Yesterday on the first ever Rate The Wrestler here in nCw, The Master Of The Diamond Cutter Diamond Dallas Page scored a pretty good 73, but will the man from the Jersey Shores be able to keep that pace as we move forward, but for now he sits on top of the mountain.
Overall Leaderboard 1. Diamond Dallas Page (73)
Today is a man who is a multiple time World Champion, both in WWE and WCW, as well as one of the purest wrestlers we have ever had, He also has done something we really wanted to do....Punch McMahon in the face, the real way.
Today Rate The Wrestler is The Best there is, The Best There Was, And The Best there ever will be...
Bret "The Hitman" Hart!

Bret Hart was a hero for me growing up, two catchphrases spring to mind the one you already mentioned and of course "Real men wear pink"
Bret could captivate the audience with his Mic Skills and he was intense in the ring, not only a great wrestler but a great entertainer in the same way. He paved the way for a lot of today's wrestlers and was/still is the milestone that many wrestlers aspire to be.
For me Bret has to have a 9. If it wasn't for leaving WWF to join WCW whilst the world champion (hey it upset me because I didn't get WCW) then he'd have a ten, because Bret Hart, owned!

Bret Hart = 7
I know thats a little low for someone like Bret but most of that is for his ring skills. He didnt get higher because personally I thought he was a whiny jerk.

yes a six, to me he was always overrated, his mic skills to me, where meh, his in ring ability, meh yes he was a good worker, but he used the same moves in the same order, hbk suffers from this also, as does cena, yet cena is the one that gets **** about it, hell the rock was like that also, five moves of doom, anyways back to hart, to me he was always outshined by owen and pillman, and because of such he gets the six.

I'd have to give Bret Hart a 9.5. So close to 10. He just never had that HUGE umph' match to his career that made me think 'best ever career'. Undoubtably has almost, if not THE best wrestling skills that have graced the ring. He's set the ropes on fire on occasion, but he just never got that 'arsenic' to fuel it I guess. Overall, he's in my top 5 wrestlers of all time.
Oh, and I voted for the Punkster.

He is a technical genius like Benoit was and a huge inspiration to the creation of Ace in general, ah if only he was still around in wrestling...
I voted for the most wasted and underrated of all current WWE talent...Carlito...because he's cool...

I'll go ahead and give him a 9.
Never much cared for Bret on the stick so this is all on his in ring ability. Hart has had so many great matches, seriously. By my count, he's had two, yeah, TWO ***** matches. Versus Owen and versus Austin from WM13. Still need to track down their Survivor Series 96 match. Plus you had that ten man tag from the Calgary Stampede IYH PPV back in 97 I think it was. I could go on about the great matches he was in but his work speaks for itself.

First of all, I voted for Punk. I am really hoping that the E is ready to take him to the next level.
Secondly I give Bret Hart a 7.5
In my mind he was just never all that great, more just a product of a hype machine. His matches were almost all the same. For me his in-ring talent was always good, on the stick he seemed lost to me, and he really proved that he was a sinker not a swimmer when he went over to wcw. He went NOWHERE without McMahon behind him. That was when we truly saw that Bret could not persevere and become a TRUE 8 or 9 wrestler.
Also, his un willingness to put the Montreal screwjob behind him pisses me off to this day. When he was being inducted into the HoF I heard that he even stated that if he so much as saw Shawn Michaels he would leave.
Pretty sad and childish if you ask me. A sad end to a pretty good career.

7, I never got the hype about him... he never really had a match that had me going...WOW!, Aside from his matches with Owen and Austin. And, agreeing with Lance, I find it childish that Bret cant get over Montreal.
Shawn's over it, Vince is as well... time to let it go Bret.

I give Bret Hart an 8.5 overall
I break wrestling down into 4 categorys
Wrestling ability, Mic Skills, Selling skills, and overall charisma.
Wrestling: 10/10 Bret's technical in ring skill was unmatched. No question he knew how to wrestle. Like Michaels, he could wrestle a mop and make it work. Let's face it, Shawn Michaels had the best match in WWE history. His opponent? Bret Hart. Some people dance real well together.
Mic skills: 5/10 Bret didn't have great mic skills starting off [circa hart-foundation, hence Neidhart did most of the talking}, and they managed to be average at best. During his '97 "anti-america, pro-canada" promos, his real emotion manifested into his best work. He couldn't duplicate that before, or in WCW afterward.
Selling: 9/10 Bret into a turnbuckle chest-first anyone?
Charisma: 9/10 Although techincally mic skill is part of charisma, remember when the Undertaker first came in WWE, or Brock Lesnar? Or Goldberg to WCW? not having to say two words? So in that case, Bret gets a break, It's all about the look, and when Bret's music hit and he came through the curtain, you knew it was on.
that's a total of 33/40 which is 82%, so I'll give him the nod just for namesake and the fact he got screwed, give him the 8.5
