Its a storyline that was more random than shocking. It would have made much more sense for Vince to appoint Stephanie or Flair since we knew HHH was gonna win the battle royal, that way his wife or mentor would have made the LMS match announcement as punishment for what Orton did to either Flair or Stephanie. Hopefully this storyline doesn't last too long or if it does that things get better, either way I can't see HHH getting the title so soon but I can see it as a way for them to bring HBK back and reunite DX as Trump said the people deserved to get what they want to see and a DX UK tour is scheduled soon.

You forget the LMS is on a comercial-free version of Raw...that means we get to see every last second of the action...just like it was a PPV. So...to be honest, Trump putting it on is just another way to sell the 2 hour commercial-free Raw.
But we all know that this is going to storyline "flop", where Vince does some **** to sabotage Trump so he sells it to Flair or Steph then we get them as GM...probably Flair. Even though I could actually see an advantage of a 3rd party like Trump actually involved in WWE with a large...say...pull...he'd probably try and give the fans what they want...he does with his other shows he does, or at least attempts to.

When Vince announced it was Trump.....
I got an eerie flashback to WCW and Ted Turner.
But yeah.....I cant see this storyline last for very long. I give it six months at the most.

If they actually do different and crazy stuff with Trump as the owner, than it could be cool. But I have a feeling he's too busy to do much at the shows and will do just a bunch of pre-taped talking much like the stuff on this past Raw (that's right, Trump wasn't "live via satellite"), which gets boring quick, so it'll end up flopping. But if he actually came to shows and interacted with the superstars, it could be gold.

It is Summer...so I dunno what shows he's working on during summer, usually it's fall/winter/spring he's busy with his other stuff...and being the Celeb Apprentice just finished it won't be till fall/spring that he works on next season so maybe he'll be around for the summer...maybe...if not it'll flop and be done in a few weeks.

Seriously, I understand Vince is desperate to get people to watch his product again, but coming from someone who has watched WWE from the time I was 3 until I was about 21, religiously, Trump is not going to make me tune in again. In fact it just further proves to me that Vince has no idea what the hell he's doing. I watch wrestling for the in ring story, be it the actual match or the drama around the match, and hey, TNA has it's problems, but it atleast doesn't pretend it's fans are five years old, don't remember anything, or hire old sacks of crap to make their show interesting. TNA actually relies on it's talent to put over the product.

well Nash, sting, steiner, and booker are part of the problem with TNA now. taking up an awful lot of airtime for very little return. Seriously, all five guys DO NOT need to say something every time they're on camera. disband the MEM, and everything will go back to normal.
as for Richards and Ravens, they may not be spring chickens anymore, but they still got it promo wise and are still decent in ring.. (yeah, I'm biased.)

When Vince said he'd sold Raw to someone he had a past with that had proven they didn't get along....I almost prayed for it to be Stone Cold.
How awesome would that have been?

Isn't Austin working on a movie right now? That and I'm sure Vince couldn't PAY Austin to "take over" a show like Raw ever again...I'm pretty sure he's done with WWE for a long time.

With him having another movie coming out...I see that he backs out of it for a short return without a match so he can plug it...perhaps. If not...then yes he is gone for good.

So who here actually is excited for commercial-free Raw tonight? I know I'm not but I'll watch anyway. There's nothing like live train wrecks.
Trump has the Midas touch and Vince knows that. It isn't like the WWE fan base doesn't know they're friends behind closed doors (and at some of your pricier latte shops). Vince is just using his resources and I can't blame him for that.

im not because I will now have no time to go piss or eat. I guess I'll just have to use a diva's match for that

That's the plan..that or if they do a million video packages...which I'm sure they might just do to fill up "commercial time" cuz they won't want to do too much matches.
But I'll half-assed watch...probably start thinking of rp ideas or play the Sims instead of fully watch any match but the ME.

Raw was a big meh tonight...only a few matches were worth my full attention and they completely ended the Trump thing before it began...
How much you wanna bet that the ratings will not jump hardly at all

I'm ganna bet the ratings will be about a 4. Not enough to make Vince happy, but enough to make him smile a little inside

Yeah, I'm so confused what Edge is going to do now since he's not in a world title match on a PPV for the first time in like, two years. It's so weird. It feels like Raw would be the same if Orton, HHH, Cena, and Batista were all missing from the main event. But HHH/Orton is an old hat that I really hope ends after the Bash. The Trump thing was probably reversed so fast to get the stock not to be sold for people who didn't realize it was a story.

This whole debacle was atroucious(sp?) for the stockholders of the company that are clueless, which sadly is a majority of them. WWE's stock is going to fall hard because of this, but on the plus side of things, Raw had its biggest ratings since like 2006.
