So I have this manager at work who's been there maybe about 4 months now. He's into everything nerdy and talks non-stop, so sometimes you can have a good conversation, sometimes he's annoying as hell. But the weird thing is that whatever you talk to him about, he always knows someone on the inside and has the inside scoop. It's always someone just popular enough to know who he's talking about, but not popular enough that you could believe he knows them. This includes people in video games, comics, and supposedly Jaime on NXT season 3, as well as two backstage WWE people.
The stuff he talks about is ridiculous, too ridiculous to keep to myself. I mean in that, if they were to actually happen, it would be cool as hell, but usually there's no way it could happen, or even if it could, there is no way someone would trust him with this information, because he can't keep a secret to save his life. So what I'm thinking is he must just be putting news bits together and making up his own thing, or someone is messing with him. What kind of facts you ask?
For instance, when Undertaker got "taken out of action," he told me that the culprit was going to be revealed as Sting. WWE and TNA reached a deal for WWE to borrow Sting until Wrestlemania for the eventual match between the two and WWE would get a DVD out of it and TNA would get Sting back afterward and the press. Of course, when that ended up not happening, I asked him what happened and he just said the deal fell through so Kane was the culprit to give him a feud before he retired. Crazy right!? But he tells it with such conviction, like he knows it will happen.
And it's been different crazy stories ever since. Some small and obvious, some big and crazy. Here's what he has that has yet to be revealed true or false:
- Jaime knows she will be eliminated, so she's going to do something crazy, but he can't tell me what, and then reveal she's already got a job when she gets eliminated.
-All the ladies of NXT season 3 didn't fill out "WWE contracts" they filled out "GLOW contracts." Apparently Vince secretly bought the old promotion's library and is bringing it back.
-The Raw GM will be revealed as Mick Foley. That's why he's being mentioned on TV and interviewed by WWE.com. He has the first ever dual contract because both companies are doing terrible ratings so they're working together.
I'll keep you updated when I hear more. Feel free to discuss the possibilities.
