OPENING
Another week fans, and it was another week of awesome NCW action. Now here we are the week after Ascension and what do we get, some major bombshells on the shows, and some great matches. NCW never misses a beat I tell you. Well I know what everybody wants to hear, I know what you all came here to see my reaction over... Gib... Is back baby! He's been appointed the new “Sheriff” of NCW, he'll be around to make sure everybody stays in line and no rules are broken anymore. I can honestly say I'm really excited over it too! It's Gib! The Millenium Icon! This is a great day in NCW.
In other news, it appears that Lance Ryan has officially retired from wrestling. This is a sad day in NCW people. He was an original, and he was one of the best to ever grace that ring. Without Lance Ryan... NCW wouldn't be here today, period. There is no denying that pure and simple fact. I'm glad he got to come back and show that he was still an amazing talent before he left for good, and who knows maybe this won't last forever, maybe he'll come back home one day. I know I sure as hell hope so. An NCW without Lance Ryan hardly feels like an NCW at all.
Lets have a look see what last week's poll, it seems Evan Andrew narrowly beats out Adam for the person you think will be the next Revolution champion and despite the fact Adam is my wonderful husband, I have to agree with this choice, that Evan Andrews is one impressive wrestler, perhaps the single best up and comer we have on the roster. Terminus has really taken things to a new level for himself here in NCW and I'm looking forward to seeing where he goes. I also think you can't overlook Brad Kane on that list, he's too good to stay out of the championship spotlight for long.
This week
REVIEW OF LAST WEEK
Oh man did we have some good shows for you this past week. Then again I knew just from looking at the cards that they were going to be freaking great. Well... even not taking into count that I had a match, they were freaking awesome.
Trauma was fantastic, I know I've been saying this for a few weeks straight now, but you better watch out for Trauma, the show seems to only be getting better and better every week. It's widely known as the NCW “B-Show” but it's not putting out B-level style of matches. Just this past week we had matches like DDK versus Andrew Jacobsen, Me and Ayla teaming against the Dead Girls and this week, we've got NCW's first ever Bra and Panties match, and Zelda defending her women's title. Trauma is going to be on an equal level as Collision before too long.
What can I say about Collision? I don't know how much I can praise it this week without seeming like a rainbow and sunshine pushing homer, but come on, just look at the show from top to bottom. We opened with a great opening intergender match... where we saw Joe Everyman and Ashlie Ember take a loss to the He-Beast and Falcon. Some good wrestling action in that match. Then we drive down the card to see the first ever team up of “Knitington” during the last ever team up of the “Ringmasters” that saw Sephiroth not only walk out on his tag team partner, but also crimson mist him, essentially giving his team the loss. I don't know what he was thinking, but it was clear that it wasn't a happy break up between the ringmasters.
The show ended with a huge six person tag match, that lived up to it's billing as the main event and was clearly the match of the night. Brad Kane, Evan Andrews, and Dave Holland really worked for this win and you could tell that at the end of the night.. they just wanted it more. It was some fantastic back and forth action that you fans have come to expect from us. Good job to the winners and well done to the losers, maybe next time.
Anyway, overall the shows were great, I'd have to say the low point was DDK attacking Burns and Ryan during a showing of mutual respect and the high point was the main event followed by the huge announcement that Gib was being named as NCW's enforcer. Great shows this week, and I'm looking forward to seeing even more.
PREVIEW OF THIS WEEK
LAST WEEK'S RECORD:: 10-4 :: Oh yeah baby.... that's the way to get right back on track with this predictions by knocking them out of the park.
OVERALL RECORD:: 162-101 :: Oh man... I did do my best to stop my loses from going over 100 but I just cut it too closer. However, I did go up 60+ in the win column, I call that success. Congratulations to me.
UPSET OF THE WEEK RECORD:: 7-15 :: Son of a ….. GAH! I'm never going to get back on track with this am I?
TRAUMA
Singles Match
Sephiroth Du Lac vs. Falcon
:: Sephiroth Du Lace won the last battle between these two, but this time Falcon is motivated, he's fighting for Zelda. I think he comes away with the victory.
Bra and Panties Match
Cleopatra vs. Megan Kane
:: I'm going with Cleopatra here, because honestly... Megan Kane just seems likely to strip herself and lose, more so than to she seems willing to actually wrestle a match.
!!!UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
Xtreme Match
Joe Ragnal vs. JFK
:: Tough one here, on one hand JFK is fresh off an X-Division title win a couple of weeks ago, but on the other Ragnal is awesome. I'm going to go with Ragnal and say he upsets the X-Division champion.
