Karras: This seems to be my year for masks.
{Karras stood on the same balcony he seemed to frequent these days. The view of the vistas around seemed to calm him, even if only for a little while. It also helped him think, whenever he questioned what he was doing. What was he doing? Was it fate that he was gifted the Xtreme title, only to have it changed the moment it slipped through his grasp? Or was it just convienence? He wasn't sure.}
Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
Psalm 32:1
Karras: I never understood masks personally. They always seemed like the cowards way out, as I so calmly explained to Red last week before I put him down like the mongrel pup he is. But, with that said, I'm open to meaning. I know mexican wrestlers value their mask as a symbol of pride and the source for their belief. So, right now Tempestad, I'm handing you the chance to tell me what your mask means to you. I know you might or might not have said this before, but that was then. I want to hear the truth, from your own lips this week. I don't abide liars, as I showed Red last week. So, let me state it plainly..
What does your mask mean to you?
Don't lie to me. I don't play nice with people who lie in the presence of God. Remember that.
The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.
Psalm 52:1
Karras: From one mask to the next, but this one is far more sinister. Just look at the fog. It's either a clever hoax, in that case he's a weak fraud of a human being. Or it's truly an anomaly and he's tailed by the agents of Satan. Either way, Mysterio, I must destroy you in the name of everything humanity considers Sacred. So, please, give me the there is no God speech. I'll be more than happy to put you down like a violent stray. I care not for how powerful you think your dark forces are, they are simply tools. Tools to cover human weakness, not tools that help you aspire into greatness. I care not for your allegiance to Sexy Jason, for he will not help you. Either physically, or spiritually. Good night, Mr. Mysterio. Sleep well in the rest of the damned.
'Do not swear falsely by my name and so profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.
Leviticus 19:12
Karras: And then we have... a vampire. Are you serious? A frickin Vampire? Come on, Twilight wasn't that big of a hit was it? I mean really, what were you doing? Sitting in the front office trying to come up with a gimmick and you saw a Team Edward mug on the secretaries desk and decided 'Hey! I'll just steal everything from a bunch of other stuff!' Yes, I'm aware that Father Karras was the name of the priest in the exorcist. It unfortunately also happens to be my name, which I don't see as a coincidence, I see it as another sign from God. So, pull a Mysterio if you want to. Sit in a dark room with a fog machine and tell me how Satan is the best and I'll never win. It'll be that much more sweeter when you're laying flat on your back, little final fantasy chocobos dancing around your head where most people would have stars, and thinking to yourself. 'Jeez, maybe I shoulda thought this out a little more.' I'll say this once. nCw is God's ring. All the people who gave me the Satan is Lord speech fell to me, and were never seen again. Show of hands.. who's seen Daredevil?
{Cricket.}
I rest my case.
You are my firstborn, my might, the first sign of my strength, excelling in honor, excelling in power.
Genesis 49:3
Karras: And that no doubt brings me to who could be considered the firstborn son of nCw, Xavier Williams. Williams is a man of principle, no matter what the cost. Showing that he has the passion, but perhaps lacks the direction. I cannot fault him for this, the trials of missteps are the scourge of all those that are human. Basically, nobody's perfect. But Xavier has always appeared as a man who would give up everything he has or could obtain to fufill a greater purpose. That sounds a lot like myself, don't you think? Well, maybe you don't, but that's to be expected. In fact, the only person I expect a straight fight, and a straight answer out of, is Xavier. Hopefully, he doesn't let me down.
{Karras turned away from the balcony.}
Karras: Life sometimes is very simple. There are people here that need to stay, and people here that need to go. And since convincing everyone by force doesn't seem to be the best course of action at this time, I'll simply settle for removing those whom God deems hopeless. But don't worry about losing this job..
I hear McDonalds is hiring for night shift guys.
Right up your alley, isn't it?
{He turns back to the view.}
{Fade.}
