The scene opens on Chad Lights sitting in a chair, looking at the camera.
Chad: Hello NCW faithful, Chad Lights here, and today, I'm talking with a man looking for redemption, former tag team champion, El Dragon de Valor. Hi there Dragon.
Dragon: A pleasure to see you again Chad. I know Bushido and I gave you some hard times back in the day, so first things first, I wish to apologize.
Chad: It's okay Dragon, I've met many interesting people in my career, and interviewed a lot of bad apples, but thank you. We're not here to talk about the past though, we're here for the present. How are you doing?
Dragon: I'm okay. I'm taking things slow you know. I'm over six months sober now, thankfully. But I was worried coming back, this life, these surroundings, this is where I drank the most. This is the environmemt that caused my downfall. But wrestling is my life, and it can also do so many great things, so I've come back to reclaim my life for me.
Chad: and how has that been going?
Dragon: Well as you know Chad, I've had one match back so far, with Clint Renner. The rush, the energy from the crowd, the athleticism, it was like, how you say, riding a bike. But when it wad over and I went back behind that curtain, my first thought was to celebrate with a drink. I did not of course, but the temptation was also right back at the forefront of my mind. I left the arena and stayed in my hotel all night, unable to sleep. Hungering for a drink. The demons haunted me again Chad, and I felt tormented. But I realized, I was here for a fresh start, to renew my career and do everything right this time. So I went to Kelly, and I asked to start from the bottom. Since we had bad blood from before, she was more than happy to oblige.
Chad: Yeah, I've noticed you backstage at every show, but you haven't wrestled since that one match.
Dragon: When I said the bottom, I meant the very bottom. I've been setting up and taking down the ring every show, I've been helping the merch people, I've been doing some drills with other wrestlers before the show starts.
As Dragon is talking of these things, a video package is shown of him doing just that before cutting back to the interview.
Dragon: And now, after a month, it seems that I have been deemed worthy to step back in the ring.
Chad: Yes, this Saturday on Trauma, you face Stephen Kingsley and Caleb Lockwood in a triple threat. Not an easy task.
Dragon: Yes, I was taking things slow, and now it seems I am being pushed in the deep end. I know both of these men, I have faced the, before, but a long time has passed since then. Kingsley is a new man with a new sense if direction and a more vicious streak. He wad already dangerous, but now even more so. And Caleb with his new sense of self worth. He just recently beat a former world champion, why wouldn't he? This is truly a tough challenge Chad. But how can I know if I'm read if I don't face such challenges. I'm going to go out there...and I'm going to give it my all. I'm going to lay it all out there and fight for my redemption. I'll fly all over that ring if that's what it takes. I'll jump from all four corners, I'll fight until my last breath. Because I shamed the wrestling world, and I have a lot to make up for. I still feel truly bad for what I did to this business, to my legacy, and worst of all, to my partner. I must atone and I must set things right. The road to redemption continues this Saturday.
Chad: Speaking of Bushido, how is he?
Dragon: He's still got a long road back, but he's healing. He's getting better.
Chad: That's good to hear. Thank you for your time Dragon.
Dragon: No problemo my amigo.
