Something came to my mind as I was laying down, staring at the blank ceiling above me… Could I beat Ayla? Our short history wasn’t exactly the greatest. Some people may believe that I’ve forgotten; but I remember that she was the one who cost me one of my matches - she was the reason that I lost to Cleopatra. I told her that I would have my revenge… Collision would be my chance. Failure will not be an option.
*There seemed to be some noise coming from outside, on the balcony… Tara quickly turned her head to see what was going on, and as the camera followed her gaze to see what, or who was out there, it was revealed to be the former World Champion. He was standing, just looking out to the emptiness. The camera turned and focused back on Tara, who rolled over and crawled just to the edge of the bed before placing her feet onto the carpet.*
The more that I thought about it, the more that I couldn’t help but feel that if I had a chance to get my hands on Alex… I’d kill him. For everything that he’s done, I’d kill him. I quietly laughed to myself, momentarily, thinking about how Angel would be mad at me if I got to Alex before he did… the laugh that escaped me seemed to cause Angel to stir… I could hear the low creak of the balcony from him turning his head to look over his shoulder, and at the same time, I looked over my shoulder and stared at him. Just seeing him, I couldn’t keep myself from showing him a smile.
Angel:
“I didn’t know you were awake.”
He seemed to walk slowly back into the room, sliding the door to close it after he had walked back in.
Tara:
“Yeah… What were you doing out there?
He sat on the other edge of the bed, and seemed to be in a bit of a slump… but the heavy breathing told me that one thing was on his mind. It’s what was always on his mind, so it’s not like I needed him to tell me.
Angel:
“Just thinking.”
I nodded my head, although his back was to me… very slowly, I crawled across to the opposite side of the bed, and wrapped my arms around him to hold onto him. I kissed him just under the ear before saying anything more to him.
Tara:
“You’re going to always have me.”
By those words, I could feel the smile that he was finally able to manage to put on his face. It only lasted for a moment, but it was still enough for me… I kept both arms around him for a few more seconds, and then finally let one of my hands run through his hair, brushing it lightly to one side.
Tara:
“I’ll do anything to make sure you get Hayleigh back.”
I whispered those words into his ear, which seemed to make him smile. He finally laid down onto the bed, fully, with my arms still wrapped around him and his fingertips gliding through my hair. I kept him held as close to me as I could.
*Scene fades.*

Why did all of this suddenly have to happen? The moment that everything in his life goes right… they had to take it away. Them hurting Angel has, in turn, hurt me. Angel and I would have our chance to show the world how, when we’re together, we’re unstoppable - undefeated, as a team. Undefeated, together.
A few seconds after sitting here, just thinking about this match… the chance that I finally had to show the world what I’m used to… I finally looked up towards the camera that was in front of me. I couldn’t even begin to smile, with everything that was on my mind.
“Ever since all of this bull**** began between Alex Jones and Angel, there was something that I was trying to understand… from the very beginning… I was trying to fully understand just how Angel felt. The truth is that I may never know what he’s feeling, because the fact is that I have never had my child ripped out of my life… I have never had to endure the pain of hearing my son calling someone else their mother. The truth is; I don’t know.”
Unable to know what he was going through… Something that, while I did want to understand, I didn’t want to go through. I folded my arms on top of the table, and my eyes shifted down towards the oak for a few seconds. The words escaped from me, still, while my eyes were still down.
“It doesn’t change anything from me, though…”
I lifted my eyes, and my voice became a little more stern. Every word I spoke, I meant.
“Whatever Angel needs from me, I’m willing to give it to him to make sure he’s happy. This is what you don’t get about me, Ayla… And it may be my fault for why you don’t get it about me, but I’m not here to wait. I’m not waiting for people to bring me what I feel I deserve, I’m going out there and I’m earning what I have. And earning what I’ll get. I wouldn’t accept it if it were just handed to me.
I never have.
I never will.
Throughout my career, I have earned everything that I got. However, I’ve also been robbed of things that I have earned; that’s how you got… the bitter me. The one that wouldn’t care about hurting you in the ring, and would do something more - I would go out to that ring, and not leave until you were hurt! That’s what happened to Cleopatra. When she robbed me of my initial victory over her, I sought retribution. Because she robbed me of what I deserved, I became bitter… and I went out to that ring with the intent of hurting her. I did.”
Even to my surprise, I couldn’t smile at this fond memory. Remembering how she and Ayla had robbed me of a victory that was to be mine, I still felt… remorse… for them, for what they were going through.
“I remember that look on your face, Ayla… when you watched me lash her, ten… times. And there was absolutely nothing that you could do about it. You had to accept it.”
Through the remorse that I felt for her, I did have that feeling at the bottom of my stomach. Seeking revenge. A chance that I haven’t had since she did what she did. I balled my hand into a fist, and pressed it against the table; while I was wronged, I would not return it in that manner… I wanted my revenge on Ayla in one fashion, and that was by beating her.
“When you helped her rob me of my victory, I told you that I would have revenge on you, too. I don’t want you to think that I’ve forgotten, but Ayla, I can be forgiving… I want to be able to forgive you for your actions, but… I can’t. Not until we get into that ring, and you show me everything that you’re made of - and when that final bell sounds, whether Angel and I walk out as the winners… or the losers… I just want two things.
I’m positive that Adam Knite will give us this honor.
But a clean match… If you try to cheat, I will call you out on it. So… the first thing that I want, is an honorable match. The second thing that I want, Ayla, is for you to give it your all.
Just like Maria, last week, I have no problem believing that you could do just that… I mean, let’s think about this a moment, you were the former number one contender for the Women’s World Championship. A belt that I’m after, and a belt that I won’t stop going after, until I have it. It should be me that has to go out to that ring and give it my all… for me to impress you. I know, Ayla, you shouldn’t have to impress me. It’s me that needs to impress you.”
Those words struggled to leave me. Impressing someone else? Having to impress someone else? But what choice did I have… I’ve only just broken even. With all those losses, I’ve still gone out there and given it my all, and it has gotten some eyes onto me.
“I’ve never disappointed.”
I never will.
“While… I believe I can handle Ayla. I can also handle Adam. There’s one thing that really stood out to me when I heard about this match: Intergender. The chance for me to step into that ring… how I’m used to doing things. Against someone bigger than me. I know that people don’t like to hear about the past, and I really don’t like to talk about it; but we will have a short time… I will have a short time… to relive it.
The Knite Family.
It seems to be the most dominant name in recent history of the industry. The most dominant name in New Championship Wrestling… Zelda Knite, the first and only holder of the NCW Women’s World Championship. Winning the belt back in January… and still holding it. Not the one I’ll be in a match against, though… Adam Knite. One of the longest reigning World Champions in NCW history… an even bigger name in the tag team division than The Brothers Holland.
Interesting name, though. Knite. I’ve said that I have no problem believing that you will give Angel and I the honor of a legit match, and it’s this reason - your name - that I have no problem believing it… Because a knight is noble. Honorable. An elite.
You, Adam… are the best of the best.
There’s no denying it.
This is an all-star match.
The only thing that I have left to say to both of you: Good luck. But in my heart, I know that there’s something about this match, like every other match; I need this win. I need to show the world that I’m ready to step back into that ring with another Knite - and I’m ready to walk out with her belt. I need to show the world, and show all of you, that I’m still capable of getting in that ring… and being the absolute best.”
I reached my hand forward, and flicked the power button on the camera for it to quickly cut off.
