(Everybody wants you by Damone plays in the background, signaling the start of nCws favorite TV show, the Pulse! A highlight clip of nCws finest is shown for an opening montage. Fade in a sound stage, with a large desk and a neon "The Pulse" sign behind it. A man sits at the desk, black suit, gray tie, he shuffles the papers in front of him as the music fades and the camera shifts into position.)
Keybo: The women last week nearly stole the show with four knockout matches featuring twelve femme fatales. I wouldn't quite say the guys need to be concerned for screen time just yet, but who knows if this keeps up. Oh yeah.. I do.
The Pulse!
I can sense the start of something beautiful here.
Suspense
Ayla St. James vs Zelda Knite vs Emma Danielson
Women's Tournament - Round 1
Keybo: These three started Suspense off right. There were no pulled punches here. No hair grabbing or butt spanking, just high fashioned brutality. But blood runs true in some families.
Zelda Knite 1-0
Tempestad vs Mr. Mysterio vs Sephiroth Du Lac vs Gabriel Karras vs Xavier Williams
Keybo: Yea, the Vampire did it. Amazed the hell out of me too. Say what you want about his creepy demeanor, dude can wrestle.
Tempestad 1-1
Maria Williams vs The Cat Lady vs River Kane
Women's Tournament - Round 1
Keybo: At the behest of finding two dozen felines on my doorstep ready to kill me, I won't say anything negative at all.
The Cat Lady 2-1
Fergus Callaghan vs Will Washington
Keybo: Oh when we he learn to leave the jokes at the door? But somehow Washington is the one without a job.
Will Washington 3-1
Keybo: And thus, the first round of the women's tournament ended. But that continued, along with the rest of our glorious action.
Trauma
Julietta Lee vs Cassandra Ryan vs Sammie Rene
Women's Tournament - Round 1
Keybo: Well, there was violent. Crazy. And more crazy. And more crazy won out, just as yours truly predicted.
Julietta Lee 4-1
Xombi vs Donovan Hale
Keybo: Well, he didn't. And he acted more like a corpse than a wrestler, but hey.. he got the job done.
Donovan Hale 4-2
Motor City Mafia vs Harold Campbell and Mr. Red
Lumberjack Match
Keybo: Yea, they handed Campbell and Red the win. Nice to see all those XHF guys who can't do anything alone stick together. Cowards
Don't care as long as DD loses 5-2
Rob Diamond vs Nelly Angel
Keybo: Well, they both did walk away. But everything was far from settled. Nelly wanted an immediate rematch, and while he didn't get it, one can't be far off.
Nelly Angel 5-3
Keybo: Two thirds of the way home, come on guys you can make it.
Collision
Gib vs Ricky Johnson
Keybo: I can tell you the first thing Ricky Johnson needed after returning was not a face full of ringpost. I just hope he's ok.
Gib 6-3
Sexy Jason vs Andrew Jacobsen
Keybo: Ok, the Sexy System does not in fact give you the ability to defeat X Division champions. Dually noted.
Sexy Jason 6-4
Sally Martinez vs Emma English vs Roxi Johnson
Women's Tournament - Round 1
Keybo: And with this, the women's tournament bracket for round 2 is set. And yes, if you'll notice, I got all four matches right. Because I'm awesome.
Sally Martinez 7-4
Kristoff Bates vs Brad Kane vs The Ace
Keybo: Three veterans, and the smart ass brit takes it. Sometimes I wish people would try harder.
Brad Kane 7-5
Lance Ryan vs Jimmy Zane
Keybo: Just goes to show that vengeance isn't the best motivating factor. Or maybe Jimmy Zanes roll is just insurmountable as of late.
Lance Ryan 7-6
Falcon and Angel vs Chris Cobain and Atreyu
Keybo: Well, it wasn't the set up I imagined. But even at the end of it all, Chris Cobain still has the Honor title, and with it, the upper hand over Atreyu.
Falcon and Angel 8-6
Joe Everyman vs Steve Awesome
Xtreme Rules
Keybo: Wish for a specialty match with Awesome. Check. Prepare for match by insulting the Awesome one. Check. Getting your ass handed to you on live TV by someone you said wasn't in your league. Check. Nice job.
