Story by Kevin Kelley During the weeks leading up to the final show of New Championship Wrestling, NCW.com has been running an online series chronicling the top 50 greatest wrestlers in NCW history. Naturally there have been some rankings that have raised eyebrows (Will Washington at 43? Ron Gibson nearly missing the list?), but one ranking has sent the internet into an uproar. That ranking being, Joe Everyman in the thirtieth slot. Joe Everyman, long-time NCW wrestler and sometimes winner, has been with the company since the formative years, and for him to be ranked so low has sent bloggers and wrestlers alike into an uproar. The former Current NCW Wrestler, Will Washington, recently took to Twitter to voice his frustrations on the matter. Tweeting among other things: "Was the guy making the last (list) of NCW's Top 50 super drunk when he made it? Because it is bullllllcrap. #NCW #Injustice #EverymanIsBetter", "I mean... I dislike the guy as much as anyone, but Everyman is NCW. Has been for years. #AndIm43rdQuestionMark", and "He's a Top 15 guy at least." Others have voiced their opinion on the subject, but some comments were not fit to print. One can only wonder what was going on when this decision was made, and who will find themselves in the Top 20. Can a case for Thunderkid be made for the number one slot? Find out in the coming weeks. Credited to: www.rasslinnewz.com{I was pretty baffled by the ranking, but this is mainly meant as a joke.}

OOC: The list clearly adds a lot of value to title runs... so lets look at it like we have had 22 different world champions first ok? So who of the World champions would you put Joe Everyman ahead of? Xavier Williams, Jack Hammond, Todd Williams, Andrew Jacobsen, Curtis Kanyon?
Xavier Williams: 4x X Division champion (The most singles title runs from any single belt) and also a world title? Andrew Jacobsen: 2x X Division, a triple crowner....? Only one title away from a Grand Slam. Todd Williams: He has less title victories, but he does have a Riot victory so there is a case that his limited time as a top draw in NCW could be more memorable, but I'll give this one to you, despite the fact Todd cleanly and clearly beat Joe Everyman on NCW ppv's. Curtis Kanyon: Has been in the company forever as well and is one title away from a Grand Slam and Triple Crown? Jack Hammond: Doesn't have the same number of championships, hasn't been around very much in the past three years but was a highly popular wrestler... but I will succeed this one, even though he too has beaten Joe Everyman before.
So there are 20-21 people already above Joe Everyman. Now lets add a few names of people who never won the World title but had great significance to NCW's history. Lets take Davey Ortega, a man who helped build NCW into what it is today a man who may not have wont he belt but had some amazing matches for it and helped shape NCW into what it is today. The same that could be said about Alex Jones who has had several title victories but has just come up short in the limited amount of times he's been given title shots. Maybe Joe Everyman could be considered better than him? I don't think Joe Everyman has ever had an angle that has been widely praised like the series of fights between Jones and Angel or Jones and Adam Knite/Revolution. Then you take Xavier Cross who has only won one less National title and also has an Xtreme championship, you could make the claim that his angles and victories (several victories over former World Chapions Adam Knite and The Ace in title matches) could push him above Joe Everyman, plus his victories are much more recent. You have Mike Laszlo who was the first person to hold two belts at one time and recently had an amazing feud against Roberto Verona. YOu have JackHammer who pretty recently defeated Joe Everyman for the vacant X title and has beaten Joe Everyman for the National title. Sexy Jason who has 3 Xtreme championships and a National title. Freakke the Clown who has 2 X-Divisions and a National title.... all of which came after Joe Everyman's last title victory.
Lets all remember the last title victory for Joe Everyman was well over 3 years ago. Maybe you want to point out that he's been in more NCW matches than anybody else... then I might want to point out that he's lost well over 150 of those matches. He once went like 30 matches in a row... WITHOUT a victory.
So that's what? 27-28 people who you could make a legit case for to be over Joe Everyman? Now lets look at some more... we have Jimmy Zane who had many memorable moments in NCW and may not have had the 3 National Titles but one could clearly make the argument was the better "wrestler" if we're doing this in character. KLB, Venom, Lex Sense.... all men who have had a ton of success in NCW for shorter periods of time but made memorable marks on the company.
So what are we complaining about here? So what exactly is the problem? If you want Joe Everyman higher, then make your own list because if you want a list from the ONLY person who has been with NCW for EVERY week since the fed started you'd find Joe Everyman would be much lower on that one.
The list is in character, he's applying Joe Everyman's career to other wrestlers and losing 150+ matches in your career doesn't leave a huge mark on people even with three single title runs. Or if you like... I'll take the list out of character and point out that Everyman's Xtreme title victory was because Dr. Pepper quit the fed and we needed a new champion so we made it an Xtreme championship match... or I can point out his first National title was because Jack Manson agreed to vacate the belt because he wanted to face off for the World title. Or maybe point out his last title victory was because Corvis quit the company so we had a cluster for the belt where I believe Sam was the only person to max RP for the match.
No offence to Sam, I love Sam and think he deserves to be recognized for his loyalty and faithfulness to NCW... however this is a ridiculous thing to complain about, because there are valid and concise reasonings listed for why each person was picked where they were on that list.
Now drop it.
