Thoughts?
I liked it. I mean, I like pretty much anything ECW. Only the last two matches felt like genuine classic ECW, a lot of the old guys were out of shape, but it was still a fun PPV. Glad I didn't spend money on it though, because nothing really eventful. Too Cold Scorpio can still move around as good as he used to, if not better, which probably amazed me most. In a perfect world, they'd have their pick of any old school ECWers and Joey would have been calling it, but for what they had and having to pull a new main event out of their ass at the last minute, I think it turned out pretty good.

I havent seen it....but I read alot of reviews and from what I read.....this ppv sucked.
A bunch of old washed up guys getting in the ring and hitting each other over the head with various objects. No luchadores no straight wrestling from like Lance Storm. And they couldnt even say the word ECW or anything that revolved around it. The only people who actually got to use there original names were like RVD, Dreamer, Sabu, Raven and Sandman. Raven vs Dreamer was probably alright and the 4:20 Throwdown between RVD and Sabu might have been good but other then that.....bad.
I dont even understand why they keep insisting on reviving ECW anymore. If your a wrestling fan these days odds are the only thing you really know about ECW is the hour long show on SCI-FY.
The original One Night Stand did it. The one Paul Heyman worked on. Without Heyman you cant have ECW. TNA need to realize what might have worked once isn't going to necessarily going to work agaimn if you slap a different name on it and shove it in peoples faces.

As an old school ECW fan I found it to be entertaining, it was what it could be and if it is their true "final stand" then it was a good way to go out.

You... obviously know nothing about the old ECW. I watched Hardcore Justice, it was the best WRESTLING ppv i have seen years and everyone on it was an original. I'm sorry wwe has brainwashed even you into thinking just Sandman, RVD and Sabur are originals, but there were in fact other people on the roster. Great ppv and I'm glad these guys got one more chance to go out the right way.

Not much a last stand when they are now in a storyline
Thanks TNA for net letting somethings just die and go away.
Unreleated note, the free PPV Impact was pretty damn good, just... as someone who could give 2 ****s about ECW, I'm done with ECW...

Great ppv and I'm glad these guys got one more chance to go out the right way. I know alot more then you think dude. I was mainly stating that of the originals on the show those that I mentioned were able to use there original name and not screwed over by WWE and there copyrights. I'm sure the ppv was packed full of ECW "please give us a job" Originals but none that I really care about. All the cool ECW originals already have jobs.....the ones that they dusted off for this ppv....meh. I can only get excited about drunk ass Sandman hitting himself with a kendo stick so many times before it starts to get lame. Although I will admit...I was surprised to see Al Snow and Head. But seriously...this was crap. Dance offs? A random showdown between the Gangstas and Team 3D that just abruptly ends in a hug and pose down? No luchadores? Thanks but no thanks. Next time I feel nostalgic for ECW I'll just go to youtube and watch old school ECW. Not TNA rehash the same story WWE did four years ago. Sorry TNA has brainwashed you into thinking everything they do is amazing.

Admittedly I didn't watch it, but from what I read it was pretty crappy. I wouldn't pay 50 cents to see Sabu wrestle, and you get to see RVD wrestle every week so that's not really special.
One Night Stand will always be the real reunion PPV. The emotion was there and they were actual old school ECW fans. Not people who got in for free and mark for anything and everything that happens. Were Juventud, Super Crazy, Psicosis, and all of the other luchadores that ECW brought to the US busy?
It seems like they just decided to have an ECW PPV and just threw it together instead of planning it out months in advance.
For what it was I guess it satisfied the people who will cheer for anything ECW-related, but they could have done much better. WWE has no ECW originals under contract so they could have realistically gotten anybody, but they didn't. And it was because like I said...lack of planning.

I do not mark out for everything TNA does, nor have they brainwashed me. But when I sit down to watch a wrestling ppv I expect there to be wrestling, solid ten, twenty minute matchs with people who know what their doing. Hardcore Justice gave me three hours of solid wrestling and hey, maybe you do not enjoy dance offs, which is something the old ECW used to do... And maybe you do not enjoy random beatdowns by the gangstas, which is something the old ECW used to do... But for being a ppv Dreamer and Dixie admitidly threw together in a month, it was the best wrestling ppv I have seen in years. Way better than the last WWE ppv I watched and above and beyond any TNA ppv I have ever seen.
On a Xavier Williams related note, the ppv impact was pretty awesome. I wasn't too happy with Madison jobbing to Angelina, but the rest of the show was good. The MCMG/Beer Money match was easily a MOTY. Angle/Styles was a great way to start the show. Abyss/RVD wasn't bad, I was expecting more after the way Abyss hyped his match with RVD as the most extreme ever, but it was good for what it was.

I wouldn't call it the best at all.
But I guess thats just me.
BUT.......
The Impact was freaking sweet! Beer Money vs MCMG was amazing. AJ vs Angle is always going to be good. Angle can make anyone look like a million bucks. I missed the RVD/Abyss match and Hulk Hogans special announcement but even without that it was great.
