Thanksgiving is getting closer. I like that idea. I love this time of year. I don't really have much to do with my family outside of my mama but that's fine. I honestly prefer it that way. I'd rather spend time with those closer to me then those who act phony. I look around the room right now. Freya and I have decided that, well, today is the day for what we have done lately. No, she's not pregnant. In Freya's arms is a newborn baby boy. My son. Our son.
See, Freya can't carry a child. We were lucky we got Tasha. So we found someone to be a surrogate for us. A couple of weeks back she gave birth to Dexter James Davis IV. My majestic little man. Just seeing Freya cradle him is makin' me tear up. Every man really wants a son, I believe, and to see the little guy is just something else. Mama sits next to me as Tasha plays with her blocks.
Cecilia: So why didn't y'all tell me about him until now? I mean keeping him a secret for a few days while I was here is an accomplishment.
Dex: We were trying to wait until Thanksgiving with everyone else but I just couldn't do it anymore. I wanted you to see your first grandson.
That puts a smile on my mama's face. She's wanted to hear those words for quite sometime now and it just made her day, I think.
Cecilia: I'm so glad you're keeping up the Dexter James name. I really am. I know he wasn't your real father...
Dex: Stop, please.
Cecilia: Just makes me happy to see you honor him, and yourself, by doing that. Makes me so proud of you. Not to say that I wasn't beforehand.
I chuckle as Freya is so wrapped up in lil' Dexter that she's completely oblivious to the world around her. That's completely fine. Family is more important this time of year then anything else, really. The warmth and love that people give one another is so important. I wouldn't trade today, or any other day, for the riches of Bill Gates.

"So last week I won the triple threat like I thought I might.
Both Stephen and Xavier gave a great effort.
My hats go off to them.
This week I wrestle on Saturday night.
Against a very good opponent.
Nathan Webb.
Welcome back.
I think anyways?
Seems that lately you've been at odds with Adam Knite.
Or something to that effect.
I wish you well in whatever you might be doing.
Tomorrow night is a great chance for you to make an impact.
A big impact.
Pinning...
Or making me submit...
Might put you in line for an X Title shot.
I honestly have no idea what I'm doing right now to make myself a good champion.
Just putting my best foot forward.
That's all I can do.
But Nathan...
I am pretty determined to do my best this week.
I got another child to wrestle for.
To make money for.
To secure their future.
In eighteen years I want to see him go to college.
For something other than sports if he choses.
Nothing to do with you Nathan.
But you are just another guy to wrestle.
Good luck in whatever you happen to do here, again.
And I don't mean that sarcastically.
Have a great day.
I know I will."
