So that is how you are going to play it. After all the years, after all the close moments after I carried your ass to a tag team championship when you pulled Joe Everyman after Joe Everyman? When I carried the Revolution on my back? I expected more, but I guess that you truly are exactly what you initially called yourself, the Raptor, and when I first faced the Raptor I probably should have been arrested for rape, because that is what I did to you.
Well, maybe not rape because you can’t rape the willing.
Adam you don’t judge a man by the greatest moments of his life you judge him with how he faces adversity and responds. You of all people should know that. Remember in nMw when you were too cool to show up for your weekly engagements and only gave a **** when your title was on the line? Someone had to change that, and someone had to fix it. I did that. I made you appreciate the wonderful things you had been given and I made you care again. I took your little apathetic prom queen attitude and shoved it so far down your throat it exited your ass without so much as a grunt and push.
I made you better Adam. You were not a king before you met me, you were merely a prince.
And taking credit for my fall? I wasn’t even fighting against you at that time. We were actually a team, then for some magical genius moment in booking we were placed against each other in a cell block six match that never happened because the fed closed. That is what sent me spiraling. After you left I found my way to another world title run, so Adam taking credit for that would be like Todd Williams taking credit for creating fried chicken and kool-aid or Brad Kane taking credit for creating the text message penis. They just are just figments of your imagination created for the sole purpose of getting yourself over.
You want to know why I ended up on the street?
You want to know why my fortune was taken from me?
You should’ve been a friend back then and asked me, but you were too busy getting yourself over, pushing yourself to the top at everyone else's expense because that is what it has always been about for you Adam, being on top and staying on top no matter the cost.
Every great superstar has a person from the next generation that they helped shape, and I thought for sure you were that man. I gave you the rub years ago, and it wasn’t the type of rub that Kelly gives in the asian massage parlor for an extra ten bucks. I put you over and this is how you look back. I considered you a brother, I considered you a friend.
I considered Kelly a little sister, but to look at how she talks about my misfortunes the way she did. I hope you and her understand that now you are both dead to me. I am done. I gave you the greatest gift a veteran superstar can give, I have helped Kelly through hard times and your lack of gratitude is repugnant.
I promise that this week you will get what is coming to you. You think I am irrelevant? That I can’t draw anymore? I have wrestled two matches this year and both have been main events. And why?
Because I care about this business. I give back to this business. I don’t take and take and take until all the juice has been squeezed from the orange only to find another orange down the road. I am reliable, dependent and loyal.
Those are things I wanted to instill in you Adam. But you are such a self serving ****face that all the time I spent with you was wasted.
Adam, bring your knee brace. I am going to finish that knee off.
I thought this was going to be a friendly display.
I shouldn’t known better.
{Scene opens to Gib’s training facility, you see Gib riding on a stationary cycle and watching a television mounted on the wall. You see Gib getting nailed with Knites of the Round and getting pinned. Adam and Gib stand in the center of the ring and shake hands after the match. Xander walks down the stairs}
Xander: You all right man?
{Gib punches a couple buttons on the bike and starts to pedal faster.}
Xander: Dude. they didn’t mean those things they were just saying it to build this match up.
{Gib’s face is solemn, almost eerie. When he responds his voice is monotone}
Gib: There was no need to build it up. This match is going to be everything our first match was and more. You don’t need gimmicks, or build up for a match to mean something. You need two men that care more about the business then their own personal gain to do that. I thought more of him.
Xander: Dude.. You are taking this too seriously....
{Gib screams loudly, catching his son off guard}
Gib: No... This is our lives. This is what we work, sweat and bleed for. There is no such thing as too seriously. If you care about something, be it a woman, be it a friend, be it a business you give your all to that and you respect it. You don’t piss all over it, you don’t make it something it doesn’t need to be.
Xander: What the **** has gotten into you man?
Gib: Kelly man, it was Kelly. Adam is playing a game, he is doing his part but I never in my life thought that she would act like that, I never thought that she would say those things. I thought she was above this business but now I see her for what she really is. She is just like every other selfish wrestling princess born with a silver spoon in her mouth
{He jumps off the bike and starts to walk away}
Xander: What are you going to do dad?
Gib: I am going to do what I should’ve done a long time ago, instead of helping him I am going to finish him. I am going to euthanize Adam Knite, I am going to tear him apart piece by piece and then display them for his wife to look at.
{Xander looks concerned, Gib’s face covers with a brutality you haven’t seen since he wore the mask}
Gib: If Adam wanted a story, and he wanted something special, I will give him something special, I will give him something for the record books...
Xander: Dad...
Gib: I will give him his last match ever.
{Gib storms through a door and up the stairs, Xander shakes his head and the scene fades. We are brought to the middle of the desert, a silver mobile home sits with nothing surrounding it. Gib stands outside of it looking.}
Adam... You want to bring up the past. You want to remind the world of my lows? You forgot this. After I made it from the depths I had to make steps, I had to crawl from the bowels of this earth, clawing and tearing to gain ground. I did a lot of things to a lot of people. I changed Bates, made Awesome respect his family, sent MGK to his early retirement, beat tag teams in such a fashion that they left the nCw.
I was a gatekeeper, and I scraped and saved. I bought this piece of **** and dropped it on this piece of land that I literally won in a poker game. I fought and remade myself. I became world champion again at the age of 49 and took some of the very best to their limits.
{He enters the home, empty alcohol bottles litter the floor. You feel dirt just watching this}
Did you forget about that Adam? The alcohol? The bad relationship with my family? Go ahead Adam, mock them, poke fun. I don’t care. I have already been lower then any man could ever go. I have already felt what it is like to be at the very bottom of society. I have faced the biggest challenges a person could ever face in my life.
And now I hold a job as Sheriff as nCw, now I have a wonderful relationship with my daughter and my son. I have made it back. Mock away Adam, because I have lived my life and I have lived it with every single emotion to its fullest.
And I can hold my head up at night....
{Scene changes and Gib sits with Zelda, she looks at him, concern covering her face}
Zelda: Xander is worried Dad. He is afraid you are going to do something extreme...
{Gib pats his daughter on the back and smiles looking down at her.}
Gib: No, nothing extreme dear...
Zelda: Good because...
Gib: I am just going to make it so you only have one sibling.
{She looks at her Dad and Gib turns, emotionless as he leaves the room and the scene fades for good}
