I have to say here that I am finding it a bit funny after watching the draft that everyone is pissed that ECW is getting the shaft here. The way that I am looking at things is that ECW is obviously being seen as a breeding grounds where people can hone their skills and then get called up to the big shows. That is exactly what people want to see from ECW IMO.
I mean, we say that they have nobody viable to step up on their brand now, but look what what they do have.
Miz and Morrison There is no doubt that these two are going to be viable main eventers down the road. Miz has upped his game incredibly since being moved over to ECW, while Morrison is really getting over the gimmick that he has now.
This is also a great starting point for Shelton Benjamin, Kofi Kingston and Sydal for example. Young guys that really have a shot at making something of themselves if they get the shot, and for Shelton, this shot is LONG overdo I think.
Also, I believe Matt Hardy was moved over to work on his mic skills so that he can become the all rounder that he is capable of being.
Sure, ECW is not star studded, but that is never what it was meant to be. Look what happened to Punk there, he really got over and got used to the business the way that wwe does it, and now he is moving up the card.
Dont **** all over this yet, WWE may end up doing something great with it.

*cough*ECW When RAW went off, I thought ECW was screwed and you think about it... they now have the ability to build up people like Kofi, Benjamin, Sydal, M&M as legitmate title contenders. With ECW being taped with RAW now, I can see alot of stars moving back and forth. And with the possiblity of Show being champ and going back to ECW, it makes ECW look strong. Remember in the earlier days of WWECW, people s**tted on Show being champ... seeing as we get Trashley, it made Show' reign a WHOLE lot better. ECW is all about building up stars now and you take a veteran talent like Matt Hardy and Tommy Dreamer. All ECW needs is time. Look at what it did for Punk.*cough*
O.o... Now where did THAT come from?

Shelton's had about a million shots, but it just seemed like he just never did his part to capitalize on it. He was awesome when his "mama" was around. Big chance but it got ****ed by her health.
Shelton's great in the ring, don't get me wrong. He's awesome but I think his shot's been blown about seven times.

I assume because of the Raw/ECW shows coming together, that Kane will retain and just shift back and forth between brands until they build someone on ECW to take the belt off of Kane. At first I was really pissed about the draft. CM Punk to Raw, good for him, bad for ECW, in my oppinion. Only because I directly related CM Punk to ECW because of the legnth of time he has been there, and now like all the other originals he is gone, so in a way it pissed me off. But being on Raw gives him the chance he needs to become the super star everyone knows and wants him to be. Looking at ECW, they do have allot of good talent there, even with two big names gone. They have the obvious in Matt Hardy, Shelton, Kofi, Sydal, Striker, Chavo, Miz, Morrison, Bam Neely seems okay, Knox if he gets his **** together, Dreamer, Delaney, Burke, Richards, Nunzio, and I heard Thorn was coming back soon. So they have the possiblity for some great feuds, and great matches, Especially since they have quietly built up a tag division, M and M, Dreamer/Delaney, Chavo/Neely, Burke and Shelton have tagged before, so if they were to steal smackdown's tag titles, they could actually provide some quiality feuds. And being an hour long show it would be explanable that all the tag teams wouldn't be on every week, making ECW able to produce longer, better tag feuds. There are a few moves to ECW I would have liked to see, Carlito or Santino to ECW I think would have been good. Val Venis so he could matter again, same for Super Crazy. Also I think London and Kendrick should go to ECW. Any or all of those moves would have been pretty cool.
Because of he draft I will be doing something I haven't done in a while and tune in to ECW to see if they are able to pick up the ball they've been handed and run with it.
