Last time, Jasmine and then-world champion Andrew Jacobsen lost a tough match to Gib and Kris Titian. It's been some time since Jazz has stepped into a ring and she'll be returning to the ring Saturday to take on Rose Acantha. Can Jazz handle sucha long layoff? Also, Billy Riggs offered Jasmine a job which she accepted, apparently turning her back on the Circle and severing their bond. But is that really the case? Has Jazz really cut herself out of the Circle for good?
Well, at least I'm back on television. Not that I really missed it, with all the stuff I've been doing. A girl's got to keep busy these days. But, with all the stuff going down, it's nice to be back in the ring. As infrequent as it is....
It's just been a huge weight off my shoulders, working for Billy. He's been so nice and so generous. And he hasn't really expected anything in return. It all just seems a little too good to be true. At times, I get caught up with what I'm doing, and I seem to forget that he was the one who did this for me. It's because of him, I'm free of the Circle. I wonder how they're doing some times. Some of those people are my friends. I hate to do that to them, but this, in my mind was best for everybody.
Having had the time to really get everything in order was really valuable to me. I want to thank NCW for not firing me for asking for some time off. But now, I'm ready to get back into the ring.
My opponent changed this week, at first, I thought I was going against Kathy Conway, but instead I get Rose Acantha. And...I'm actually really happy about it. I think this is the perfect time for me to really get back into the swing of things. I've started fresh outside of the ring, and now, It's time to really start fresh inside of it.
Rose, you were my first opponent. The first NCW starlet I faced one on one. And It was a valuable learning experience. While I figured I should just be able to walk all over you, you proved me and my expectations wrong. You took from me, something I couldn't get back: that first win. It took beating current starlets champion to get my first win. It should have started with you. But for some, unknown reason, I seem to have so much trouble defeating you. Why that is, I don't know.
But now Rose, I get a chance to rectify that situation. I get a chance to right that wrong. To start all over again. Knowing what I know now, I fully expect to defeat you in the ring come Trauma. I fully expect to walk into that ring, and beat you in the middle of it. Because for me, it's all begun again. It's like I'm a rookie all over again. I get the opportunity to do it all over again. To show the NCW fans that I'm not just a pushover who fails time and time again. That I deserve, much like everyone else, a chance to dance with the champion. I mean, I'm only one who seems to be able to beat her.
But it all starts with you Rose. I have to beat you. And so, I'm going to make it so on Trauma. I need you to be just as crazy, just as unhinged, just as unpredictable as you were then. I want to re-create history and change that ugly loss I took. I need to start over again. It feels good to get a second chance.
I intend to make the most of it.

It's a moment of truth. Jazz knew this day would come. Hector has arrived to speak with her...
He knocks and she answers.
She throws her arms up after a moment of silence.
Jazz:
Are we going to talk or not?
Hector:
Always to the point.
Jazz:
Always.
Hector:
What's been going on, Lil' Jazz?
Jazz:
I've made a business choice.
Hector:
So...you're leaving us?
Jazz:
It's not like that, and you know it.
Hector:
So, what is it then?
Jazz:
I've been working for you, without anyone else in the group knowing. I know Rodney wants me gone. Now, I don't have to keep looking over my shoulder every time I want to make some money.
Hector:
You know we're family, Jazz.
Jazz:
Familia? Really? I know there's a price on my head. And you guys have been put in danger even talking to me. This is for the best Hector. No more secrets. No more games.
Hector:
That's how you feel? That's how you repay me?
Jazz:
I'm not doing it to hurt you. You know that.
Hector:
It's too late now. Now you're some big shot in a big ol' house and ****? Uh-uh Chica, You already cut me deep.
Jazz:
I'm...I'm sorry Hector.
Hector:
Sorry? It's too late for that now.
Jazz:
So...what now?
Hector:
Psss... Now? Now you're the competitor. We'll see how it goes. But now, we're done. As far as I go, you're out.
Jazz:
If that's how you feel.
Hector:
Damn right.
Jazz:
Then we're done.
Hector:
Yeah, we're done.
With that, he leaves. She closes the door behind him and watches him leave.
And just like that, I'm out. Formally out. In a lot of ways, it's really sad. I loved those people like my brothers and sisters. I want them to do well, live well. We grew up together. They raised me, they gave me my break. They cared when so many others didn't.
And now, they're gone. Now, they're the enemy.
It sounds harsh to say, but...dammit, it's the truth. Now, it's time to move on and put this plan into motion and get back to where I belong.
The top.
And that starts with beating Rose Acantha.
