Okay, Since I'm planning on buying that 360 as soon as my tax return clears, I wanted to ask a question.
Okay, from my last 360, I have the original Rock Band 1 Drumset, as well as the Xplorer controller from GH2 (Before you say something, I just wasn't comfortable with the GH3 Les Paul) Now the question I want to ask.
I know both of thoses are capable with Rock Band 1, and would assume are with Rock Band 2, the question I want to ask, is if I end up getting GHWT, will the Rock Band 1 Drumset be compatible with GHWT?
Also, how does the whole transfer songs from RB1 to RB2 work, I understand it cost 400 MS Points, and I would need the Rock Band 1 disc, which means, Sadly, I may have to play RB1 all over again to unlock all the songs, am I correct?
Xavier, My Cracka in the kno, what's the verdict.

you won't have to beat them on RB1. Just move them over to RB2. The RB1 Drumset will NOT work with GHWT because they are seperate companies that made them.

Well, my problem was, I sold my last 360, which had the generic 20 Gig Hard Drive, I won't have my save with Rock Band, and what not, when I burn my new 360 with the 60 Gig Hard Drive.
Also, will all my downloadable content for Rock Band be tranferrable over to RB2?
I know I will have to redownload them once I recover my gamertag.

I know the RB Drums are compatible with GHWT (they take out the extra symbol pad), but not sure if it matters if it the RB1 or RB2 drums.
Once you start up RB2, there should be an option to recover your songs from RB1. Im not sure about the DLC (seeing as I dont own RB)

EVERY song from RB1 works on RB2, including downloaded songs except Enter Sandman and Paranoid. They were bought out by GHWT so they are on there now. All other songs work though

You also, forgot to include, Run To The Hills, as unable to be used...Thank God, that song was a Nightmare for me.

ok, to answer all questions. 1. yes, RB drums work on GHWT 2. Yes all your DLC from RB will work on RB2 but to export all the RB disc songs you'll have to buy a licence for 5$ in microsoft points and then export them using a feature in RB2's menu.
RB2>GHWT

RB1 drums (in the uk at least) DO work with world tour it just adjusts the gameplay screen.. i believe this was intended to be a patch in the states.
would still recommend the world tour drums though cos smacking the cymballs is cool as fudge
GH2 = The last one worth paying money for.. don't like either rock band and everything else is just more of the same now... they should've just stuck with "guitar hero." then just released song packs on disc... wouldn't have gone so stale so soon

How could anyone prefer GH over Rock Band?
Its basically the same except with Rock Band there are not a thousand discs to keep up with. I can play all the RB 1, RB 2, and RB: AC/DC tracks from just my RB 2 disc. Its magical!

I'm just getting sick of music games in general... rock band never had enough songs out of the box that i liked enough to warrant a purchase. guitar hero like you say is on too many discs but then the series is 5 years old now. RB is 2 years old and has 3 discs guitar hero is 5 for 5 unless you include the DS version... psh... plus now that it's done, theres nothing more you can do except continually add more and more songs... and then how about.. a revolution... lets bring out a disc FILLED with more songs... balls to it all I say! music games are done... and thats what sadness truly means

You have to pay to sync all the songs... psshhhh...
And that makes more sense than just switching the disc becuase....?
But I'm pretty sure once GH: Metallica comes out and owns our souls (double bass drum FTW!) I'm pretty sure this trend will die down.

they already make a bass pedal for RB2 that allows you to play with a double bass

It used to be drunken Guitar Hero nights, then it became exceptionally drunken Rock Band nights.
As the RB2 instruments STILL aren't out over here this is my preffered set up: Disc: Rock Band 2 + all of my DLC Drums: GHWT (recoil and less noise + symbols= fun) Guitar: Rock Band's Guitar Mic: It doesn't matter.
