Well I waited until after Road to the Gold to write my column this week fans, and I've gotta say I'm glad I did.... RttG was an incredable show and I have to discuss it.
First off I'd like to congratulate everybody who busted their tails to win championships.
Dr. Pepper went through a hell of a ladder match and walked away Xtreme champion. I don't know of any other wrestler who has had to go through so much on their debut match but he was definetly rewarded for his efforts.
Jack Manson our new National champion put The Boring in his place which I was really glad to see. The two may respect each other but I don't respect Bore one bit so I was glad to see him get beat, but that's just me.
Lance Ryan..... Well what can I say, he won, he beat my man Ortega fair and square and I have got to give it to him because Davey was doing everything he could to win the match. Afterwards Ryan didn't even have enough energy left to celebrate his victory as all he could do was lay in the ring hugging the title.... that's what wrestling is all about fans. He and Ortega left everything in that ring and recieved a standing ovation from the fans for it... it'll definetly go down as a classic moment in nCw history.
The rest of the show was great too, we got to see several new comers showcase their talents and a couple of them really caught the eye of nCw managment that's for sure, evidence by the fact Ricky Johnson is getting a chance to become the Xtreme #1 contender on Collision.
Another match which I enjoyed very much, was seeing Victor Kesianlafjlsdkjfd (whatever) put in his place. After weeks of getting under my dad's skin, good ol' pop and John Anthony knocked him down a notch and now he's the nCw janitor.... good times. I can't wait to see what they have in store for him this week.
I'm hearing word backstage that Spike Kane (who has also joined the Empire... WOOT!) will be getting a special reward for playing his part in making The Violent One a Janitor.... what it is... I have no idea, all I know is it is said he'll definetly enjoy it.
Now on to this week.
I see a great show in Collision this week, it's full of developmental talent and some great matches between the nCw regulars. It should be an exciting show to say the least.
Leviathan vs. Mr. Man
How could I vote against a guy with an AWESOME name like "Mr. Man"..... I can't.
Winner: Mr. Man
Scorpius vs. Scar
The battle of the S words... I'll take Excalibur.... wait... oh S... Words not swords.... hmmm give me a draw in this one.
Winnder: Draw.... will "Draw" ever be defeated?
Ace vs. ShowTyme vs Joe Everyman
I've already got somebody with "Man" in his name winning so I can't pick that twice. Ace or Show Tyme... I think with the awesome misspelling of Tyme that he's gotta mean business so he'll pick up the win here trumping the Ace.
Winner: Show Tyme, when his misplaced "y" knocks both other men out before the bell rings.
Burning vs. Inferno
What is up with these names... I think too many pyromaniacs could eventually lead to a little thing called "arson" I'm going to vote Inferno here because he's slightly more interesting then Boring and because an Inferno definetly sounds more frightfull then a simple "burning"
Winner: Inferno... when he sets the ring on fire... literally.
John Anthony vs. Dave Holland
Anthony has the Empire behind him... how can he lose? Dave Holland may be one of the biggest stars in nCw right now, but there is no way he overcomes the Empire...
Winner: John Anthony
Dr. Pepper vs. Kevin Slater
After what I saw from Dr. Pepper at RttG I feel sorry for any man that has to step in the ring with him in an Xtreme match... it's not going to be pretty for Mr. Slater.
Winner: Dr. Pepper
Davey Ortega and Spike Kane vs. Lance Ryan and Jack Manson
Once again the Empire is going to triumph in this match. They may be facing the World and National champion on a team but that won't stop the Empire... not for a second
Winner: Davey Ortega and Spike Kane.... simple as that.
Kelly's List of the week:
1. The Cleveland Browns
2. Curdled Milk
3. Davey Boone's armpits
4. Burning's wrestling skills
5. Rotting Rhino dung
Answer: Things that still don't stink as bad as TVO does after a hard days "Work" as nCw janitor.
