OPENING
HE DID IT!
I'm free... no more Steve, no more of my father, nothing... just me and Adam together forever. It feels great. I literally thought I was going to throw up like three different times during that match but I held it together and watched as Adam prevailed forcing Steve to tap out to my finisher in the literal last second of the match. You can't imagine how good this feels right now. I'm sorry, Steve, it should of never come to this, but it's what you asked for and it's what you got.
A big official thank you goes out to my good friend Xavier Cross. He not only helped me through being forced to live with Steve, but when push came to shove, he was there and followed his conscience. Thank you for doing the right thing Xavier.. I mean Savior Cross. The man has himself a world title shot that he can cash in whenever he wants and now he has my eternal gratitude, you are a wonderful man Cross.
Now to go along with the awesome news of the night, we have to get straight down to some of the more terrible news. As I type this, at this moment there are still two NCW stars being tended to in local hospitals because of brutal attacks on the show. Best wishes go out to Rob Diamond who by all appearances was attacked by his older brother Chris Diamond dressed in his old “Maniac” costume. And of course everybody's favorite... Zelda Knite, who is still recovering from that concussion... she's doing fine now, her shoulder hurts and she's still not come around completely but doctors say she'll be fine.
Chris Diamond and those Dead Bitches should be ashamed of theirselves... well maybe not Chris so much since siblings tend to beat the hell out of each other sometimes, but he did go way overboard, on the other hand it was Rob Diamond who more than a few people have wanted to do the same thing to for years. Anyway to my point... it was disgusting. Zelda's attackers though will get theirs, I'll make sure of it, in fact I'm stepping into the ring this week to get a little measure of revenge for her, but more on that later.
Now to the polls. Last week you in a overwhelming margin picked the Iron Man match as the match you were most looking forward to and I've got to say it did not disappoint at all. There was just so much emotion and action in that match I don't see how Adam and Steve even lasted the whole sixty minutes, I thought they were just going to fall over at any minute but they kept fighting. All just for me. I'm still in shock over what lengths they both went through just because of their love of me and I feel terrible that they shortened their careers in that match, but man... now that it's over I can look back with fond memories on how great of a match it truly was.
I believe this week if I asked “what was your favorite match” the Ironman match would just win again so I'm not going to ask that at all. Instead I'm going to focus on the 5 Young Guns who have titles and see which person associated with the Revolution do you think is most likely to become a champion first. I think it's a pretty interesting question. Right now the Young Guns are on top of NCW as far as titles are concerned but you know for a fact that won't last, so who do you think will be the first to step up and win a belt for the Rev after last night?
Now it's on to the real meat of this column, I hope you enjoy it this week.
PAY PER VIEW REVIEW
Oh man... what a show, what a show. There were a lot of feuds and grudges coming to an end on this show and you could feel the entire night how much emotion was poured into every match. How much of their selves each and every wrestler just left in that ring is amazing. From Angel and Alex Jones using every inch of the arena to beat the hell out of each other to Adam and Steve standing right there in the ring and just brutalizing each other for a full sixty minutes, taking every second of the timer, it was a show that I honestly don't see how we can top anytime soon.
The opening of the show we had a very fast paced back and forth match between Zelda and Tara Fenix. Fenix is one of the best female wrestlers in the world, and is highly regarded as such, but Zelda proves again that when push comes to shove... she simply is the best NCW has to offer right now, what those three idiots did to her after the match was pathetic, they wish they were half the wrestlers Zelda is. The match was good, what happened afterwards, seeing NCW's Princess bleeding out on the concrete floor was a horrible sight.
The Assault X match that you fans voted to be on the show, I thought it went very well. It wasn't long, but you could see the fire Freakke, Evans, and JFK had to win that belt. Evans took a couple nasty falls and we've been told he's got a pretty sore back right now so he's going to take a few weeks off for a precautionary measure and see how his back feels after that. Everybody wrestled a great match and put their health on the line but it was Karn, my former stable partner who was able to finally pick up another NCW championship. It's been a long time coming for him, good job.
