Alright, so I am going to steal this idea from Johnson who stole it from Kevin Kelly...if there are three more people that would like to play the game that is already playing once on this board, please step up and play. Here are the rules that Johnson laid out.
This is the game.
Three guys play the role of General Manager, One for Raw, Smackdown and ECW each.
This plays like the NFL draft, you each pick 20 wrestlers.
GM Perks:
- Trading Picks and/or wrestlers for a pick or another wrestler. (IE: Raw trades #1 pick for Smackdown's second, erasing Smackdowns second round pick. or Raw trades #1 pick for C.M. Punk)
- Selecting 5 "keepers" (Keepers are wrestlers that cannot be traded or picked by the other shows) ( IE:If RAW GM selects Randy Orton as a keeper, Orton cannot be selected by Smackdown or ECW.)
- Selecting 2 "indy" wrestlers out of the current Indy scene (TNA is considered a full fledged promotion, so TNA wrestlers are off-limits)
Settings: RAW: has WWE Title, Intercontinental title, Women's title Smackdown has: World Heavyweight title, United States title, Cruiserweight title ECW has : ECW Title
Tag titles are unified, so will say Morrison and Miz are overall the champs, because Holly/Rhodes haven't defended their belts in 4 months.
We are going with the current WWE roster, and current champions, so if Raw selects Matt Hardy, who is currently the WWE U.S. champion, Matt would be Raw, but the U.S. title will stay on Smackdown.
on the same subject, current champions DO NOT have to be keepers. run it at your own risk.
Rules:
- #1 pick will be decided by number game. (pick a number between number 1-10) closest to desired number gets the first pick, next closest gets the 2nd pick and so on.
- Trades can be managed via PM or just replys.
- Divas are locked on Raw (except at "non-wrestling" divas, such as Maria, Kelly Kelly, Layla, ect.)
- William Regal is an useable wrestler
... Anybody game?
if you are just reply with the brand of your choosing and the number between on and ten.

The Number was 9. So the order of picking will be
Johnson - Smackdown Jacobs - ECW Sampson - RAW
Please select your five keepers now.
Because I work and such, I am going to do it a bit different than Johnson. I am going to analyze after every round just like Johnson has been doing, but after each round of selections is over, I am going to ask that you kindly wait to start the next round until I do the grading on the previous round.
Thanks guys.

So, the first stage of the WWE Draft was in a few days ago, as the three brand made their decisions on who they would list as "keepers" from their original roster. We will now take a look at who was kept, and grade from our standpoint on who did well and who did not so well with what they decided to make undraftable.
Smackdown[/u] Smackdown got their votes in quickly on who they planned to keep on their roster and make unavailable to the other shows. They listed The Undertaker, Edge, Batista, MVP and Rey Mysterio as their keepers. There really were no surprises here on the blue brand as they kept arguably their top five names on the brand as far as marketability go, but the argument can also be made that Smackdown has always been known as the "better wrestling" show, and they kept two wrestlers on the roster, Undertaker and Batista that many would consider to be contradictory to that general sentiment.
Keeper Grade: B-
ECW[/u] ECW has the most to gain of course heading into this draft as they have a roster that is thinned out compared to the other two brand, and now has the chance to gain some established stars rather than focus on the possible future entirely. With that said ECW held onto ECW Original Tommy Dreamer as well as The Miz, John Morrison, Kane and Kofi Kingston. Again, the general sentiment is that ECW has the most to gain and the least to lose, so by keeping the tag team champions and the world champion as well as up and comer Kingston, and a man with a great wrestling mind in Dreamer, ECW seemed to have the right mindset heading into the draft.
Keeper Grade: A-
RAW RAW of course has the greatest talent pool to lose in this draft, and being well aware of this, they made their selections heading into the draft. RAW decided to hold onto many established stars in Randy Orton, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, JBL and Chris Jericho. For the RAW brand it is quite clear from where I sis that they could not have started this thing off much better than they did. Though it is quite clear they they will likely come out worse for the wear in the end.
Keeper Grade: A
Keeper Awards[/u] "Didn't see that coming" Award: ECW decides to keep Tommy Dreamer.
"What were they thinking?" Award: ECW keeping Dreamer
"Couldn't have been better" Award: MVP (Smackdown)
"Could have been better Award": Tommy Dreamer (ECW)
"We won that round" Award: RAW

A typo has happened. When Raw announced it's draft pick it stated that they pick Batista when currently The Animal has already been kept by Smackdown. So to correct the mistake the Raw brand would like to mention that they meant to say......

