This game....is ridiculous.
The game is divided up into 5 acts.
When first beginning this game, it has an 8 MINUTE load time. The game will install itself and it takes 8 minutes. anticipations a killer. Anyhoo,
Act 1 takes place in the middle east.
Act 2 in South America
Act 3 in Eastern Europe
Act 4 in Shadow Moses
Act 5 in Outer Haven.
I have not defeated the game yet, but I'm on act 5, which is the final act.
The first act is basically for new players, and those vets seeking to become adjusted to the games controls. Snake is now old, and in addition to a health bar, he has a "psyche" bar, which effects aiming, accuracy, and co-ordination. Also, being old means Snake will not moves as he used to. He's a bit slower, sometimes rolling a lot will cause him back pain, and laying down for periods of time will cause muscle aches. As Snake you have your own objectives to complete, while there is a war going on between Private Military Companies, and A resistance. You can choose to help the Rebels, in turn they will not fire on you. If not, they will shoot you as well as PMC troops. PMC troops will never like you.
Snake adorns the octocamo which will blend in with surroundings if pressed against or laid on for a few seconds without movement. Some are better than others, and doing it anf forgetting what you are supposed to look like can be trouble.
ACT 1
Snakes first objective is to reach Otacon, which can be done fairly easily by sneaking around, or you can go all out guns blazing and take out everybody. Once you meet with otacon, he shows you the "solid eye" patch which is both a NVG and a bino, also it shows what items you may pick up such as ammo, rations, ect. He also shows you the MKII which is a small robotic version of a metal gear. It will follow you in stealth camo, and Otacon will give info from it, as to where to go an all that.
Snakes second objective is to meet with a contact, this is where helping Rebels comes in handy, because you enter their underground camp. Doing so without helping will result in them shooting at you. Just to be on the safe side, avoid contact with people inside the camp as well. Once you reach your point, you meet Drebin, who is a gun launderer. He will unlock weapons for you, due to any gun you take from an enemy is locked. Once you meet him, and weapon you take from either PMC's or dead Rebels will be automatically sold to him, if they are a double of what you already have. Any bullets get places on your cahce.
Snakes next task is to meet the government agents sent to contact him. Running through the streets of a war, and meeting 4 of the 7 bosses in the game during a insane cutscene. After getting through, you'll meet Meryl from MGS1 and her team, featuring "Johnny" from MGS1 and 2. Afterward, you engauge Liquid Snakes "Elite soliders" who fly around and can stick to walls like spider-man. Get through them, and Meryl will give you Liquids location. Then, it's off to sneak into the PMC camp. Get through it, and trigger the cutscene to end Act 1.
ACT II coming next.