The Camelot Pit match, if you viewed this column last week you know about my disdain for this match coming in, I thought it was going to be stupid and idiotic and whatever, but... Tempestad and Sephiroth totally made me do a 180 here. It was a hard fought match, it was a great job by both men and way more entertaining than I gave it credit for, well done you two on that part.
Alex Jones and Angel... what more is there to say about this feud? What can I say that you haven't been telling yourselves? It was bloody, it was a fight, it was.... it was.... incredible. I was tearing up seeing Angel hugging his daughter, if it wasn't for the Ironman match later on in the show I'd say this was the best moment of the night and I'm a little biased on the other moment so it may in fact be better and I'm just not a reliable source. -heehee-
Then of course we had two main events and each was spectacular in their own right. Adam and Steve I believe I've talked about enough. It was NCW's first ever Ironman match and it tore the roof off of the building and there wasn't a single person standing afterwards. I was in tears, Adam was in tears, Steve was in tears.... it was a breath taking moment that I don't know if anybody will forget about any time soon. One day I truly believe people will look back at this match and call it one of NCW's defining moments.
Now our world title match and NCW's equally first time ever... Triple Cage Match. Many whispers were around that DDK and Burns couldn't carry a pay per view. They made a lot of whisperers eat their words with that showing they put on. Those two fought with so much passion to be the NCW champion, they gave that match everything their bodies could take and DDK is coming back and wrestling this week after taking that sick bump. Those two are part of what makes NCW so great, you can look to them and how they love this sport and say “that is NCW.”
Nothing can top this show in my mind, any time soon. It wasn't a 10, it passed 10 and left it deserted out in the Texas wilderness somewhere. This show is beyond being labeled with a silly number.
PREVIEW OF THIS WEEK
LAST WEEK'S RECORD:: 8-8 :: 50/50... well at least I didn't completely bone myself by getting worse than even, which I totally could of done.
OVERALL RECORD:: 152-97 :: I broke 150, that's pretty cool and I'm still under 100 in the loss column.
UPSET OF THE WEEK RECORD:: 7-14 :: Eventually I'm just going to stop keeping track of this, because I eff it up every time, that's 7 in a row I've gotten wrong.
TRAUMA:
Tag Team Match
MCM vs. Ex and Abel
Normally I'd go with the former tag team champoins, but I think the combo of Ex and Abel is too much for the Tard and Redneck.
Singles Match
Joe Ragnal vs. Mason St. Croix
Oh man this is a hard one. I hate going against Ragnal, but I have to, Mason St. Croix was too good in his debut on Wired.
Singles Match
Mike Honcho vs. Ron Gibson
Honcho is back baby! I'm not voting against the stache!
Main Event
Tag Team Match
Cleopatra and Maria De La Rosa vs. Ayla St. James and Kelly Knite
Like I'm going to pick myself losing. I'm going to **** these two up, I don't care if Ayla wants to help or not, I'll do it by myself and I'll freaking rip their god**** heads off! -cough- sorry about that.
SUNDAY MORNING WEB SHOW:
Singles Match
Megan Kane vs. LaToya Ryder
Have to go with Megan Kane here. She has the most experience and I think she can use that knowledge to overcome the size advantage LaToya has.
Singles Match
Red Dragon vs. Justin Reynolds
This is going to be a tough one, I guess I'll go with the guy who calls himself “Mr. NCW”
Three Way Match
DDK vs. Andrew Jacobsen vs. Stefan Rzany
Oh man... this is going to be a good match. Wow. This might be a bit of a long shot, but I'm going with Jacobsen here. I don't kinow, I think he comes through here.
Singles Match
Xavier Williams vs. Fergus Callaghan
Xavier Williams... I mean really, it's Fergus. Come on.
Main Event
Singles Match
Rayne vs. Malice
Rayne. That's who I'm pulling for to knock the piss out of Malice.
