Spike TV Season 1 Episode 2: Competition
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This little column here is working so great for me, because it gives me a chance to still have some kind of input around here. It allows me to stay passionate about a company I have worked so damn hard for, and a company has given so much back to me. I've seen a lot of people come through the doors of this company, and a lot of them haven't been able to cut it either so when I see people come in and work there asses off, it makes things so much sweeter. It makes you feel better because you know that there are people out there who can cut it, and people out there who will go the extra mile to be the next big thing. Right now nCw has a couple of people on the cusp of becoming something pretty big, most notable are Todd Williams, Lex Sense, and Roberto Verona.....but you didn't need me to tell you that, and this isn't a stab at the names I didn't mention either, all it means is that people are working hard and making this federation great by providing the competition required to thrive.
Keep it up guys.
~Best Match~[/u]
Kelly Knite Vs Shelley Taylor Jones – The two put on a clinic last time for the Starlets world championship, so it was only a matter of time before they both did it again. Kelly is kicking ass at the top of the mountain and Shelley tried to knock the current owner of nCw from there, but Kelly proved that she is more than just a desk jockey and proved to the world that she can handle anything that comes her way.
~Worst Match~
Andrew Jacobsen and Ricky Johnson vs. Joe Everyman and Cardboard Vertigo Dirtmurder – This joke isn't funny, it wasn't funny to begin with and this was a complete and utter waste of some upper mid-card talent, people who should be breaking into the Main Event and not floundering around in pointless matches.[/color]
~High Points~[/u]
New Honor Champion! Not the best way to become one, but hey it means that Boring Carvetti is off my TV screen for at least the next few weeks. Looks like things between Evans and Laszlo could come to a head though, which is just awesome.
Hammond and Jones, it was a good match and great viewing for me. Seeing an old friend back on winning ways and a newer friend back in the business.
The Heirarchy got off to a great winning start with a brilliant victory over Todd and his sister....who, is in love with Xander? Oh, I don't care, I hate anyone with the surname “Williams” so I couldn't care less about Jennifer, Toddy-kins, or Crystal. I hope Xander and Zelda crush them all.......even if Xander would crush Jennifer Gibby style.....
JACK HAMMOND! AGAIN!
~Low Points~[/u]
The Internationals not just taking up my TV time, but ruining the tag team titles? I can't believe Kelly is letting this stand.
Trent Helms getting involved with the new X Champion Gjenrei. I'm not sure who is under that mask and what Trent Helms has against them, but Trent is seriously on some kind of quest or mission because it's not often that he gets so wrapped up in something.......despite his quest to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, of course.
Crystal being on my TV........no, just no.
My version of the fab five. The five people who stood out this last week.
5: KELLY KNITE: The boss would normally be higher on the list if not for great showing by some top talent on an absolutely amazing weekend of wrestling. She put on a great match and led by example, walking out with her championship like a BAWS!
4: XANDER FAMULARO: The World Champion continuing his amazing streak through nCw crushing the number one contender and knocking him off of his high perch. The Riot winner got a brief taste of what Xander has to offer at Metamorphosis.
3: ZELDA KNITE: I'm just happy to see Zelda back in nCw. It's weird seeing her around and not seeing Rob Diamond at the same time, but she returns and is right into the main event, that is star power boys.
2: MIKE LASZLO: OK, he didn't win the Honor Title in the best of ways, but he is the new Honor Champion regardless and worked hard enough to get to that chance in the first place.
1: GJENREI: Two time X Champion mofo's! Seems like Trent has an issue with that fact however, and who knows what is in store?
(Note: Draws of any kind do not count either way)
Last Week: 10 - 1
Total: 10 - 1
Dayum! That is one hell of a start, and I'm quite proud of it to be honest. Seems like taking over from Kelly really was taking over with a brilliant start on this whole predicting thing.
TRAUMA
Charles Lee v. Matt Jackson
Adam Knite & Nathan Webb v. Jimmy Zane & The Ace
Jasmine Barrera v. Rose Acanda
The Internationals v. Mike Laszlo & Jason Evans
------------------------------------------------------------------
COLLISION
Curtis D. Kanyon v. Doc – Got to go with my boy here.
Fatal Fourway
Alex Jones v. Jackhammer v. Jimmy Novak v. Andrew Jacobsen
Non-Title Tag Team Match
Amy Marshall & Kathleen Conway v. Mercedes Lewis & Ashlie
Triple Threat Match
Crystal Hilton v. Shelley Taylor Jones v. Ayla St. James
Riot! Runner Up Showcase
Ricky Johnson v. Lex Sense v. Roberto Verona
Main Event
Tag Team Match
Trent Helms & Xander Famularo v. Todd Williams & Gjenrei
The Hierarchy got off to a great start in the Main Event of Collision, and retaining the Starlets Championship. Things are looking up for this group, and it's going to be interesting seeing how Trent interacts with the masked man and the people he thought were his friends.
Zane and Ace on the same team? ….are they trying to bore me to death?
The triple threat and the fatal fourway are clearly the standout matches to watch this week. The triple threat has the last three bar Trent and Todd from the Riot, and these three men must clearly be jostling to be next in line for a world title shot.
Well, thanks for checking in again guys, enjoy another weekend of great wrestling and I'll see you right back here next week!
