Ok, first things first. The Game.
I love it but I don't know why. The main story's a little shorter than I'd like, some of the aspects with regards to family are a little off and the fact that when you become built like a brick ****house every piece of clothing makes you look clinically obese grinds on me.
And that's before I get into how buggy the game is. It really could've done with a few weeks or months longer.. or the programmers to have worked just a little bit harder so I don't end up having to restart the console because I exited the crucible having somehow been able to win the legendary weapon a second time. It's not all their fault I guess though. Sometimes it really does feel like the game's too advanced for even the 360 to keep up with it. Come on Microsoft... be better!
But.. the comedy in this game is fantastic. You can really tell it's a british company that made it... and I don't care what you guys do or don't get about our comedy (classically speaking... newer stuff is a pile of **** that was deposited by the maggots that feasted on a previous, higher quality pile of ****), I love it.
On top of main character voice acting from Ron Glass (A.k.a. Shepherd Book [Firefly/Serenity]), Zoe Wanamaker (Brits'll know who she is) and the legend that is Stephen Fry!
The combat system is pretty much the same as Fable 1. Ok, yes they got rid of some of my favourite spells.... actually just the one.. but I can live without multishot. It only really made me godlike against trolls and bosses. Other things were dead with one arrow, let alone 5, and the trolls have been modified and bosses more or less entirely done away with. Guns feel natural despite logic dictating that anything should die in one hit.
The magic system has been modified in a big way though. Now there's no MP or anything but for the real;ly powerful spells you have to charge them up. This has led to me being killed a couple of times as I was racing spell charge versus health bar... health bar lost.
Right.. now to the cry for help. I have got all but 2 of the achievements for this game. Just the gambling one, which I'll get done shortly fingers crossed... and the damn doll one.
Is there anyone here who owns this game and would be kind enough to trade (or give... I won't turn down charity) me a Garth, Hammer or Reaver doll. I have a Lucien doll (donated by a friend already, so sorry that one's not for trade), a couple of 'Hero' dolls and a couple of Teresa dolls. Please... anyone?
Oh and I can also help people with the 'watch a hero do something' achievements, particularly the completionist which'd save folk paying for the pub games download to get the dog trick and expression in there.
