“Just look around you, Alex.
Look around you, and see what’s going on…closely watch the people by your side.
Look at men like Angel, the man who had to jump to power and is already abusing it. He took by Dave Holland’s side because he ‘believed’ in something, that I didn’t deserve to win the World Championship. He played an honorable man for months, telling his friends it was time to do the ‘right thing’…and now he’s just like the old bastard Leonard Fox, a man he claimed was abusing his power not too long ago.
Look at Falcon, a man who used to be so honorable, now a shell of his former self. He tried to take Zelda, trying to make her do ‘the right thing’. He acts like we’re morphing her mind, trying to make her something she’s not. We haven’t done any such thing; we let Zelda do her own thing, we let Zelda decide her destiny. We’re evil, we’re controlling and yet…Falcon is the one coming out every week trying to change Zelda into what he wants her to be.
Look at Dave Holland, a man of honor and pride. For years Dave Holland was a man of his word, a man who stood above all else with his pride. Now he’s just like the rest of you, joining men who would give himself the biggest advantage. The Dave Holland that I faced a month ago wouldn’t need a group behind him, especially having a group of men who jump in front of him, trying to wave their hands in the air trying to get attention. The Dave Holland I faced a month ago would have stepped out in front of the crowd and accepted what was going to come to him…
Look at Milo Holland, and…and…
Well, nobody realizes he’s part of the group either, so forget that.
These men, these people who you associate yourself with Alex, they have worse intentions then any of the Young Guns do. They’re monsters underneath; hell they’re worse than we are. At least the Young Guns come out and tell the world their true feelings, they tell everybody that we’re better than them, and that we’re going to do anything to achieve our goals. You guys, you hide behind the cheers of the fans, and you slowly do more evil things then we ever did. We’re not trying to manipulate teenage girls, we’re not trying to take control of the company and put our enemies in an unfair advantage.
We’re just trying to prove that we’re the best.
And that’s always been a problem with you and me Alex; we have different views on everything. You join your friends because you think you’re fighting for a greater good, fighting for the fans and making things ‘fair’. But you and I have different definitions of the word ‘fair’. You think it’s fair that Angel put us in matches that don’t benefit us; you think it’s fair that we be punished for doing what we believe in. Do you really hear that Alex? Do you really believe that the Young Guns are destroying the nCw, or is there something deeper then all of this? Our intentions have always been clear, to be the best. What are your intentions? You all want to make things fair, but I doubt you guys even know the meaning of the word.
The only thing that’s going to be fair is how badly I’m going to beat you this Sunday.
Alex Jones, the small man in the group of giants, you’re going to step into a Death Cage against a man you’ve known for years. You were around when I dominated that other place, and you’re around now to see me dominate this place. You couldn’t stop me before, what makes you think you can stop me now that I’m older, wiser, and hungrier than I ever was? Do you think you can beat me now, Alex? You’re sadly mistaken. You’re just like all the fans you pander to, they all think that Charlie Velez is a joke, a man that doesn’t deserve the respect that he has earned after years of being the best wrestler this company has to offer. Things have changed, Alex. Maybe a few years ago I would have tried to prove them wrong, doing things that could end my career, but now…I have nothing left to prove to them. Even if I don’t have that World Championship belt around my waist, they know the truth. They know that I am the best wrestler in the world.
And that it’s only a matter of time until I have it.
Death Cage is just a playground for me. You’ve seen the matches I’ve been in, the things I’ve gone through in my career. Death Cage is just like everything else, another step on my rise to the top. You might think of it as something special Alex, hell I know your buddy Angel thinks this match has the chance to hurt me, but I beg to differ. While a Death Cage is a big momentous match, I call it home. I call it a home, because when we’re in it Alex, you’ll be abiding by my rules. When I smash your face against the mesh it’ll be like putting up portraits on my wall. When your blood drips against the floor, I’ll call it redecorating. Alex Jones, you might think this is the match that will make you, that will finally put you on the map.
I think this is the match that ends your career prematurely.
Alex Jones, I’m sorry to break the news to you, but you’re just not that important to me. You’re expendable, you’re somebody that could be replaced easily by even the smallest of superstars. The only person on my mind is Dave Holland, the world Heavyweight Champion. Dave, what I do to your little buddy Alex Jones will just be a tiny example of what I can do to you. Throw your friends of me, hide behind them while you keep my World Championship warm. It’s alright Dave, because while you and your punk friends take your shots at me, I’ve been here standing, taking all the punches that you guys throw. Dave Holland, you got lucky and pinned me once, and the other time the match ended because I passed out. I never tapped out, I never got beat. You might hold the victory over my head, and that’s alright.
Because I’ll get the last laugh.
Whether you guys like it or not, I will be World Heavyweight Champion. I might not have done it last time, but you know what? The best moments are the ones that you wait for, because the wait will be more then worth it. Dave Holland, you face Venom this week, and I know he’s going to take you to the limit. Hell, he might even beat you. I wouldn’t be shocked, hell, I almost expect him to win. Dave Holland, you can hide behind your team for now, but the time is coming when I will pull you out from behind that crowd and beat you, 1…2…3.
And it’ll finally be mine.
Thank Me Later.”
The anticipation is driving me crazy, I wake up in the middle of the night thinking of how things will turn out, but I know I must wait for it to happen…
I cannot change the past, I cannot force new history onto myself, but I can do one thing.
I can go back, and make sure that everything I did was worthwhile.
I can go back, and look at the men who helped mold me and make me who I am today, and see what I did wrong. I can do it, because I am Charlie Velez.
I am the man who changed professional wrestling forever.
Underneath this man is not a failure.
No, it’s a beast.
And I know I can finally win it all, with a little help from
The Beast Within Me.
