The Pulse!
(Everybody wants you by Damone plays in the background, signaling the start of nCws favorite TV show, the Pulse! A highlight clip of nCws finest is shown for an opening montage. Fade in a soundstage, with a large desk and a neon "The Pulse" sign behind it. A man sits at the desk, black suit, grey tie, he shuffles the papers in front of him as the music fades and the camera shifts into position.)
Keybo: Welcome to the hottest show in New Championship Wrestling! That's right, forget O-TV, forget the Fox Line, forget Over the Top, this is where it is at my friends.
The Pulse!
Yes, this is the Pulse and I am your host, the incomparable, the undeniable master of ceremonies, Keybo Shabaz! Last Sunday New Championship Wrestling put on perhaps it's best show of the year when it presented Crossroads, live on pay-per-view, from Toronto in the lovely land of snow and bacon, Canada. A line was drawn, and let me say, it was crossed, hardcore. A superstar returned, bringing some much needed back, and one of nCws finest was forced to say good-bye. So without further ado.. here is The Rundown!
(A Graphic for the Rundown segment. Keybo spins in the chair, stopping when he's facing the left side of the desk, looking into camera #2.)
Keybo: First up, was nCw Wired, the best pre pay-per-view show on the web. And that's a fact.
Mark Evil vs Bob Grenier
Barbed Wired Grudge Match
Keybo: What can I say? Mark Evil has a penchant for barbed wire, and an ability to get it out of nowhere. The true surprise was Bob getting out of this match alive, because everyone and their mother knew he wasn't winning. So, kudos to Evil for winning a match, and kudos to Grenier for making it through the week still breathing.
Echoes of Freedom vs Two Below Zero
Keybo: These two teams fought tooth and nail for not only pride, but a shot at Tag Team Gold at a future date. Now, Frostbyte is a sneaky lil bastage, and Avalanche is the biggest sonnovabitch I've ever seen, but in the end, Everymans experience and Calloways will gave them the win and the chance. Though a Panzer didn't hurt either. And with that.. Crossroads began!
Dirty Deal vs Sexy Jason
Handicap Match
Winner has the services of Amber Ashe
Keybo: Personally, I think Damien Sparks is a giant douchebag for what he's done the last two months. Granted, Amber is a hottie, but if you have to threaten her job to get her interest, you're just a worthless sniveling worm. I give Jason all the credit in the world, he fought his heart out to keep her, but in the end, the numbers were too much, and Dirty Deal can now mentally and emotionally abuse Amber like the tarded rednecks they are.
Homeless Harold (c) vs Kristoff Liam Bates vs Rob Diamond vs Mike Honcho
Xtreme Championship
Iron Man Fatal Four Way
Keybo: To be honest, this match was not what I expected. I expected Harold to beat on a meatloaf swinging monkey, a puppet loving retard and some stuff shirt in a suit. What I got was one of the best hardcore matches the world has ever seen. I mean come on, someone got stabbed.. with a letter opener! How often does that happen? Everyone gave it their all, and showed they weren't to be taken lightly. It came down to the wire, but in the end, the normal guy made the giant monster tap out to win the Xtreme Championship and give the brute his first loss ever. Congratulations, Kristoff, nice job with the briefcase.
Jimmy Zane (c) vs Nelly Angel
X Division Championship
Keybo: Now, I admire Nelly Angel. I'll say that right now. This guy is the spirit of wrestling, hands down. I'll give Jimmy Zane credit, but he's been actling like a giant ass lately and lost a ton of respect from wrestler and fan alike. That being said, this was still a great X Division match, a showcase of speed, stamina and showmanship. But in the end, Nelly showed that he is more than just a quick wit, taking home the victory and the X Division title. Way to go, kid.
Upper Echelon (c) vs Age of the Revolution
Tag Team Championship
Keybo: The members of the Revolution have shown that when they want something, very little can stand in their way. And while I'm not a fan of the crap they pull, I have to admire their tenacity. Ortega and Manson are great wrestlers in their own right, but in the end, the team of Angel and Burns overcame the singularity of both Davey Ortega and Jack Manson. Being great alone, doesn't make you great together boys. Didn't then, doesn't now. And the Revolution Tag Team Champions prove that.
