OPENING
Here we are again, another exciting week of NCW action has passed so that must mean it's time for another exciting edition of my “Knitelife” column that I just know all of you have been waiting so long to see. We've got a lot of great action to cover this week as without a doubt there was a ton going on in the aftermath of Metamorphosis.
With the biggest news this week probably being two NCW wrestlers have been put on the shelf. Trent Helms who recently returned at Time to Riot to take part in the Riot match, and Emma Danielson are both out for an undetermined amount of time. Emma Danielson thanks to a car accident and Trent Helms thanks to the walking venereal accident, Steve Awesome. Trent who recently joined our announce team will be replaced by the man he relieved of his duties, Willy Carter. It's good to see Willy back in front of the camera but it's a shame... a crying shame that Trent can't be with us because Steve is trying ot end people's careers out there.
Which makes me feel horrible since I praised Steve for doing whatever it took to beat Jacobsen and stopping the youngster for making a name off of him... I hate seeing what Steve has become right now, but it's clicking for him, hopefully this week Tempestad can again knock him back down to size. Last week's poll even hit on this with you fans picking Jacobsen declaring Steve as his daddy as the biggest event coming out of Meta, it was huge, I can't argue it and it seems that AJ was only the first victim in Steve's path, I have no idea what he's going to do next.
This week for a poll I'm going to gauge your interest on who you want to see have a special phone interview with yours truly next. I can't promise that I'll be able to get your choice, but I will do my best to get them on the line and question them up. Just pick whoever you most want to see and I've allowed you to pick 2 people just so I can hopefully get a good second place as well, maybe make this a string of people ever. Who knows, it's up to you.
REVIEW
:: TRAUMA ::
Trauma was a very solid show as usual this week, a show that was marked by Simon Daye making his unsuccessful in ring debut on the show he commentated for, for over two years. It was a bittersweet homecoming of sorts for Daye as Joe Everyman ruins his debut match, but Simon would get a measure of revenge later in the night after Joe Everyman makes gets a surprise victory in the main event.
The show was good, a lot of tension between Simon and Joe really marked it as some great action not to mention the main event's actual wrestling match that saw Joe Everyman and Shane Hunt really take each other to the edge and giving the fans a great match to watch. Congratulations go out to those two for doing such a great job and another big time “good job” goes to Andrew Jacobsen who was able to defeat the “Kane” Brothers despite being short his good friend.
Jacobsen showed a lot of guts Saturday, he fought through what happened to Emma, and he took on two wrestlers, and still managed to pick up the victory. Despite the fact it was Hexx and Happy, it was still a great win for him. Overall the show this week was very solid, wasn't anything spectacular but I have to give it a B-
:: COLLISION ::
Now Collision came out and hit us right in the face like it was named Falcon. Jack Manson starts off the show by going completely nuts, almost getting himself fired in his rage. I don't think I've ever seen Jack Manson this focused, this intense, this determined. Venom and anything for that matter who try to get in his way, might be in for a huge eye opener, this is a scary Jack Manson.
The matches were outstanding, Knitely Bangs and Rob picked up the win in what turned out a 3 on 1 contest after Ander Carvetti and Johnny Holliday left the ring area to tend to their own business I guess. Falcon gave his team the DQ for some unknown reason when he clocked Jack Manson with a steel chair... which may not be a good idea after what we saw at the beginning of the show and of course the aforementioned Steve Awesome almost killing Trent Helms made for a lot of drama this week. It was intense I tell you, I have no idea what has gotten into people around here, but It can only spell something good for the NCW faithful.
Other notes are that Brad Kane and Tempestad stole the show with their match, they brutalized each other and in the end it was BK staking his claim back at NCW greatness, not only with the victory but by coming out and throwing down the gauntlet to our Honor champion Chris Gardner with an uncalled for attack. Brad Kane is back, and he's going to make sure everybody knows it, this is a scary thought, when Kane is focused, few can stand in his way for long.
Overall I'd say Collision was... well outstanding. A huge match between Portia Roberts and Stephanie Sullivan really helped push the women's division into the spotlight some more. Watching Lex Sense and Ricky Johnson wrestle a great match to open the show and all the outside the ring action was amazing... Alex Jones is stacking his claim on the world title and I love it seeing somebody that passionate and Charlie Velez is constantly proving why it looks like he's going to be a world champion for a very long time. This Collision? A total A.
THE FAB FIVE
5. HOMELESS HAROLD :: Harold lost his title at Metamorphosis but this week he comes back and takes on the undefeated Honor Champion in Chris Gardner. I hate to do it, but it was a great win for the monster and showed everybody that he’s still a force to not take lightly.
4. JOE EVERYMAN :: Great job for Everyman this week... I told you... when I pick him to win, he never wins. When I’m positive that he’ll lose, he’ll always win. It’s freaking annoying I tell you. I think he does it on purpose.
3. DESIREE TAYLOR :: She’s a psycotic crazy ass who now has Sydney’s middle name stitched into her back, but she picked up a huge victory with two other great female wrestlers in the ring with her.
2. TRENT HELMS :: His first match outside of the RiOT which is a totally different beast and he’s int he main event facing off against the Face of the Franchise... he picked up the victory, but he payed a huge price for it.
