OPENING
Here we are again fans, it's that time again, time for another exciting, thrilling, amazing NCW pay per view extravaganza. This time of the year is all about the NCW fans, you guys. We have that amazing anniversary show, then always soon after we have the viewers choice pay per view, that will feature a theme and motif that you fans voted on and will this year feature the gimmick match of your choice, the Assault X. Should make for one hell of a exciting show. I for one, can't wait.
Now, to start off this column this week, it's your weekly update on the Adam, Steve and Me love triangle. Yes I made the match, yes I put my marriage on the line. Listen to me though, this isn't because I want to be away from Adam, this isn't some kind of stupid game. I did it mainly because I can't stand being around Steve and being under his control anymore, but also because I know despite how much he denies it... Adam can't stand knowing Steve got he one up on him at A Night to Remember and it would haunt him the rest of his life. He tries to say he's ok with just waiting out this sentence, but I just know that he wants his revenge and this is the only way he can get it. He'll win... trust me.
Last week's poll was tight, so tight there was a tie and I for one don't understand how you people could vote on a Joe Everyman match.. but you did. Well, ok... I can't rag on Joe forever. He had a great match, against a great opponent and come up with a great win. It was an awesome moment that'll no doubt be on everybody's minds for a good long time to come. It was one of those matches that just felt right. It tied with the equally amazing first world champion versus first women's world champion match, which of course was my personal favorite, but I'm a bit bias. Either way, two great choices, kudos on that.
This week's poll is going to be the typical one, you know it's coming because it's the same poll I do for every NCW pay per view. What match are you the most excited for. I've got to say there are some amazing choices this week too. Rob Diamond and Falcon in a submission match, Angel and Alex Jones in a match with Angel's career on the line and of course our Main Event triple cage match. This is going to be a tough choice I can see that already. Have fun voting.
Anyway, we got some great stuff to go over this week, so I'm going to get right to it here. I hope you enjoy the rest of this column.
REVIEW OF LAST WEEK
Wow, I totally didn't expect the shows to be this good going into a pay per view weekend, but they certainly proved me wrong. There was excitement there were twists and there were last second surprises. A lot to really jam into one week, but in the end it came out well and we gave the fans some good shows I believe.
Trauma again proves that it wants to stand up to it's older brother Collision with a rock solid show that highlighted some of NCW's best wrestlers. Steve Awesome and Rob Diamond squaring off in the main event, a huge six person tag match before that? It was a great night of wrestling fans and I feel sorry for you if you missed it. The six person tag match was awesome and I of course loved the ending with Adam pinning Du Lac and Zelda come running to Ayla's rescue. That little girl has a heart of gold, I probably would of just watched Ayla get beat up, but I'm bitter like that. The main event was so intense that Rob and Steve just couldn't take their attention away from beating the hell out of each other long enough to slide back in the ring and thusly both were counted out. All around it was an amazing show to see.... Trauma proves every week that it's no “Bshow”.
Then of course where would we be without Collision. DDK and Joe Everyman just keep on winning, it seems like nothing can slow these two down other than their selves at the moment. They beat the former Tag Team Champions “Hot Wings” and did so in an impressive fashion I must say. Then we had the Young Guns capturing tag team title gold for the what appears to be now desbanded tag team of iWash, which is a great moment for them, congrats guys. Finally the show ends with Xavier Cross and Angel fighting each other in what I'm going to call the match of the night. Those two were wrestling for nothing other than a victory and it showed.... they both had too much pride to bow to the other but it was Angel who managed to sneak out of Collision with the victory before his big match up against Alex Jones where his career could come to an end.
Overall, like I said, I was pleasantly surprise with how awesome things turned out. Coming off a three year anniversary show and heading into a pay per view I was expecting people to be taking it easy and for things to just be nice, but instead I was almost knocked out of my seat from how great things went. Good job everybody.
PREVIEW OF THIS WEEK
LAST WEEK'S RECORD:: 8-5 :: Wasn't great, but wasn't terrible I guess. I'm really trying to extend this winning percentage of mine, but it just isn't working that well.
OVERALL RECORD:: 144-89 :: It's still a 62% percentage on correct predictions but I know I can do better, just have to keep trying here.
UPSET OF THE WEEK RECORD:: 7-13 :: It's a curse... that's the only logical explanation for getting six wrong in a row. The kiss of death is my upset of the week predictions.
WIRED:
Handicap Match
Lance Ryan vs. Magically Delicious
- Seriously? Who books these idiotic matches anyway? Lance wins easily against the clown idiots.
Triple Threat Match
Justin Reynolds vs. Mason St. Croix vs. Red Dragon
- It takes a lot of balls to come out and declared yourself “Mr. NCW” before ever wrestling a match but I've seen Red Dragon wrestle and he's good.
Handicap Match:
Executioner and Abel vs. Destructor!
- I have to go against Destructor here... It pains me to say it but I just don't think he overcomes this match.