COLLISION:
Tag Team Match
Joe Everyman and Ashlie Ember vs. Falcon and Emma Danielson
Oh man Joe Everyman has been on fire lately and Ashlie has proven to even me that she might have a bit of skill after all, but it's Falcon and it's Heman Danielson... gotta go with them.
Singles Match
Philip Burns vs. Lance Ryan
The battle between my old No Warning Shots enemies. I'm going to believe Lance comes out with a huge victory over the current world champion.
Singles Match
Alex Jones vs. Xavier Cross
I'm going to vote for “Savior” Cross for no other reason than what he did at Ascension and because I don't see how Alex is walking after his fight with Angel.
!!!UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
Singles Match
Angel vs. Tempestad
I'm voting against Angel you say!? I'm crazy you say!? I might be, they both had brutal matches, lets see what they can do the week afterwards.
Singles Match
Doc vs. Gabriel Karras
This is a tough one, Karras is amazing, but I'm going with Doc here.
Tag Team Match
Adam Knite and Will Washingon (Kniteington) vs. Sephiroth Du Lac and Freakke (Bloody Clowns?)
Like I'm going to vote against Adam and WillWash (the man who one time saved my life). Adam is pretty angry over what Seph's girls did to his sister... he can't attack them so he's going after the head man.
Main Event
6 Man Tag Match
Brad Kane, Evan Andrews, Dave Holland vs. Venom, Charlie Velez, JFK
In a match that is going to flat out amazing....we've got one team of Anit-Front Office wrestlers and the team of three Young Gun champions. This match is going to be a good one.
THE FAB FIVE
5. Falcon :: He again defeated Rob Diamond, this time stepping out of his element and doing it in a submission match.
4. Tempestad :: It's been a long time coming since he could get the revenge he was seeking. He put his mask on the line and won.
3. Philip Burns :: He retained the world title in a match chosen by DDK and proved he is a true NCW champion.
2. Angel :: It took a lot to go through what Angel has for the past several months. He showed again why he is one of the best.
1. Adam Knite :: Completely bias, I know, but he went through 60 minutes of hell for one purpose.... to win his wife's freedom.
WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
1:: Angel versus Tempestad... seriously, two fine high flyers who know how to make things bloody. The only thing that could make this match better is if it would have been an Xtreme or Hardcore match up, but after what those two went through on Ascension I totally can see why it isn't going to be. Should be an amazing match no matter what though.
2:: Do I have to say anymore than “Knitington”? The fabled team of Adam Knite and Will Washington is finally coming together. Secretly I hear that Will Washington has been really pimping this pairing to anybody who would listen and when Adam wanting a shot at Seph.. it was a natural selection to have the man who just told me dad to “F Off”... sorry about that Ace pun.
3:: Charlie Velez... the man has been near unstoppable lately. He gets to main event this week's show along with his Young Gun partners, lets see how he does when he has to work as a team.
4:: Philip Burns and Lance Ryan in a singles match. I think my head might explode from anticipation here. These two are two of the founding fathers of NCW wrestling. They were in the original Road to the Gold tournament. They've both been world champions and we get to see them fight, on National television.
5:: Kelly Knite... hey.. I'm wrestling this week, I like to point it out for ya. -heehee-
THE KNITELINE
Glen Watts, Calgary, AB
"So, I was watching the Web Matches last Sunday, on the show before Ascension, and enjoying the tag match that my friend Evan Andrews was involved in, against the team Destructor! and Ron Gibson. But, wouldn't you know it, my lap top crashed mid-way through the match, and by the time I got it up and running again, the match was over...And Evan and his partner Alex Jones were having their hands raised in victory. Just wondering which one of those got the pin, and who took the loss, Kelly. Do you know what happened?
Oh yeah...Before I forget, while we're on the topic of Evan, what do you think of his recent change in attitude? Do you think this more aggressive approach is what he needs to be successful, or do you think the tension that it might cause within his circle of family and friends will do him more harm than good in the end?
Thanks!"