1. ANDREW JACOBSEN :: He basically had to fight in a handicap match and dispite this he pulled through and picked up a victory for his friend that couldn’t be there. It was a gutsy performance.
PREVIEW
LAST WEEK’S RECORD:: 6-5 :: My worst outing by far since the new year started. I still ended up in the positive but only by one match. It was a crazy week of action, that’s going to be my excuse. Deal with it.
OVERALL RECORD:: 47-16 :: Well I’m 31 up in the win column, it’s not bad, but I really wish I would of done a better job predicting the matches this week. I’m going to make up for it this week I tell you.

WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
:: Z.KNITE & DESIREE vs. NEWBORN & ROXXXIE :: This is going to be an intense match, Desiree and Zelda fought a war at Meta, with Desiree even managing to knock Zelda out of action for a week despite losing and here they are having to team together. Desiree is just crazy enough to make this match work, just to try and get in Zelda’s head, to make her make the first move against her. You’ll want to watch this, no doubt.
:: JOHNNY HOLLIDAY :: Who knows what Holliday is thinking right now? He watched his best friend and partner walk out on him this past week on Collision, which prompted him to just sorta... give up on the match. He didn’t run after to attack Ander, he didn’t try and stop him... he just stood up and said “screw it”, should be interesting to see what he’s going to do this week.
:: FALCON vs. JACK MANSON :: Jack Manson is already on the war path, thinking he’s the rightful National champion and then he takes a steel chair shot from Falcon on Collision for no apparent reason... yeah this doens’t look good for the bird in this one. I don’t think this match is going to be pretty at all.
:: TEMPESTAD :: He’s got a rematch against Steve Awesome this week after picking up a huge upset victory in their last meeting. This is probably going to be the match of the week, especially with the way Steve Awesome has been determined to injure whoever it is he’s facing, Tempestad may not want to win this win... not from what I saw last week with Trent.
THE KNITELINE
Arnold Walker, New York, New York
So Kelly, what do you think of Alex Jones and everybody claiming Charlie Velez is a 'paper' champion? Don't you think his impressive record since joining the nCw should prove Jones' accusations false?
:: I'm not the biggest fan of Charlie in the world, you know.... ever sense he cuttered me onto the floor that night, but to say he didn't earn that belt is a bit ridiculous. He's a real champion here, as much as it pains me to say that.
Tom Corden; Norfolk, England
Now that StarHunter has split, which of the two wrestlers do you think will have a better singles career in NCW? Also, do you think Shane Hunt will become disliked by the crowd because of the way he's been talking about Paul Star recently?
:: Well Paul Star is already off to the better start of having an overall better singles career, he's got an X-Division title reign under his belt, so I'll side with him since we've seen how good he can be. A good way to get on the crowd's badside? Attack somebody they like.
Franklin Berry, Wichitaw, Kansas
Steve Awesome is a bastard! He didn't have to hurt Trent like that! Trent Helms was my favorite wrestler and I was so happy to see him back. Now Steve Awesome forced him to leave Collision on a stretcher. Do you think Trent will pull through or was his return short lived?
:: Oh, it will take more than that to keep Trent off the shelves for too long, I've seen that man take a lot of punishment in my time.
Joey King Kansas City, Missouri
Where does someone like Alex Jones get off calling anyone a paper champion? Isn't he the guy with a fake title belt using it to try and earn a title shot? I know Charlie may not be the straightest arrow but at least he's out there winning matches to get his Championships. I can never respect a guy who just shows up with a title and thinks it makes him a champion.
:: Alex just does whatever he thinks it takes to get what he wants, a lot like Charlie does.
Mercedes Lewis,Virginia Beach, va
Not a question, but a statement you may not like but I'm gonna be there Sunday, so tell That walking case of hesatitus that He is going to pay....So get Adam, Ander, AJ, don't care who because Awesome will pay for what he did
::What are you going to do there? His laundry?
Travis Wilson; Manchester, England
Is it true that Trent Helms, Roxxxie, and Paul Star are long lost relatives?
:: I don't think so, in fact I'm pretty sure Trent would be a good candidate for a sexual partner for Roxxxie. He like the cheap hooker types.
Keira Knight, Ft Lauderdale, FL.
Who do you think can beat Trish Newborn for the World Ttitle?
:: Well we can first look to the woman who has only lost one singles match for the past year, then we could probably look to the likes of Portia Roberts or Roxxxie. I think they have a good shot of it too.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
:: Steve Awesome is a jerk...
:: So speaking of Steve... are him and Rob Diamond really a team? The Enemy of my Enemy is my friend sorta thing?
:: Seriously now... Desiree got “Zelda” stitched into her back. Girl is a fruit cake.
:: I really hate Joe Everyman sometimes... why doesn't he ever win when I pick him to win?
:: I think it's because he's a retard.
:: Sorry, I didn't mean to offend all you mentally handicapped readers.... Paul Star.
:: So Falcon isn't done with Velez yet huh? And Alex Jones is saying Velez is his.... this should be interesting.
:: I still can't believe the side of Jack Manson we saw this weekend.. it was scary.
:: I personally can't wait to see Paul Star and Rob Diamond this week... should be a huge X match for sure.
Well fans, that's all I've got for you today, I hope you enjoyed it and until next time...
