Spike TV Season 1 Episode 6: The Fallout
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Metamorphosis is in the books and after an outstanding pay per view we've seen some shifts in nCw, but more importantly....we've seen some things stay the same!
What will the outcome of the Xander/Todd match truly be when Kelly announces it this week?
nCw World Heavyweight Championship
Xander Famularo © Vs Todd Williams– I personally don't give a rats ass what anybody thinks of these two either together or individually, at Metamorphosis they both showed the world what they were capable of and how much the world heavyweight title means to them. It takes a lot for me to say that Todd Williams impressed me, and he most certainly impressed Xander too. Kudos to both men, for setting the damn standard.
Andrew Jacobsen Vs Doc– This was just a shame that it sucked so bad because it had potential to steal the show, quite easily too I might add. People were more hyped about seeing two bright young talents trying to climb the ranks than Alex Jones trying to pander to his ego by picking a fight with someone way out of his league. Such a shame boys.....such a shame.
Todd Williams isn't the World Heavyweight Champion! That's fifty bucks a certain someone owes me!
Mike Laszlo retains and brings even more honor and prestige to that wonderful championship.
Kelly and Ayla putting on a masterclass not just for the starlets to take notice of, but the entire roster!
Ricky Johnson continues to have an impressive nCw career without the drama that so many others have. Kudos Ricky, you continue to be an example.
Alex got knocked back down to his level by none other than THE KING!
Lex AND Jimmy, the Young Bloods are the new number one contenders!?!?!?!
Todd Williams isn't the World Heavyweight Champion, mwuahahahaha!
Joe Everyman once again, you know what Joe? I'll just leave this space for you.
My starlets tag pick letting me down. Damn you women!
Trent Helms ruining what should have been an amazing match between four top nCw talents.....poor Roberto.
My version of the fab five. The five people who stood out this last week.
5: LEX SENSE & JIMMY ZANE: Not the best way to become number one contender for the world title, but you can't take that fact away from both of these men. They are both in line for a world title shot, and that doesn't happen by fluke. Well done guys.
4: THE ACE: Finally it seems the matter between Ace and Webb is over, but not before Jake got the last word in a match that certainly raised a few eyebrows, the thing we all have to ask now is, what is next for the wheeling and dealing Ace?
3: RICKY JOHNSON After failing to win the big one Ricky moved on and went about his business and since then has been a dominating National Champion, defending against a hostile and unpredictable foe is a remarkable achievement.
2: TODD WILLIAMSHe didn't win that big match, but boy did he come close. In a match that ended in controvasy Todd can still keep his head up high, he did what not many others could do, he took it to Xander. He also performed better than I have in singles competition against any Famularo.
1: KELLY KNITE: Retaining the Starlets title in what I feel was the second best match of the night and one of the best matches so far this year. An outstanding showing from the Boss Lady, and I'm not just kissing ass, Kelly showed us why she is where she is in life today, first hand.
(Note: Draws of any kind do not count either way)
Last Week: 9 - 1
Total: 37-13
Due to Xander and Todds match ending in a draw, only one match predicted incorrectly this week, and that is because I put my trust in a porn star and someone as low enough to sleep with The Ace!
Q. What made you come back to nCw?
Honestly, this is the place I feel I need to be to prove that I can make it at the top of this industry, to prove to the naysayers that I have grown up, and I'm ready to take the world by storm.
Q. Given your past run as the first Honor Champion, do you feel there is a lot of pressure on you?
There is always a lot of pressure on you to perform in this business, and not just to a satisfactory level, you have to excel and go beyond what they are expecting of you. I know that I had a short but impressive run in ncw as the Honor Champion, and if that is the direction the higher up's want me to go in, then I'll give it my all and try my hardest to be better than last time.
Q. How do you prepare for your matches?
Well, being trained by you certainly had it's ups and downs, but the pre-match ritual was always my own doing. I like to almost meditate in my room while I strech out to try and prevent any snap kinda injuries, I listen to some music and get myself pumped up, but I always make sure my partner knows exactly what kind of spots we'll be doing in the ring. I don't want to be jumping over the top rope to find out he's not going to catch me!
Q. What was the weirdest part of your training?
Babysitting Xander. Seriously, he wouldn't stop crying. I tried feeding him, pushing him in his pram, rocking him in his chair, reading to him, singing to him.....nothing worked. Until I did the one thing no man ever wants to do....I changed his diaper. And seriously? What does that have to do with wrestling!?
Q. Well, it teaches you that sometimes you have to do what you don't want to, to succed! Ha! Also, how to get a babysitter for free. Ok then Wade, time for some Word Association!
Word Association:
nCw.
Home of the elite
Mike Laszlo.
A good champion
Ricky Johnson.
The bane of my existence
Roberto Verona.
A good guy with a good cause.
Xander Famularo.
A scary dude.
The Honor Championship.
A symbol of everything that is good about this business.
And finally...
Spike Kane.
My mentor, trainer....deep down you're a good guy Spike, but....you'll always be remembered as the nastiest motherlover in the nCw Hall of Fame!
Erm.....thanks, I guess? Well it's good to see you back here Wade, and I wish you the best of luck.
Thank you, for everything.
So Nero AND Atreyu return at the same time? Coincidence? Maybe, but who knows?
I predicted both world champions to defend, and they did. My predictions are doing pretty damn well.
The fallout from Metamorphosis starts tomorrow night on Trauma, I just wonder though, what the hell is going to happen with the World Heavyweight Title situation, especially with TWO number one contenders!? Oh man, it's a headache, but i'm glad it's not mine!
Tune in to Trauma and Collision this week to find out folks! See you next week, right here, on Spike TV!