Falcon (c) vs Steve Awesome
National Championship
Blood and Iron Ladder Match
Keybo: The first ever Blood and Iron Match in New Championship Wrestling. Two men, thirty minutes, one winner. This was more than just a title match. If Steve lost, not only was he going home without a title, he was going home to stay. Fired, terminated, kaput. He showed, to me at least, that he could hang with the finest of the X or Xtreme divisions, and for a long time, it looked like he had this match won. But you can't stop a bird from flying, and Falcon defied death to get that contract down at the last possible second. That proved to be enough, and now, nCw mourns the loss of Steve Awesome, and Falcon continues his reign as National Champion.
Adam Knite vs AJ Phoenix
Texas Bullrope Match
Keybo: The Revolution leader against a top member of the Resistance. Tied together with a bullrope. There was no running, no backing out now. It was a great match, each man using not only all the now legal weapons, but the rope as a weapon itself. AJ fought valiantly, but in the end, the big man from the Revolution proved too much, picking up the win against AJ. But, dear people, all hope is not lost! The Karn boys, MG and JF, came to the aid of the Resistance, giving Adam an old school southern beatdown, while the boss sat helpless at ringside.
Jack Hammond (c) vs The Ace vs Xavier Williams
World Championship
Keybo: This was it. The ultimate underdog versus two of the most tenacious wrestlers in the business. Hammond felt cheated after Metamorphosis, winning with the help of the Revolution. Now, it was his chance to prove that he belonged on the pedastal he occupied. Xavier wanted his title back, and Ace wanted to prove that Road to the Gold was not a fluke. Ace may say that he was unfairly double teamed, but hey, thats how it is when you consider yourself the biggest threat. When the smoke cleared, it was Hammond standing tall, retaining his World Championship status for at least another month. And from what it looks like on the power rankings, his two biggest threats are already Champions, so his next opponent could come from anywhere. Watch your back Hammy.
And that was it for Crossroads. Buy rates were up 4.5% from Metamorphosis. Showing that despite words to the contrary, nCw continually grows stronger. But that's enough of the past... time to look into.. the future!
(Graphic for The Prophecy segment. Keybo spins the chair again, stopping facing the other way. He reaches down and puts on weird turban, looking like the thing Johnny Carson used to do. The camera switching to #3.)
Keybo: Yes, the future! All the way to February 21st.. when New Championship Wrestling presents another episode of Trauma.
Shaddix vs Hexx
Keybo: One newb against the resident jobber de force. To me, Shaddix looks like some douche who read too many Anne Rice novels. But, eh, I've been wrong before. Plus the odds favor him. How many matches has Hexx won? Exactly.
Shaddix
Ryan Williams vs Kenneth Williams vs Bob Grenier
Keybo: To be honest, aside from Grenier, who I'm surprised is still breathing, I don't know any of these names. K. Williams was supposed to have a match on Wired, but, he was mysteriously MIA. Did he get arrested again? Who knows, or who cares. And R. Williams.. well.. we'll see.
Bob Grenier.. by default
Falcon vs Xavier Williams vs Kristoff Liam Bates vs Jimmy Zane vs Sexy Jason vs Jack Manson.
Coliseum Preview - Gauntlet
Keybo: There's a word for this, and it rhymes with musterbluck. This is just an excuse to put six people in a match and see what fireworks ensue. Falcon and Bates are going to be riding high off of wins at Crossroads, but Zane, Manson, Jason and Williams are going to be super pissed in retrospect. In a gauntlet, order matters over everything. But if someone could win from #1, it's...
Xavier Williams
Keybo: But now.. Now! We look even further into the future, all the way to the 22nd, when New Championship Wrestling presents another exciting episode of Collision.
JFK vs Davey Ortega
Keybo: Ortega is going to be mad about losing his tag belt so easy, but will he be able to restrain himself enough to not try and kill JFK because of it? I hope so. Because the Resistance doesn't need dissention, not now.