Now that the first round is over, we need to take a look at who the big winners and big losers were this round. Let's analyze the picks.
Smackdown Smackdown reached a little bit past some already created stars and went with a man that many believe is the future of this company, this fact however is debatable and often is debated. Their selection of course was Ken Kennedy. Kennedy was a fast rising star on Smackdown but since finding himself in drug trouble and jobbing to the likes of Super Crazy, many wonder if he has fallen from grace.
ECW With another reach, and picking a man that has been in similar drug struggles as Kennedy, Jeff Hardy was selected first by the ECW brand as they chose to ignore his past troubles and bring in a man that could easily "extreme" things up for this brand and bring back some fond memories of the old ecw that has been long dead and buried.
RAW John Cena was selected by the red brand, originally he was left unprotected but RAW saw the chance to keep a star that while not loved by all is established and beefs up the main event scene even more for Monday Night RAW. A great selection by RAW who keeps a talent that they could have lost.
Round 1 Awards "Didn't see that coming" Award: Ken Kennedy chosen first overall.
"What were they thinking?" Award: ECW takes Jeff Hardy with the second pick.
"Couldn't have been better" Award: John Cena (RAW)
"Could have been better Award": Jeff Hardy (ECW)
"We won that round" Award: RAW

Now that the second round is over, we need to take a look at who the big winners and big losers were this round. Let's analyze the picks.
Smackdown With their second round pick, Smackdown took theonly man in wrestling history to be flowing with Mattitude, Matt Hardy. Now, there are a lot of wrestlers still up for grabs, but perhaps none with more potential than Matt Hardy has at this point in his career. Matt Hardy has overcome a lot in his career and could be ready for a World Title Push on the blue brand. Round 2 Grade - B+
ECW With their second pick Santino Marella was chosen by ECW. Now, this is a reach for sure for a brand that is trying to improve through this draft. With the amount of in ring talent that is available at this point in the draft, ECW chose a man thatis clearly one of thebest mic workers in the company, yet is knocked heavily for what he can do inside the ring. This was an odd choice for a brand that has only a one hour television show and is supposed to focus more on wrestling. Round 2 Grade - C
RAW Speaking of reaches, RAW reached around many leaders of the pack in this round and chose a man that was one of the center pieces of the Attitude ere in Stone Cold Steve Austin. In choosing Steve, the red brand select a man that many wrestling fans have grown sick of, a man that appears as though he will never wrestle again, and a man whose routine is the same every time that he is on television. Steve Austin, once a great commodity, now a decent side-show and a side show on RAW. Round 2 Grade - D
Round 1 Awards "Didn't see that coming" Award: Santino Marella chosen in the secnd round.
"What were they thinking?" Award: RAW takes in-ring retired Steve Austin ahead of wrestlers.
"Couldn't have been better" Award: Matt Hardy (Smackdown)
"Could have been better Award": Steve Austin (ECW)
"We won that round" Award: Smackdown
Rounds Won RAW - 2 Smackdown - 1

Now that the third round is over, we need to take a look at who the big winners and big losers were this round. Let's analyze the picks.
Smackdown The third round saw Smackdown hold onto the man that loves to fight...Fit Finlay. Fit is aging but still can go in the ring and can bring out some tough and tumble matches out of his opponents. Whether he has a main event push left in him is to be determined...and really an odd pick this early...but the selection none the less. Round 2 Grade - C
ECW With their second round pick ECW signed one of the men that is regarded as being the best wrestler not under contract for either of the big two, Nigel Mcguinness. This is a great pick for the rebuilding ECW and look for this to be a turning point perhaps for the brand. Round 2 Grade - B+
RAW Speaking of indy signings, RAW went out and signed Mr. monday Night Rob Van Dam to a new contract to come back to the red brand. Rob Van Dam was in the midst of the biggest push of his WWE career when he was busted for possession and never really given his spot back...now after leaving the ring for some time, one has to wonder whether he will be ready to go or if he will be as green as the pot he smokes upon return. Round 2 Grade - B
Round 1 Awards "Didn't see that coming" Award: Smackdown takes Finlay
"What were they thinking?" Award: Smackdown takes Finlay ahead of many others.
"Couldn't have been better" Award: Nigel (ECW)
"Could have been better Award": Finlay (Smackdown)
"We won that round" Award: ECW
Rounds Won RAW - 2 Smackdown - 1 ECW - 1

Now that the fourth round is over, we need to take a look at who the big winners and big losers were this round. Let's analyze the picks.
Smackdown Round four is in the books and we saw Smackdown bolster their tag team division by signing the longest tag team champions in their history...Londrick. These two are clearly two of the most under-rated wrestlers in the E right now, and due to their size it is questioned whether they will ever get the pushes that their skill sets deserve. The draft back to Smackdown where they thrived however is likely a move in the right direction. Round 4 Grade - B
ECW Following in Smackdown's footsteps again was ECW and they too started with their tag team division taking Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly, effectively taking the RAW Tag Team Champions. ECW is getting a superstar that was a solid mid-carder their earlier, and a young man that many feel will flourish as time goes by. Round 4 Grade - B
RAW Straying from the norm in this round of tag teams was RAW, who chose to select a man that can outweigh many tag teams, The Big Show. Show is the worlds largest athlete, and he will be a great addition to RAW's upper mid-card and main event. A great selection by the RAW roster. Round 2 Grade - B+
Round 1 Awards "Didn't see that coming" Award: ECW takes Rhodes and Holly
"What were they thinking?" Award: Nobody with a bad pick this round.
"Couldn't have been better" Award: Big Show (RAW)
"Could have been better Award": Rhodes and Holly (ECW)
"We won that round" Award: RAW
