make sense of all this going on. All I know is that it's a cryin' shame we got a nice girl like you, 'bout to be a mama, stuck in between someone who's too good-intentioned NOT to seem like a psycho and a husband who doesn't seem to really care 'bout you. Damn shame.
Anyhow, just wanted to know what you were plannin' on namin' the little one. If you don't wanna tell, that's fine. Just askin'.
Thanks for understand where I'm coming from, it always helps it hear that somebody feels your pain. It's going to be surprise what me and what's his face's child's name is going to be, sorry.
Xavier Cross
"(Forced)Co-Captain of Team Awesome/Trapped helping Steve move."
(Somewhere in Steve's new condo)
"Okay...So I know things are ridiculous right now. You got a family, a bun in the oven, and Steve getting his crazy on. But Kelly, he looked me in the face and said these words, 'The way you cared about Cari, thats how I feel about Kelly.' I'm not exactly sure Steve is off his rocker. I know you got your plan set up, and your family going the right direction. But maybe there is a reason Steve is doing this. I'm not saying you should up and leave Adam...But something has to give in this situation or Adam and Steve are going to destroy each other. Oh....named the Baby after yours truely, since obviously you love Xavier Cross more than Gib, Steve, and Adam combined. Fact."
I wish I could make them stop, I've been trying to put an end to this but it seems the more I get in between them the more they want to rip each other to shreds, I don't know what to do anymore, and yes Cross... I love you oh so much.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
I'm sick of these "Team Adam" and "Team Steve" shirts that have found their way into the arena for the shows. And I'm not mentioning the men, I'm mentioning the shirts, therefore I haven't broken my promise, so ha.
This Double Lord Dominici relationship is about to explode in our faces, Chris Diamond forced them together and after Collision the situation is hitting it's boiling point, I just don't see how they're going to be able to exist as a team on Collision, espcially not with Rob Diamond's partners as their opponents.
Have I mentioned how awesome the staches on Mike and Mike are? They're like a Da Vinci paintings of our era.
Well that's all I have for this week, we got some great shows this week NCW fans so don't miss out, as usual until next time.....
