OPENING
I don't know where to start, I feel terrible right now. Like I just stabbed the greatest person in my life in the back... because that's basically what I did. I'm sorry.. it was an accident. I'm ashamed and hurt, and confused, but I'll carry on. I have a Knitelife to write and you fans deserve one after that great show.
It was a night of firsts, four men walked out of Reborn as first time NCW champions. Freakke started off the show in what has to bet he upset of the year so far, and I really don't see anybody topping that anytime soon. He's the new X-Division champion and word in the back is that he couldn't be happier right now. Tommy Victor in what was slightly a hair under Freakke's upset came out and dethroned Doc for the Xtreme title soon afterwards and it was official, this was going to be a great night for wrestlers to lose their championship virginities. The title changes continued, and Will Washington along with not only an NCW championship virgin but an NCW match virgin, Ian Kline, won the tag team championship. I believe it's the second time in NCW history that somebody won a championship in their first NCW mtach. Dr. Pepper at the very first NCW Road to the Gold pay per view being the first.
So yes it was a fantastic show, thanks to everybody who tuned in and order the show and thanks for all the great feedback so far, it's greatly apperciated.
Last week out poll was over which match had the most interesting storyline going into Reborn and with an dominate victory it was the main event. Which, I know that it's over me... but it was the right choice, and I think I just accidentaly added a lot more fire to that too... sadly. I don't think this rivalry is ever going to end at this rate.
Now this week, we're going to see what you fans think the biggest moment coming out of Reborn was. Was it Brad Kane finally winning the NCW title after working for this company for so long, or maybe it was Freakke.. the lovable evil clown who has never given up and has an NCW championship as a reward for all his hard work, maybe you think it was Seth Evans triumphing over Chris Diamond? Let your voice be heard fans.
PAY PER VIEW REVIEW
Before we break this show down into the individual matches, let me just begin by saying that every match on this show was just so good. You could see the hard work, the effort that everybody was putting into winning their matches but sadly only one person can win and in a lot of cases it was by just a hair or lucky break.
Nobody should be ashamed of losing on this show, it was spectacular.
Drake Tyson vs. Keybo Shabaz
Hey, leave it to my dad to completely screw somebody over. Shabaz was fighting the good fight and was defending two people's rights... so of course he was going to get screwed. horrible match.
Alex Jones vs. Evil Freakke vs. Shawn Styles vs. Stefan Rzany
It was a great match... Freakke.. Evil Freakke.. whatever had all the odds stacked against him it seemed. A former world champion, Alex Jones an X-Division icon, and it was a gauntlet match. He overcame it all and he won the belt for his first NCW championship. Proud of that guy.
JFK vs. DDK
Not even JFK could overcome the power of DDK's "sack". It was a good match between these two that was pretty close there for a while, in the end it was DDK that just keeps on winning.
Doc* vs. Tommy Victor
I didn't see this coming at all. Doc has seemingly hit a rough patch since he loss to Falcon, the once invincible Xtreme champion has fallen to Tommy Victor. I don't know if it was a great showing of stepping up from Victor or a Doc egg laying, but either way we have a new Xtreme champion.
Sephiroth Du Lac vs. Gabriel Karras vs. Tempestad
Gabriel Karras threw himself in the middle of this war between Tempestad and Sephiroth... I thought he was crazy, but now maybe he's right? Maybe Tempestad should listen to him after this victory.
Falcon and Philip Burns* vs. Will Washington and Ian Kline
These tag team title belts have been fiercely contended for, for a while now and this just showed why. Burns and Falcon looked like an unstoppable team, however Washington found a gem in that tournament he put on because Ian Kline was not intimidated by those two at all, which is the main reason they were able to pick up the victory.
Seth Evans vs. Chris Diamond
It was a match that could of possibly stolen the show, these two men tore each other apart... literally... Diamond will be on the shelf for a while. Fantastic match, congratulations to Seth Evans.
Zelda Knite* vs. Emma Danielson
The most heartbreaking match of the night. Emma had been working so hard to not only get this chance but to win that belt, but in the end like all who've come before her she met the Zelda buzzsaw. One of, if not the best match of the night.
Xavier Cross vs. Charlie Velez*
Really disappointed in Cross here... he maybe aligned with Steve but he's a good guy at heart and everybody thought he would step up like he did when he took Ace's National title away, however.... Velez was just way too good on this night.