Singles Match
Jason Blair vs. Mason St. Croix
:: This is going to be a tough match, and it's going to be a hard fought one that could swing either way. In the end though, I have to go with Mason St. Croix in what might be considered an upset.
MAIN EVENT:
Women's World Title Match
Zelda Knite vs. Maria De La Rosa
:: I don't want to pick against Zelda, and I won't... however with that shoulder still bothering her and still recovering from that concussion I don't know if Zelda is well enough to win this match.
Collision WEB SHOW
Singles Match
Paolo Annibaldi vs. Freakke
:: Freakke is the two time X-Division champion and “The Microphone Fiend” is in his first match, I have to go with the Clown here.
Singles Match
Ricky Johnson vs Jayson Matthews
:: This should be very intersting. I think Ricky the man who has held every NCW title but one is the way to lean in this match.
Singles Match
Red Dragon vs. Justin Reynolds
:: Their match got held off the show last week because of time contraints, they'll try to go at it one more time and this time I'm switching to Red Dragon as my pick.
Tag Team Match
Gabriel Karras and Angel vs. Ex and Abel
:: When you look at the size advantage Ex and Abel has you'd go instantly with them, but I know Karras and I know Angel even better... those two can overcome a size advantage.
Singles Match
Xavier Williams vs. Andrew Jacobsen
:: Andrew Jacobsen narrowly will pull out this victory.
COLLISION
Hardcore Match
Tempestad vs. Evan Andrews
:: Another tougher.. man there are too many tough choices. I'm going with Evan Andrews here, but Tempestad is the Xtreme champion and he is a great wrestler.
Singles Match
Xavier Cross vs. Will Washington
:: Again another tough match! Give me Will Wash in another close one. I think he avenges the loss from the last time they fought.
Tag Team Match
Rayne and Ayla St. James vs. LaToya Rider and Emma Danielson
:: Latoya and Emma definetly look like a scary team, but if anybody can overcome them it's Ayla and Ryne
Tag Team Match
Rob Diamond and Mike Honcho vs. Joe Everyman and Ron Gibson
:: I can't vote against the Mike Honcho mustache experience. I just can't I tell you. Also the fact that Joe Everyman is on the other team helps. Also.. RON!
Singles Match
Charlie Velez vs. Adam Knite
:: In the interest of fairness and unbiased predictions I'm going to go with Adam Knite here.
Singles Match
Dave Holland vs. Doc
:: Hardest match of the night to call. Dave Holland is an NCW legend and Doc is well on his way to the same status and I really think this could go either way. I'm going to go out and say however that Dave Holland pulls this one off.
Main Event:
Tag Team Match
Philip Burns and DDK vs. Steve Awesome and Brad Kane
:: Along the same lines as Zelda... I just don't know if DDK is healthy enough to help Philip win this match, I'm going to grudgingly go with Awesome here... and justify it by rooting for Kane.
Oh man do we have some good matches for you this week. The main events for both shows look spectacular right now. Then we have some really great undercard stuff... the first match of the week is going to be Sephiroth versus Falcon? Seriously... just imagine what the rest of the cards is looking like. Come on,you know you don't want to miss this weeks shows, make sure you set yoru DVRs, whatever it takes or you're going to regret it.
THE FAB FIVE
5. Emma Danielson :: Picked up the win for her and Falcon.
4. Andrew Jacobsen :: Defeated DDK on Trauma, that's pretty impressive any way you look at it.
3. Angel ::[/color] Every single time I pick him to lose he always seems to win.
2. Alex Jones :: Impressive victory over the man who owns an NCW world title shot.
1. Evan Andrews :: He's only getting better and better.
WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
1:: Are you looking at that opening match on Trauma? Sephiroth Du Lac versus Falcon? I've said this like three times already but come on.. that's going to be one hell of a match. Sephiroth Du Lac is the deranged vampire who is the stable leader to the Dead Girls in the Darkside Society, and Falcon would literally kill somebody to defend Zelda.
2:: Make sure to keep a close eye on Joe Ragnal this week. This is his big chance to really make his mark on NCW and I think he has all the tools to do it. Winning this match will go a long way to solidifying him as a title contender here in the next few months.
3:: There is a match on Collision that nobody should miss, if this was a pay per view main event, nobody would complain about it because it'd be so much awesome. Dave Holland taking on Doc. This is going to be a classic moment in NCW Collision history, I'm calling it right now, it's going to be the match of the night.
4:: Ricky Johnson, he makes his in ring return to NCW in this match against the Foff's very own Jasyson Matthews. It should be an interesting match if nothing other than the fact that Ricky Johnson is returning! It'll be on the Web Show, so make sure and catch it Snday morning.
