I know we all know about Trips selling his punt to the head and HBK going away for the summer to deal with his knees, but WWE took another HUGE hit at this announcment about Undertaker's health.
So SD is a bit bare for ME guys and this leaves the whole fed in a bit of a bind...how long have I told people in AIM and MSN that they need to build the young guys? Well...this will be a test of their mettle of the young guys now...as they have no ME faces that are vets.
and it also means Taker may be heading for retirement faster if he does indeed have issues with his hips...
According to a report by The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online, The Undertaker is suffering from both knee and hip problems and was not brought to the Smackdown/ECW tapings last Tuesday in New York City at Madison Square Garden as a result. The talk as of last Tuesday was that Undertaker would be undergoing arthroscopic sugery on his hip and would be out of action for at least the next few months.
The Undertaker's departure from the company for the time being has left the Smackdown brand somewhat bare in regards to babyface talent which is why the face turn of John Morrison appears to have been sped up, while CM Punk is likely expected to be pushed as one of the top babyfaces on the brand because of the uncertainty of Undertaker and Jeff Hardy's future with the company.
This now leaves WWE without three of its top stars including Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Triple H, although Triple H is out with a worked injury and more than likely won't be brought back anytime soon to put over the attack from Randy Orton.