Steve Awesome 9-6
Week: 9-6
2010: 14-10
Keybo: So, I did marginally better this week. But hey, above .500 means you and I make money, right? Awesome.
Keybo: Suspense's second week promises more of the same
Suspense
Xavier Williams vs Fergus Callghan vs Kole Kaos vs Mr. Mysterio
Keybo: So they finally let Kole out huh? I wonder if his mind is really right this time. But then again, does it really need to be?
Kole Kaos
Roxi Johnson vs Cassandra Ryan vs Ashley Starr vs Maria Williams vs Ayla St. James
Keybo: The loveable losers from last week face off to see who's the best of those left behind. But hey, someone had to not win, so I wouldn't count any of these ladies out just yet.
Ayla St. James
Sephiroth Du Lac vs Dark Horse
Keybo: So, the Vampire takes on someone who might be an ally with the forces of darkness. Or not, they'll probably just try to kill one another.
Sephiroth Du Lac
Keybo: Round 2 Electric Boogaloo
Trauma
Emma English vs Emma Danielson vs Sammie Rene
Keybo: Another showcase of the ladies, but this one promises to be quite a bit more higher up on the brutality scale. Is it too soon to ask for female xtreme rules?
Emma Danielson
Donovan Hale vs Atreyu vs Andrew Jacobsen vs El Phantasmo
Keybo: This promises to be an X Division classic of epic proportions. And just think, maybe if one of these guys gets the upper hand over AJ or Atreyu, we could be looking at the next contender.
Atreyu
Angel vs The Ace
Keybo: The top two contenders for the companies most prized possessions face off one on one. Bragging rights never felt so good.
Angel
Julietta Lee vs Sally Martinez
nCw Women's Tournament - Round 2
Keybo: And the final match of Trauma will determine the first of two finalists for the nCw Women's Champion. So.. will psycho win this week? I think so.
Julietta Lee
Keybo: Round 3 Super Fly-ee
Collision
Zelda Knite vs The Cat Lady
nCw Women's Tournament - Round 3
Keybo: Who can withstand the stench of cat urine? Nobody. But then again, I've never seen a cat anywhere near the ring. Nor a video game character. So, let's just go with the less creepy one.
Zelda Knite
Dirty Deal vs Nelly Angel and Rob Diamond
Keybo: Please.. Nelly.. Robert.. put aside your fued for twenty minutes to beat the crap out of Dirty Deal. Please? I'll give you candy.
Nelly Diamond
Kristoff Liam Bates vs Chris Cobain vs Paul Star
Keybo: Another talent showcase cluster curtesy of one Chris Diamond. Man does he love these. And judging by the ratings I get every week from Neilson, so do you.
Bates
Sexy Jason vs Ricky Johnson
Keybo: Two nCw originals square off on the flagship show. You can't ask for much better than this. Well you can, but like as not you'll be disapointed.
Sexy Jason
Jimmy Zane and Lance Ryan vs Steve Awesome and Gib
Keybo: And all the fanboys heads have just exploded. This match couldn't be packed with more excitement if you strapped it with C4.
Awesome and Gib
Falcon vs Joe Everyman
Keybo: The World Champion vs the National Champion. Similar to the Ace/Angel match, they fight for the right to state who is better. Which might just be worth its weight in gold.
Falcon
Keybo: And now, I'd like to welcome my guest this week. The inagural Honor Champion, Atreyu!
("Honor" by Atreyu plays as Atreyu exits from backstage. He stops at the barricade, greeting the audience, then taking his seat.)
Keybo: Welcome to the Pulse, Mr. Atreyu.
Atreyu: Great to be here, sitting in the seat that some of the best in the business has sat in.
Keybo: We hope to add your name to that list someday.
Atreyu: As do I, but until then I'm just going to keep working.
Keybo: Good deal. Ready to hear your fan response?
Atreyu: Gladly.
Keybo: Mr. J, from Minneapolis asks.. Exactly who is Atreyu? Never heard of him. Sounds pretty lame. Is it Johnny Atreyu? Atreyu Sanders? Pick 2 names and stick with it. Then people might know you.