Angel* vs. Steve Awesome vs. Adam Knite vs. Brad Kane
I don't want to even talk about this.... but I will. Congratulations to Brad Kane first off... there wasn't anybody who deserved it more. Secondly, good job to everybody in this match.... it was a match type we've never seen before and I think these four were perfect to showcase it, the competitors gave it their all and it could of went either way, however it was Kane who steps away with the belt and I've got to say.... I'm not upset about that.
Well there you have it, my individual breakdowns. Again I'll say it was a show that will be hard to forget for a very long time. We had great moments with wrestlers winning their first gold, and we had a man who finally overcame it all and won the world title. This doesnt' even include the great matches that went down to the wire like the Emma versus Zelda match or the Seth Evans versus Chris Diamond match.
Overall it's going to be hard to top this show for a long time... I give it an easy 9.8 . Yeah that's right.... it was that good.
PREVIEW OF THIS WEEK
Last Week's Record :: 7-6 :: You know... just when I was doing great... one match away from a perfect showing last week and now this week.... ugh!
Overall Record :: 88-48 :: Forty more writes than wrongs, I guess I can afford a bad week every now and then.
Upset of the Week Record :: 6-6 :: And right back at 500 with a great job this week on picking the upset.
Saturday Night Trauma
Singles Match
DDK vs. Destructor!
DDK has been rolling lately, it must be the power of his sack, the kid won't be able to overcome that.
Non Title Singles Match
Freakke vs. Tommy Victor
Freakke and Victor both are fresh of title wins, but it's Freakke who had the more impressive showing, he'll carry that momentum to a win.
Singles Match
Tara Fenix vs. Maria Williams
Really? Come on... Williams is more likely to trip over a ring mat and be out of action for three months than she is to be a threat to Tara Fenix.
Main Event: Xtreme Rules
Gabriel Karras vs. Tempestad
Karras is going to show Tempestad that he should of listened to him, the master will win.
Sunday Night Collision
!!!UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
Singles Match
Rayne vs. Zelda Knite
Shock.... Awe.... Z's first singles loss? I'm predicting it despite my better judgement. All streaks have to come to an end.
Singles Match
Seth Evans vs. Alex Jones
Fresh off that victory over Chris Diamond... do you really see him losing?
Non Title Tag Team Match
Will Washington and Ian Kline vs. Motor City Mafia
These two are the tag team champions, but they haven't been a team long. MCM has a distinct advantage but I think in the end WashingKline will get this victory to show they are legit.
Singles Match
Philip Burns vs. JFK
They are both fresh off tough loses. It'll be a matter of who wants it more, and I think Burns does.
Singles Match
Rob Diamond vs. Andrew Jacobsen
Jacobsen has done it before, and he'll do it again, he's the Rob Diamond killer.
Singles Match
Falcon vs. Sephiroth Du Lac
Falcon is a former world champion, he knows how to rebound after loses. Sephiroth will give him an intense fight but in the end it will be Falcon.
Main Event: Non Title Singles Match
Brad Kane vs. Charlie Velez
He just won the world title, I can't pick against him in his first match since doing so.
THE FAB FIVE
5. Zelda Knite :: Gotta wonder if she'll ever lose that belt.
4. Charlie Velez :: Many thought that Xavier Cross was going to step up his game and take back his title, but Velez made sure that wasn't happening.
3. Seth Evans :: He defeated "Maniac" and put him on the shelf, very impressive.
2. Freakke :: He overcame a lot in that gauntlet match to win that belt, you've gotta give the boy his credit.
1. Brad Kane :: He's finally at the top of the mountain, he's finally NCW world champion, nothing to hate on here.
WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
With a card like this, coming off a pay per view like that, there is going to be a lot to watch. We have some great champion versus champion matches, we have the women's champion in action and we even get to see the return of Xavier Williams! A lot to keep an eye on this week.
Firstly, make sure you watch this Tempestad and Gabriel Karras match, there is going to be a lot of emotions here. Karras is trying to show Tempestad the way, but will he listen?
Then we have Freakke fresh of his X-Division win and his upset of Joe Everyman before that. He comes right back with a big test against the Xtreme champion. you should keep an eye on this kid I tell you, he's going to be regarded as the best clown themed wrestler ever very soon.
Finally, make sure to tune in to see a great match between Brad Kane and Charlie Velez, it's the National champion squaring off with the World champion, there is nothing but good things that are going to come from this match.
THE KNITELINE
Ashley Stevens, Chicago, Illinois
I know everybody here in the nCw hates the Young Guns, but from one female to another you have to admit they are some hunks! My personal favorite is Doc, he's such a dreamboat! I guess my question is, all attitudes aside, which Young Gun is the cutest and most likely to win the World Championship?
