This is something I did a long time ago, you may of saw it on tpww.net if you ever visited the forums, it started in 2004 and lasted for 242 days before I stopped it.
Today, we rate a man who started Pro Wrestling at a very late age, He finally made it as a Pro Wrestler in WCW in his early 40's, but seemed like a Workhorse despite his average to above average ability.
You can deal out your own scoring system, I'll have mine, I know both RJ's will have theirs.
There are a few rules however, Anything under a 4 will not be excepted without a good reason, and He sucks, I didn't like him....He's not Kevin Nash doesn't count.
It will be rated from 1-10 and at the end of voting, I will get his average.

7.0
Good, but not great. he wasn't the best wrestler but he had a lot of charisma and had a finishing move that you felt could come from anywhere at anytime. He at least seemed to put a lot of effort into his matches. If you include Kimberly as part of the DDP package then he gets an 8.5, because she was hot.

It's not secret, I'm a big mark for Diamond Dallas Page, if I picked him as a the first RTW, and me and Steve Awesome have had long convosations about the master of the Diamond Cutter
Overall: I give him a 8

I would give DDP a 7.5. He was good all around, but he wasn't the best. He had good charisma and he showed that fairly well in the Ready To Rumble movie too. Good movie by the way. But, he was good when he had his run, and his finisher actually looked like it would hurt.

I wasn't really sold on him as World Champion material or main event material either. Struck me as boring in the ring but wasn't half bad on the stick.

6.5 i liked DDP but he just never really captivated me.
I think his fued with Taker in WWE was pretty funny, but as it was the last I saw of him wrestling-wise, it was a bit of a disappointment.
Movie-wise, he's a pretty good actor though.

Yeah, Wrestlecrap.com nailed the Taker/Page fued perfectly...It likes WWE wanted to **** all over the guy, He was a guy who was one of the highest paid WCW Guys, when WWE bought out WCW, he could of sat at home and just collected a paycheck, but he choice to accept a buyout at half the price, just because he loved the business, and wanted to get involved in the Invasion Angle.

I think they did that with a few guys.

I give him a solid 7.0
He's good with mic work, and has some brawling skills, but I've nevr been impressed by him. He just doesn't deliver the quality matches that would get him higher in my book. DDP has loadsa of charisma, but not loads of talent in my book.

Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire anyone? All because they didn't stand up to shake Takers hand.

I liked PAge allot. I'd give him a 7.5 Great on the mic, solid in the ring. When he won the world title it was like "about time" for me.

I give DDP an 8.
Mainly because the guy was a great performer. Sure his wrestling ability wasn't the best, but it definately did the job. He was great on the mic and from the stuff I saw of him in his heyday he almost always put on great matches....wich is what you want from a wrestler anyway. PLus......if it werent for DDP, we wouldnt have an RKO.

8.5 - I loved DDP and still do, and as much as I like Taker, I was pissed at the way they pissed all over the man with that crappy fued which in any other situation would have been a dream match for me - but no, instead we get smily fake teeth stalker guy!
The less said about his WWE Days the better!
He was and still is a back up 'Ace' for me...and is one of my favourites of all time!
The RKO is good but...BANG...DIAMOND CUTTER!
SELF HIGH FIVE!
And yes Kimberly was undeniably hot...
