So, the reign of boredom finally comes to a end next week.
Back in June, my bank screwed me over badly, causing me to sell off my 360 to try to get out of debt, and besides taking a second job, I never had the income to buy a new 360.
Well, that ends next week, when uncle sam, gives my Canadian Ass, some cash, about 500 bones worth, and I'm buying me a 360, now I ask you Xavier, since I want you to be my new online gaming homeslice, what am I buying with said system to pay online.
Gears or Left 4 Dead.
Before you comment, let me say this.
I loved playing GOW online, and for the longest time, it would be the only shooting game I would play online for two years, until I played COD4, which I somewhat liked, but not as much as Gears.
On the other hand, I know Valve has put out some great games, Half Life was praised, and said to be one of the Top 10 games ever, however never had much time to play it, and playing it on PS2 killed it for me, never played The Orange box or Half-Life 2.
So, what am I buying.
Or maybe, someone can just form a band with me.

Personally, I say you buy the Orange Box. You get 5 games for the price of one, and they are all amazing. Scoring at least a 90% each. Left 4 Dead is very good, but I think GOW2 is better. The story in GOW2 is great, and seeing as Left 4 Dead doesn't have a story, single player wise, it's better. The multiplayer on GOW2 is face pased, and better than the first. The multiplayer on L4D is very fast, and somewhat random (Mind you, I played it on the computer). But, if you are deadset on GOW2 or L4D, I say GOW2.

I've considered the Orange Box, the 19.99 pricetag, has made me consider it, but if I get a shooter game, I'll want to play it online, is it a popular Xbox Live game?

Team Fortress 2 is pretty popular. Portal isn't online, but it's unbelievably funny. And Half-Life 2, HL2 Episode 1 and Episode 2 aren't online either, but give you a great story and some amazing cinematics.

The Oramge Box is worth the look... TF2 is good but there better shooters. Gears is good, it has its downfalls. But EPIC is working on it, but Horde Mode is insanely fun and worth the price. L4D is just mindless fun, but you have to play online because that is where the game. Also it is one of the few that you have to communicate with your team. Also if u liked cod4 then i suggest u try W@W yea its ww2 but it is still fun.

Orange box is a must own purely for the price/awesomeness ratios
far cry 2, gears 2, left 4 dead and bad company are all you'll ever need for online shooters except if you ask me they are all pretty dull in the single player department.. even gears just feels like more of the same and far cry (who's predecessor was number one xbox live game for something ridiculous like 9 months cos of the map editor) has lost so much without the predator powers
as for downloads you'll need to get yourself bomberman live, castle crashers and the xbox only gta expansion which looks like american chopper: the game if you ask me
skate 2 if you want something different... don't let tony hawks affect your opinion of skating games until you've played this and see how much different and better it is
also the obvious SvR'09

My thing is, I'm not a big First Person Shooter fan, and can never seem to stayed focus on them, because there are so many, even awesome FPS like the Darkness, failed to keep me focus.
I'm more into Action Adventure, Beat Em Up like games, such as Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden and such.
