Hello. I'm looking for some help from my fellow rpers. Basically over the last few years I've pretty much fallen out of the music scene. I used to listen to a lot of rock and underground/horror core rap music. However in recent years I've grown accustomed to my cd collection and haven't really added to it. Every now and again I down load something. So what I want is suggestions for new bands to check out. Preferably newer albums to pick up, as I don't really use my mp3 player that often. I'm going to name some of the bigger artists I like to give you an example of what I listen to.
My newest cds are Serj Tankian, Dope, and KillSwitch Engage. I also listen to Metallica, Slipknot, Korn, Ozzy, and Fear Factory.
That's some of my rock selections.
For rap I listen to Tech Nine, ICP, Cypress Hill, Rza or Wu Tang.
Now I am open to all suggestions. Also, if you know of a site where I can listen to tracks off the cds that'd be awesome too. Thank you for your help in getting an out of touch rebel back into the mix...

If I had to recommend only one band, and I know they're not exactly 'new', it'd have to be Muse. Since they started in 1999, they've moved from doing an alt-rock album in Showbiz, to a more prog rock and harder sound in Origin of Symmetry, to a truly bombastic and overblown album in Absolution, to the diverse sound they now carry with Black Holes and Revelations. I'd suggest just listening to a few select tracks from each album to get an idea of what they're like ('Muscle Museum' and 'Showbiz' from Showbiz, 'Newborn' and 'Plugin Baby' from Origin, 'Stockholm Syndrome' and 'Butterflies and Hurricanes' from Absolution, and 'Map of the Problematique' and 'Knights of Cydonia' from Black Holes) , and I strongly recommend them to anyone who likes good hard riffs, a bit of classical inspiration and some screaming falsetto thrown into the mix.
I also suggest some other Brit-Rock Bands in Feeder, Ash, The Darkness, Dirty Pretty Things, Franz Ferdinand, and Kasabian. I'm not the kind to listen to hip-hop, so I can't help on that front.

Now, I'm your resident rap listener, but I do know my rock as well.
One band in rock that is surprising is PILLAR. Don't know much about them, but Fireproof is beastly. Also, I really like Radio Head. And nobody can beat some mo'****ing AC/DC.
Rap is a varied bit. G-Unit and D-12 are favorites of mine, but don't over look Ice Cube and good ol' Tupac.