JFK
Mark Evil vs Johnny Rotten
Xtreme Rules
Keybo: Johnny Rotten still has a job? I thought he just left. Hasn't been booked, not seen with Steve. Anyway, Evil should shine in this match. But I have a feeling his recent victory will go to his head and he'll underestimate that big mean sonnovabitch.
Johnny Rotten
Mike Honcho and Rob Diamond vs Two Below Zero
Keybo: Mike and Rob are about to kill one another after that Xtreme match. I don't know which is worse, the meatloaf or the goat, but together they're going to rip someone apart. And this week, it looks like Frostbyte. The Frosty one needs to get his team together.. fast.
Diamond and Honcho
Overdrive vs Dirty Deal
Keybo: Personally, I think Dirty Deal is going to be far too concerned with what they can do to Amber to focus on whats going down this week. AJ is going to be looking to get back on the saddle, and MGK is going to be looking to get the ring rust off his boots. But, they'll do it.
Overdrive
Jack Hammond vs Homeless Harold
Keybo: The World Champ takes on the former Xtreme Champ in a non-title match. Aside from Crossroads, Harolds record is unblemished, while Hammy seems to barely squeak by some weeks. This is a tough match to call. Sure, Hammy feels validated now, but how long will that last?
Jack Hammond
Nelly Angel vs The Ace
Submission Match
Keybo: The Ace celebrates six years this Sunday, and he gets to do it against one of the spunkiest guys on the roster in Nelly Angel. Nelly won the X Division title, but he's already proven titles don't mean anything, so don't expect him to be hungover on his own success.
Nelly Angel
Angel vs Joe Everyman
Keybo: And Collision ends with a bang, just as much as Trauma will. Angel taking on a former stable mate and friend in Joe Everyman. Angel has one of the tag belts, Joe wants one of the tag belts. This is going to come down to whoever wants this more.
Angel
Sorry Joe...
(Graphic for The Glory segment. Spins around again, back to the center, and camera #1, losing the turban in the process.)
Keybo: And this is the special pay-per-view aftermath segment, The Glory! Similar to the Diamond Power Rankings, I will give you an insight to the way things work in the world of professional Wrestling.
World Championship
Champion: Jack Hammond
#1 Contender: The Ace
Dark Horse: Adam Knite
Keybo: After pinning X at Crossroads, The Ace takes his spot as the number one contender and pushes Xavier down a notch, but lurking in the dark is Adam Knite, not only saying he deserves a title shot, but proving it week after week. How long can Hammy outrun the Knite? Or is he afraid of the dark?
National Championship
Champion: Falcon
#1 Contender: Sexy Jason (default)
Dark Horse: JFK
Keybo: Now that Steve Awesome doesn't have a job, the #1 contender reverts to the previous champion in Sexy Jason, but somewhere in the back of his mind, JFK wants that title back, and Falcon has already said he's more than willing to give him that chance.
X Division Championship
Champion: Nelly Angel
#1 Contender: Jimmy Zane
Dark Horse: Jack Manson
Keybo: Nelly shocked the world and the Vegas oddsmakers by defeating Jimmy Zane at Crossroads, but as per usual, Zane can demand a rematch. But I think Manson be lurking back, fresh off his tag loss, and wanting to once again gain glory for his own. And bring that title to the Resistance.
Xtreme Championship
Champion: Kristoff Liam Bates
#1 Contender: Homeless Harold
Dark Horse: Mark Evil
Keybo: The Perfectly Normal guy stunned the crowd by making the behemoth tap out, but now his task is a repeat performance. That is, of course, assuming Harold wants to reclaim whats his. If not, Mark Evil is perfectly willing, and capable to walk in and enjoy the spoils.
Tag Team Championship
Champion: Age of the Revolution
#1 Contender: Echoes of Freedom
Dark Horse: Dirty Deal
Keybo: The AotR has the titles, the Echoes want them. It's as simple as that. But, in the background, is Dirty Deal. Biding their time until they can get back into the picture. Will Amber help them? Or be the worst distraction ever?
Keybo: That's it for The Pulse, ladies and gentlemen. For all of us here at New Championship Wrestling this is Keybo Shabaz! Always remember..
Steel Chairs are fun...
Barbed Wire is a good time...
And always tip your waitress!
Good night.