Six Woman Tag Match
Cleopatra, Malice, and Maria de la Rosa vs. Ashlie Ember, Ayla St. James, and Emma Danielson
- I may regret this but I'm going against the Twilight Girls here and going with Ember, James, and Denielson. Just call it a feeling.
Tag Team Match
Evan Andrews and Joe Ragnal vs. Xavier Cross and Xavier Williams
- This is a tough one to call here, Andrews and Rags are both great wrestlers. However I have to go with the former world champion and the man who currently holds a world title shot.
Honor Title
Stefan Rzany* vs. Gabriel Karras
- I'm going to stick with the champion here despite the fact I really want to see Karras walk away with that title.
ASCENSION:
nCw Womens World Championship Match
Zelda Knite* vs. Tara Fenix
- I've been burned voting against Zelda before, so I'm not going to do it here. Tara Fenix is a great wrestler but Zelda hasn't come this far by rolling over.
Unsanctioned Match
Angel vs. Alex Jones
- Angel just has too much to fight for, his daughter, his career... basically his existence. That is too much for Alex to counteract.
Six Man Tag Team Match:
Ron Gibson and Young Guns(Doc and Venom)* vs. Andrew Jacobsen and The Brothers Holland
- On one hand the Young Guns just captured the gold and should be on a good roll right now, but on the other... it's the freakin Hollands. I'm going to go with the AJ and Hollands team... just by a hair.
Camelot Pit Fight
Xtreme Title vs. Tempestad's Mask
Sephiroth du Lac* vs. Tempestad
- And the winner for stupidest match ever goes to Temprature and Sephiroth for this burning cage match thing. I don't know who's going to win, but I know who loses... the fans for having to endure this clustereff of a match. I'll go with Du Lac for the win though.
nCw X-Division Championship
Assault X Match
Freakke* vs. Seth Evans vs. JFK
- Freakke has been rolling... I think he picks up this victory here and retains the belt, however both JFK and Seth Evans are very dangerous it could turn quickly.
Falls Count Anywhere Match
Will Washington vs Ian Kline
- I can't vote against the man who saved my life once. Will Washington for the win.
nCw National Championship
Charlie Velez* vs. Reckless Jack
- I'd love to pick Jack here, but I think Velez is on too much of a hot streak with that title right now. He's been tearing through everybody who challenges him.
!!!UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
Submission Match
Falcon vs. Rob Diamond
- Rob Diamond finally does it here, he gets the respect and huge win he's been looking for. What will he do with it? I don't know, but lets hope it doesn't go to his head.
60 Minute Ironman Match
Steve Awesome vs. Adam Knite
- He won't lose me.
nCw World Championship
Triple Cage Match
Philip Burns* vs. DDK
- The toughest match of the night, but I think Burns really wants that title back, he got to hold it for about thirty seconds before and now wants to feel that gold between his fingers, he'll have to survive a good “BANG!ing” from DDK though and climb a triple cage.
THE FAB FIVE
5. Adam Knite :: He pinned the Xtreme champion and won the match for his time while saving both women from the vampire, my man earned this.
4. Cleopatra :: Ashlie had been on a roll recently with three straight wins but Cleopatra frustrated her so much she got Ember to DQ herself. Not bad.
3. Freakke :: The clown is on fire right now. Wins the X-Division title, then beats JFK...gotta give it to him.
2. DDK :: Going into the huge triple cage match he managed to pin the champion. Could be a huge confidence boost going into the pay per view.
1. Angel :: Cross recently earned himself a world title shot and the next week Angel beats him... impressive display from him.
WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
1:: Alex Jones taking on Angel in this unsanctioned street fight. I don't know about anybody else, but this match could be my pick as the show stealer. Angel's career will be on the line, so it maybe the last time you see Angel in an NCW ring, you'll want to keep an eye on it for that reason alone.
2:: Freakke. Clown boy has been fantastic lately. He got what was considered an upset victory against Seth Evans and won his X-Division title back and now he beat JFK. He'll have to take on both men at once now, but I think he can handle it.
3:: The Brothers Holland are back in an NCW ring.... full time! Not just showing up at the three year show but back in NCW and ready to rock this place off its foundation. I've been waiting to say this for a very long time, I was beginning to think the day would never come... THE HOLLANDS ARE BACK!
4:: Like I wasn't going to mention NCW's first ever Ironman match? It's all coming to an end, the feud that everybody has been talking about for the past six months will all come down to this. 60 minutes and only one man can survive. You don't want to miss this, you don't want to regret not seeing this as it happened... it's going to be amazing and Adam is going to win.
THE KNITELINE
Concerned Seth Evans' fan; Canada
"Hey Kelly, I'm just wondering with Seth Evans and Freakke now tied at one win each, and a poll early in July promising a Assult X match at a Ascension, will we see these two go at it one final time for X-Division gold in perhaps the ultimate X-Division match?"
- Wow Concerned Seth Evans fan... maybe I should get you to do my predictions every week, I might have a better record that way. Nice guesses.
Xavier Cross, generic Hotel Room.