Atreyu: Well as I’m sure you must know mister J, that Atreyu isn’t my real name, it is my “stage name” if you will my real name is Wade Adama, but I like to keep my personal life personal, and my professional life, professional. People may not have heard of me mister J, they may not have had the chance yet. It’s fine by me, I understand my place in this business and I understand I have to earn respect, not demand it…so maybe after I prove myself to you you’ll change you’re tune? One can only hope.
Keybo: You can't expect some people to realize the obvious. Anyway, Micheal Ende from Germany asks..
Atreyu: Uhhmm…well, I’m not really sure what Gandaalf, Harry Potter and Hitler have to do with anything but what I think I can make out from your broken German is a question, right? Along the lines of how does it feel to be the first Honor Champion? Well Mr. Ende, it gives me no greater pleasure. The only thing that could feel better would be being the World Champion. It shows that I am a certain type of person, that I follow a creed, a code and stand by it. I don’t use it as an excuse and I show people how we could be. Being the first Honor Champion is a great pleasure and it has made me incredibly happy…I just need to get that Honor Title itself back from Chris Cobain. Maybe he’ll swap it for this crappy XHF Chaos Championship I took last week?
Keybo: He's the guy who wrote the Neverending Story. He basically bashed you for stealing his characters name. Complained that you should have stolen something from Harry Potter or Lord of the rings.
Atreyu: Oh.. well.. umm imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?
Keybo: Right. Next is from.. apparently the band Atreyu who may or may not be on tour right now.. they ask.. Hey man, love your name. So, where's our royalties? I mean...uh...Good luck getting the Honor Title back. Your name and theme alone gives us a reason to watch nCw every week. Keep up the good work.
Atreyu: Ha! This is a joke right? As if they’d have time to speak to me! I’m a huge fan, hence the name of course, but it also goes back to one of my favourite movies as a kid; Neverending Story.. As for royalties…erm, nCw pays you guys for using one of your songs as my theme. You telling me you guys aren’t seeing that money? See you guys at one of your shows pretty soon!
Keybo: Correction. We pay the label. So, if they don't see money, not my fault. Willy from Denver asks.. I'm curious what its like training under Spike Kane, him being the God of Xtreme and all. Also, what was the craziest thing he ever had you do while training? I bet it was sleep in a bed of barbed wire covered in lemon juice.
Atreyu: Hmm most people seem to forget that Spike is a great wrestler as well as the God of Xtreme. He’s taught me a lot and helped me grow as a person too. Training has been pretty hard, but he’s adamant that durability is a key to success in this business, hell we all know how durable he was, it took a railroad spike through his hand to keep him down! But no, I digress Willy….huh…Willy…ahem. Endurance training with Spike was incredibly hard, and sometimes pretty harsh. Not quite barbed wire and lemon juice but this one time he made me watch Jimmy Zane’s promo about Gib’s browneye for twelve hours straight! Then the next day he made me watch ever Ace promo he’s ever done in nCw! He said it was to dull the senses, to get me used to the things people will say and do, and get me used to the non-stop talking of some people…..my brain still kinda hurts, and I’m terrified of Jimmy Zane!
Keybo: Most people lock their doors at night so the Zane eye won't get them. Mark Bowen from Iowa asks.. Hey, I just wanted to know, why do you hate the xtreme era and it's wrestlers so much?
Atreyu: It’s not that I hate them personally. It’s what they stand for that I hate, violence and mayhem, chaos and destruction. I never wanted to be a wrestler growing up but I have an older brother that did. He trained for years, spent so much on training schools and travel and he finally made it. He got a gig in a pretty decent sized company and after only a few months they put him in what they called an “Xtreme Rules” match …the guy he fought, he had no compassion, no respect for his opponents, no HONOR! He attacked my brother before the match began, he brutalised him so much that when security managed to separate them all that was left was my brother lying in a heap on the floor….he was paralyzed. He still is to this day, so I fight. I fight for him, for the people who can’t, for respect, and for honor.
Keybo: All noble causes. Well, that's all the time we have for this week, I'd like to thank Atreyu for stopping by.
Atreyu: Thanks for having me Keybo, it’s been a pleasure being on your show.
Keybo: For New Championship Wrestling, I'm Keybo Shabaz, that is Atreyu.. and remember..
Steel Chairs are fun..
Barbed Wire is a good time...
And Always tip your waitress.
Good Night.