I believe they are all married men and I'm a married woman, so I'm not going to answer who the hunkiest is, but I will say Venom is probably the most likely to win the World title.
Ryan, West Palm Beach, Florida
Kelly, I can't believe what I'm hearing from Zelda Knite.... I just want you to know that myself and my buddies are huge Adam Knite fans and we thought you were cool too. But if what Zelda is saying is true, then you deserve to let Zelda personally plant you with the GAME OVER! That ain't right woman... That just ain't right.
And since this has to be in the form of a question.... Is it true? Honest answer please, no lies....
It's not true. I hate Steve, I hate living with him, I hate being forced to watch him as he pampers himself in a mirror for hours on end. I will never side with him, I'll always be Adam's, nothing will change that. Zelda is just a confused kid who lets her emotions get the best of her too much.
Chris, Glasgow
Hey Kelly, there has recently been a fan poll to name an upcoming PPV. I was curious if you had any input on what should win and if you had your own Pay Per View to name what would you call it?
Well I really liked "Awakening", but I have no say in it at all. As an NCW employee I'm not allowed to vote, but if I had a choice I'd probably go with that. In an interesting note... I named "Picture Perfect" the upcoming PPV.
Dave T. Z. K-Town, PA
Kelly, if you could take any two or three nCw stars and put them in stable or team them up, what would be some of the better ones you could think of? Whats your epic dream team
Hmm, if I could make a stable right now, I'd have to team up Joe Everyman, Steve Awesome, and Xavier Williams and call them AwesomemanX. My dream team would be Adam Knite, Brad Kane, Falcon, and Gib.
Megan; Boston, MA
Hi Kelly, it's Megan again. Sorry to bother you but I was wondering if you'd like to make out with me sometime?
For the last time.... no. I don't swing that way. Well there was that one... that's not important.
Kevin H.; Cuttersville, Ohio
"This feud between Steve and Adam has been going on for months at such an intense level and it needs to come to an end. In the history of wrestling, feuds like these always culminate in a bloody finale....So my question to you, is what kind of match do you think could help them properly end this once and for all?"
I have no idea what could possibly end this battle between them, if I had a guess I'd probably have to say an Iron Man match.
Patty O'Furniture; Dublin, Ireland
My question is this, Kelly. Even though you enjoy picking on Joe Everyman so much, if you had to pick a tag team partner for him that he could have a run at the tag team championship with, who would it be and why? And please, give a serious answer to the nCw fans.
I'd team him up with Adam so they could form EveryKnite. Adam is a four time tag team champion if anybody could carry Joe's worthless but to a win, it's him.
Geena Franklin; Richmond, Virginia
You know, I used to be a huge Kelly Knite fan. I felt bad the way Steve has been treating you but now....after the crap I just saw you pull last night on Reborn...it's despicable. I see you in a brand new light Kelly. How could you cost your own husband the match? Maybe there really is more to your relationship with Steve then you let on.....after seeing what I just seen...I wouldn't doubt it.
Signed.
EX-Knitelife Fan, Geena Franklin.
For the love of... I DIDN'T DO IT ON PURPOSE! I was trying to stop Steve! I love Adam, I would never do anything to hurt him.... I feel bad enough about it as it is. I swear... it wasn't intentional.
MY CLOSING THOUGHTS
I promise all you NCW, Adam Knite, Kelly fans... I didn't turn on him. It wasn't intentional and I've been crying over it ever sense. Please believe me.
Brad Kane winning the world title just feels right. He was on the first ever NCW show, he was in the first ever NCW main event. This man deserved that belt and he finally earned it. I may have been personally invested in Adam, but I'm proud to say BK is NCW champion and I'm glad Steve didn't win.
Backstage there are talks that Emma Danielson is so upset with her loss that she is thinking about hanging up her boots early. I think I can safely speak for all of NCW and say good riddance.... joking joking... sorry... I try my hand at comedy sometimes. Seriously though, that would be a big mistake and a hard blow to all the Emma fans out there, she'd be hard to replace.
There has been word traveling around that Spike Kane may be returning to NCW soon, well sorry NCW fans, but as it turns out... it isn't happening. There were indeed some contract talks, but in the end both sides stepped away from the table. A source... my dad.. tells me that negotiations stalled over the signing amount and both sides were just unwilling to budge on their stance.
Despite any rumors you hear.. NCW headquarters is totally wheelchair accessible.
Until next time...