"Kelly. I could have easily just texted you this, however I do love the article, so why not add a little extra star power. Right now I have the power to challenge for the World Title whenever I want. Now I've looked at some history, Steve has done it, and Adam has done it. I couldn't get it done against Falcon last time. SO....My question for the Knitelife forum this week is: When I challenge for the World Title, whether it be Phillip J Burns, or whoever else, would you manage me? Oh yeah....when you going to invite me for an interview for the Knitelife? I mean we play board games all the time in the back yet you can't even ask me a few questions and give me a spot in your article....That hurts Kelly, I thought I was your favorite Front Office member, since you know...i bring the funk."
- You are my favorite Front Office member and I guess if you want me to stand there at ringside and cheer you on I can, but I'll most likely be at the announce table anyway, so I'll be there supporting you not that far off regardless X.
Gabriel Jones, Toronto, Canada
Hey Kelly, just out of curiosity, what was some of your favorite theme music from nCw past?
- I'll just name three of my favorites. Steve's "Don't Stop" by InnerPartySystem was really cool. I loved Davey Ortega's "Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva... it really fit him and finally Trent's remix of the Rocket Man that he used was pretty awesome and fitting. Honorable mention would have to be Adam Knite's "Trade Yourself In" by Shinedown, it was catchy and I didn't list it because I talk about him too much as it is.

Okay Kelly let me ask you something real quick. Zelda's got two guys courting her right? Well in your professional opinion, who do you think would make a better lover? Falcon Or Jacobsen?
- Who do I think would be a better lover, or who do I think would make a better lover for Zelda? I guess I'll answer both... I could handle Falcon's whining or the way he talks in riddles half the time it seems without just coming out and saying what he means, I'd obviously pick the young Jacbosen who seems like a grounded kid with a good attitude. For Zelda.. I think Falcon makes a good counter for her over the top emotions, he keeps her tethered to the Earth and he treats her like a princess, he's good for her. I still think Jacobsen is more like a sidekick to her goofyness where Falcon is her straight man.
Kevin Duchovny; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
Do you think Philip Burns will ever get the respect he deserves eh? For years people said he was carried by Angel, and then just as soon as he proves them wrong and wins the World Title, it gets stolen and he's disrepected yet again. What do you think aboot this?
- I hope he does, he's been working really hard to improve his game even after winning the world title. Eventually people will take notice.
Derek; Portland, Oregon
Hi Kelly! With three great years of action having just passed, what do you think nCw has learned as a family since its creation, and where do you think it will evolve in the three to come?
- Dude I don't know what you thought you were reading... but this is the Knitelife we don't get into all kinds of deep discussion like that on here. Fine, I'll try and answer. I think we've learned how to come together over the years. We've had a lot of companies rise up to try and top us, or overtake us but every time they did and tried their little talent raids our guys would stand up and come together. I just hope we have more of that for the next three years.
Alicia, from Vegas
Kelly what do you think of the Dead Girls attacking anyone in the Women's Division? Are you afraid they'll come after you even though you are on the announce team now?
- HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA... That's rich. Come after me? If they know what's good for them they won't. They'd have to change their names to the "Brain Dead Girls" for even thinking about it. Now seriously, why would I be afraid of a bunch of Twilight fans? If they even tried to attack me I'd kick the **** out of all of them and then have my daddy fire them. Yeah... I'm so scared here.
MY CLOSING THOUGHTS
~ So really.... are these “Twilight Gals” relaly that stupid? They claim their mission is to destroy Zelda... yet they seemed completely unprepared for her when she stepped up and took them on? Did they think she was just going to roll over for them?
~ Joe Everyman was held off this week's show because of some swelling in his knee. That's a shame since he was doing so great, but I'd rather he take some time off and rest than to really hurt himself trying to do too much.
~ I don't know about all of you, but I'm rooting for Angel because I don't want to see him leave NCW. He's been a big part of NCW's success over the years.
~ Ok... a Camelot Pit Match? Let me ask you something... what does a burning cage filled with plenty of barbwire have anything to do with Camelot? Maybe I should of reread my history books where Arthur hit Lancelot over the head with a flaming steel chair. Idiots. I'd of just ripped the match off the books if I were still in charge of this company.
~ Lance Ryan is officially back in NCW now. I'm so excited... he signed his brand new contract before Collision.
~ A triple cage match!? Are you kidding me!? I haven't seen one of those since the legendary wrestler David Arquette was winning World titles. If DDK and Burns can give us half as entertaining as a match as DA did... then this pay per view is golden!
~ I fully expect Brad Kane and Charlie Velez to tear the roof off this building. They have grown a large hatred for each other in a short time.
~ Finally let me just say... I love Adam. I know he can win... and we'll never be apart ever again once he beats Steve.
In closing everybody I hope you enjoyed this column, I hope you enjoyed the shows last week and I especially hope you order and love Ascension. This is the viewers choice show, so it's all about what you wanted to see. Lets make it another great one and have a blast.
Until next time....
