Yes, this is like the last song and the last movie thread....but the difference is were going to go with full length albums. I'm not sure if this will pick up because I dont know if people these days even appreciate the album as a whole. Bands like Zeppelin never released there songs as singles because they felt that people should enjoy there work all at once in the form of the album. Wich is good because alot of there albums really gave you a certain feel.
Anyways, put here the last full album that you listened to tell us what you think and give it a grade, I think that will help people find better and more different types of music.

Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
A
I gave this album a solid A because it was awesome. Kanye really put a lot of heart into this album and you can tell. Even if you don't like rap, the beats and the music that is sampled is great. Samples of King Crimson and there's even a Black Sabbath sample in one of the songs as well go ahead and look it up.
Kanye West may be a douchebag sometimes but you can't take away from the dudes musical talent. I mean he is a lyrical motherfu**ing GENIUS! And dark twisted fantasy proves that. A couple guest spots like John Legend, Rhiannah (sp), Jay-Z, Niki Minaj (not really a fan of hers, kind of brings the song "Monster" down for me.) But Kanye definately makes them all his be-yotches.
Let's have a toast for the douchebags and the gay fishes.

Vertical Horizon - Burning The Days
Grade - A
Vertical Horizon has only released three albums so far, but this is easily their best. Their other albums, Everything You Want and Go, both produced songs that most people could name or sing to, and Burning The Days fits in with them. I'm a tad bias with the grade, because I've been a huge fan of theirs ever since I first heard them, but their newest album is something special. All of the songs have something behind them, instead of just being mindless lyrics with repetitive beats and rhythms *Cough* Saliva *Cough*. I highly recommend this album to anyone who likes music like this (Foo Fighters, Incubus, The Calling, Coldplay) or just newer music in general.

The Fall Of Ideals - All That Remains
I'll be doing my a bit differently from the first two that were done in this thread. I'll go track by track, grade those and then give an overall grade at the end.
This Calling - A+ Not Alone - B It Dwells In Me - B- We Stand - C+ Whispers (I Hear Your) - B+ The Weak Willed - B Six - A Become The Catalyst - C The Air That I Breathe - B Empty Inside - C+ Indictment - A
The album as a whole blends together nicely. However there seems to be a few reused ideas that makes it seem repetitive quite a bit. Almost everything was similar sans Six really. This Calling is still their signature track in my eyes. The closing song was a nice idea lyrically which seems to give more of an idea that this album is more about religion then you'd think. Overall I'd probably give it a solid B. The three 'A' tracks are well worth going out of your way for. Whispers is a great stand alone itself. Become The Catalyst really brings it down because it's kinda the same as This Calling to me anyways.

Can a Drummer Get Some - Travis Barker & DJ Whoo Kid with Various Artists
This was a free download and a friend of mine was just telling me that Travis Barker has been producing some solid beats for rappers lately and now this popped up trying to get me to download it on facebook. So far it's pretty good. It's an all start line up or Lil Wayne, Game, Kanye, Lupe Fiasco and on and on.

Fort Minor - The Rising Tide.
B
A very solid, very good hip hop album. None of this "gangster" crap, just out right beats and lyrics. I really like Mike Shinoda and the guys he's assembled. Some of the tracks are Grade A worthy and some others just don't hit that epic level that the others do, so it gets a solid B, and I truly recommend to anybody who likes real hip hop.

First up was Black Materia by Random and Lost Perception. It's a concept album based around Final Fantasy 7. However it's rap. They do a great job with the lyrics and the beats. Pretty awesome in my opinion so that gets an A.
Second is Hymn of a Broken Man by Times of Grace. Just happened to fall on these guys. It's headed by Jesse Leach and Adam D, both of former and current Killswitch Engage fame. It's a solid metalcore album that's pretty awesome as well. Not all the way through this one yet but it's on the way to an A itself.