The Kniteline
Al Johnson, Shanghai
Kelly, I used to think that Doc was just going off in his promos to promote himself and his team, but after reading how you completely blanked the Front Office victory over a hall of fame tag team in your pay-per-view review and also said that we all know for a fact that the Young Guns dominance in terms of titles wont last, I'm starting to be convinced he was right I mean, I don't like the guys, but why have they done to deserve such constant put downs in terms of their ability to win when other people on the roster, who are far more inconsistent and lose a lot more matches, recieve undeserving praise? It's so biased that it's disgusting..
:: Well to defend myself... I meant we know it wouldn't last because title reigns never do when you suddenly get a target over your head like the Young Guns have. They are great talents and now everybody has taken notice and now everybody is aiming for them.
Nick Riviera; Springfield
Hi, everybody! Two things, Kelly. First, have you noticed that a suspiciously high proportion of Knitelife commenters are Young Guns fans, considering the crowds always hate them? Also, have you considered elective cosmetic surgery? You can never have too much up top!
Bye, everybody!
:: One, I think they are just very popular right now. The fans love to boo them, therefore there are a lot of questions about them that come in. No, I will never do that. I'm fine with my body and so is Adam so why should I?
Jose, New Mexico
Have you ever noticed the lack of interest in the Revolution in these questions? I wonder if it is because the Revolution fans are just lazy or maybe they don't have interest in finding out more about them. What do you think the problem is?
:: I think they are just lazy. Those jerks.
Akara, Alexandria Egypt
Kelly, I saw what the Dead Girls did to Zelda at the PPV and I have to say it was very impressive. Do you think that they will keep on this war path taking out Diva after Diva to get what they want? Oh and one more thing... How did you enjoy your experience against the Golden Goddess?
:: Well first things first NCW does not call their Female Wrestlers Divas. We're not some crazy company up north. We call them the equally retarded "Starlets", ha ha. Anyway, no I don't think they will... Zelda is going to tear them apart. Finally, Cleo is a great wrestler, she just isn't in my league.
Cletus, Bridgetown, WV
Hey, Kelly. You sure are pretty. Um, listen those two big fellas the ones with the masks... when is there next appearance with that Jaymie Boone? I was hoping to catch them with my brother John Boy. We is fans of theirs.
:: Thank you Cletus. I believe they have a match on the Collision web show if you want to check them out this week.
Erica, Savannah, GA
Hi, Kelly. This is Mason St. Croix's wife. Before I ask you my question I just want to say that I was so happy to see you and Adam reunited. Now my question for you is what can I do to make Mason talk to me and allow me to explain why I did what I did? I've tried everything, calls, e-mails, texts, I even called his Father and all he did was curse at me. I know you don't know the whole story but any advice would be a big help. If you can't help, if you see him could you at least tell him that I love him and I'm sorry? Thanks.
:: I have no idea, but I'll definitely tell him if I see him walking around the halls, the only advice I have is just don't give up, keep letting him know how much you care.
Average fan from you town USA
Hey kelly quick question..who the **** is Mason Ct Croix?
:: A very impressive new comer.
Chris Irvine; Manhasset, NY
YOU'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT WILL WASHINGTON ENOUGH!
:: Who is Will Washington? Oh yeah... that guy who saved my life. I think I mention him plenty.
Billy Zapka; Santa Clara, California
Now that Lance Ryan seems to be retired for good, who would you like to see call it quits next? Basically who has worn out their welcome with you? Oh....and you can't pick Steve. He makes money and the girls love him.
:: If I can't pick Steve then I hate to say it, but we might just see Adam Knite go next. He just wants to settle down and raise Ryleigh right now. He won me, he's been the world champion, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame... I think he feels he's accomplished what he set out for.
Javier Kross; Coltsneck, New Jersey
With Gib as the new 'Sheriff' of nCw, how long do you think it will be before he shoots someone? Accidental shots count.
:: Don't worry... we filled his six shooter with blanks, but my guess would be... yesterday?
MY CLOSING THOUGHTS
:: What DDK did was disgusting. Plain as that. Put Burns and Lance into the hospital last night.
:: I'm really gushing over Evan Andrews lately, but it's totally warranted.
:: Ha ha, I won last week... ha ha, choke on that Dead B*tches.
:: Sometimes I really wonder what is going on inside the head of Doc... he's like bi-polar or something. We have to wonder how his friends feel about him stepping out on them.
:: I miss Destructor.
:: I love Mike Honcho's stache.
:: Gib as the NCW Sheriff makes me so happy, the man I view as my big brother is going to keep this place in line. Count on it.
:: I really hope Chris Diamond isn't really behind the Maniac mask.
Well fans.... that's all I have this week. I hope you enjoyed this and I hope you enjoy the NCW action this week.. until next time...