It was Evan Andrews pinning Ron Gibson I believe and yeas I love everything Evan Andrews so this new attitude change has been good in my eyes.
O.G. Steven Luke; The Bay Area (throw up a dub homie)
Yo wassup wassup, heres what I really wanna know Kelly. What's the secret behind Charlie Velez's amazing consistency? I heard its his thermal underwear. Can you shed any light on this?
I have no idea, but the man has just been flat out great for a while now. Will anybody be able to pry that National title away from him? I'm not sure if they can.
Bob Swerski, Chicago, IL
Kelly, I just wanted to ask two questions. First, this 'Mister nCw', is this guy for real, and do you think he is capable of backing his claims?
Question two, how long would you bet it would take Ditka to win all of the major belts and be made a Hall of Famer in the company if he joined say the day after Ascension? My moneys on a week tops but more than likely in three or four days.
I like the Mister NCW guy, takes a lot of brass to say the things he's said. Ditka though? I'm going with under three days, unless of course one of the champions was a hurricane... named Ditka..
Daniel; Aberdeen, Washington
"In a night full of shocking events, what do you think was the one moment from Ascension that we will remember for years to come?"
You're talking to the woman who saw her husband wrestle of the greatest matches in NCW's history and you're asking what match I'll remember for years to come? Obviously it's the Velez versus Brad Kane National title match.... idiot.
Bobby; Brooklyn, New York
"Since DDK failed to take the title away from Philip Burns, who do you think should be his next challenger? My vote is for Angel."
My money is on Sephiroth Du Lac.
Freya Kane: Boston, MA
"So, Kelly, isn't Joe Ragnal the biggest piece of crap in the world? I mean what kind of a guy is he with that blue hair and goofy stuff going on. Don't you hope he gets hurt and never wrestles again? I know I do."
I like the ragmaster. He's got some retarded hair but I can't really fault the guy for that. I however root for him whenever he's in the ring, I love that guy's wrestling.
Charlie S., nCw HQ
How do you break it to a psychopath you no longer wish to be friends?...not that I'm in a situation like that or anything....
Drive a stake through his heart? He'll get the message.
Sam from Colorado
Now that all four of the Young Guns have NCW titles do you think people will stop belittling their pasts and accept them as a dominat force?
Four? Don't you have a fifth member? I don't know.. I doubt some things ever really change much. Just look at how many people call me a whore, they stick with ideas they have stuck in their heads no matter how untrue they are.
Arnold Bryan, Brentwood, California
Who got beat down worse, Zelda or Destructor!?
They both took a nasty beating at the hands of that idiotic Darkside Society, but I think Zelda probably took the harder hit..... not only because of taking a knock out shot like that, but also because of them wrenching that already hurt shoulder even more.
MY CLOSING THOUGHTS
:: Did you see that bump Kanyon took!? I can't believe that he's going to come out and wrestle this week.
:: Sephiroth and Tempestad put up a great match... sorry I doubted you guys.
:: I think I saw some fans in tears after the Dead Tramps attacked Zelda. Even wearing Young Gun colors they can't get enough of her.
:: I'm totally in love with these new recruits NCW has signed. Justin Reynolds, Red Dragon, and Mason St. Croix. If they keep working they will be headlining NCW pay per views along with Evan Andrews very soon.
:: Is anybody else just loving the idea of Ron Gibson and Mike Honcho working this match together? I'm totally stoked for it.
:: Rumor is that my father is going to be starting a search for a new General Manager with the resignation of Rob Diamond, it begins this week if it's true, we'll see.
:: I still don't see how Angel and Alex Jones can be wresling this week. Along with DDK we must have some idiots on our roster.. take the time and heal boys.
:: Every member of the Young Guns now has an NCW championship around their weist. They're a group that can't be taken lightly anymore.
:: Finally I just want to say again... Thank you Xavier Cross.
Thanks for coming here and reading this little article of mine that I do every week. It's been a pleasure writing it and I really hope you enjoyed it as well. Until next time...
