Friday - Ring of Honor - Dragon Gate Challenge II
Saturday - Ring of Honor - Supercard of Honor III
Sunday - WWE - Wrestlemania 24
-to note, I am attending all of these shows
Overload of awsomeness... the Impact show was meh... so lets get to ROH
To expand on iMPACT it was sooooooooooo slow and just went on at some parts, the matches were good, but far in between. this could of been a chance for TNA to go all out and try to impress and it came off... better than the norm.
And Selinas (Shelly Martinez) has some MASSIVE tits, I had to sway my body when I got a hug from her, after the show.
Onto ROH
For those who dont know, DGC and SCoH are notorious for having a Dragon Gate heavy card and DGC didnt disappoint. All but two matches had Dragon Gate competitors. And these guy are FAST, it got a little slow at points, but they always hit a big spot and the crowd popped immediatly. Now I suck at full card recap, so Nigel defeats Delirious in the opener via an arm submission. Nigel got some good heel heat, but as I told RJ, I still hate the fact he is champ. The Vulture Squad came out and pretty much squashed the Young Rich and Ready, and JIGSAW HAS NO MASK!?!?!??!?!?!!!!!! Lame.
Now the first of the Dragon Gate vs ROH series, Aries vs Horiguchi, and this match was a quick one. The card was bat**** over for Aries and the match was more of a build up for Aries and he won via the Horns of Aries at less than 10 mins. After the match the Age of the Fall came out and asked Aries to join, saying that he could use a little help in his title match vs Nigel the next night. Sunny then came and tried to sway Aries her way. Aries declined and left, Sunny and lacey starting jawing, Jimmy gave lacey the word and she planted Sunny with her implant DDT.
Match 2 of the series Steenerico vs Yoshino/Doi. To saw the crowd wasnt over for Steenerio, would be a lie, they loved them. The match was full of their typical antics, Steen of course a God. The match saw it share of hot tags a big spots... thematch ends after Steenerico nails the Package Piledriver/Brainbuster Combo and ROH is up 2-0
We have Intermission and the place is actually pretty impressive, but the lines sucked ass, took like 10 mins to get some damn Pepsi, I hit the swag tent and bought some shirts.
So Match 3 of the series BxB Hulk/Shingo vs Jacobs/Black rep the Age of the Fall. AotF major heel heat Black stepped up his game, he was on, and BxB impressed for his US Debut (I think) Unfortunatly I came in late so I missed the intros... I dont know if Bxb danced after saw 15-16 mins, Shingo put Black away with the Last Falconry making the series ROH 2 to Dragon Gate's 1.
Match 4 of the Series (Now mind you, I dont know if all these are a part of the series, b/c that would make 4 matches ... since the last match was a mix... more on that later)
So We have the Briscoes vs Dragon Kid/Ryo Saito. Dragon Kid, being the smallest, was petty much dominated for the majority of this match, but Saito got the hot tag and it pretty much leveled out. A lot of big power moves were hit, but it didnt stray into the "Typical Briscoe formula". But Jay and Mark put it was after a Springboard Doomsday Device and everyone, as well as me, joined in on a huge "Dragon Gate" chant ROH 3-1
Main Event
NRC (Strong, Richards, and Romero vs Erick Stevens, CIMA, and Go Shiozaki
The story behind this, the NRC challenged to take on someone from ROH, Dragon Gate and NOAH and we have Stevens foo ROH, CIMA for D. Gate and Go for NOAH. Go pretty much channeled the spirit of Kobashi, he hit a lot of movs similar to Kobashi and Richards ended it with him channeling Kawada. (KAWADA KICKS!!!) The crowd was in and out, ut CIMA got the tag and the crowd came back to life. A lot of near falls and close saves. I was up and down the whole match. CIMA got the pinfall over Strong after his Crossfire (Cradle Sit-Out Powerbomb). After the 3 people started to leave, I pretty much rushed to the front And joined in at the "ROH, NOAH, and Dragon Gate" chant.
All in all, this show easily beat DGC I, and I will def. be picking this one up when it hits DVD. And this show left me hype for Supercard of Honor III.
