"How do you describe someone who shares the very key aspects of yourself that make you good at your job? How do you prepare for someone who can match you in every way, who can match your stride, your focus, your determination...? There's no amount of tape you can watch, no amount of film you can study to prepare you for an opponent that you both respect and fear. Yea, you heard me. I said fear. Ok, maybe fear is too strong a word. Maybe apprehension is a little closer to the truth. How do you prepare for such an occurance?
Honestly."
"Angel, to me, is more than just a man. He's the man I measure myself against. I don't actively seek for his approval, but I know on some level I want him to admire me the way I admire him. Angel was the man I looked at as the alpha of the wrestling school I trained at. I looked at him and I saw what I could be. I saw how far determination and heart could make a man go. How much unbridled courage we can possess as human beings. I know it sounds like I'm just ranting to keep him from being angry. But this is like a showman wrestler battling Hulk Hogan. A technical wrestler going to war with Bret Hart. In each other, we see who we are, and simultaneously..
What we are not."
"Angel and I are not going to war to settle anything. We are simply putting down another chapter in our storied history. No great rivalry can occur without each side butting heads every once in a while. And the uncommon factor about us is that we can walk away from each other and find forgiveness. No matter how long we go without speaking. No matter how long it is between the times we get together to just chill. We're still compadres. We've bled for one another, and we've bled by one another. We've teamed up to leave a trail of broken bodies, and the trail behind us as idividuals is more than long enough for a ten thousand page memoir. When this smoke clears and a winner is declared, two things will remain clear.
We are the greatest competitors nCw has ever seen.
And We're both far from done.
As much as that might annoy or iritate the rest of you. So let's hear the gay jokes. Somebody say Get a room already. It's all you can do. You can't beat either of us, and you will never beat both of us. Now is the time...
History begins now."
------------------------------------------------------
(Collision is barely over. Falcon and Angel have just agreed to fight one another in one of the most violent matches nCw has ever seen. Falcon sat reverse on a folding chair so he could rest his arms on the backrest. Before him stood both Chris Diamond and Mike Kane, the latter looking about to start beating people with a shovel, the former just stands there expressionless.)
Mike: Why would you agree to this? You of all people should know what kind of acts this man is capable of, and why this is a bad idea. Do you think you'll be able to fufill your purpose if you're dead or crippled?
Falcon: ......
Mike: I understand how you feel, believe me I know the rage of wanting to overcome a rival. But you're putting your career on the line. Haven't you listened to anything I've said the last few months? Competing in matches like this is the quickest way to find yourself on the outside looking in.
Falcon: .......
Mike: Chris, talk to this man.
(Diamond just looked thoughtful, then he leaned down to stare Falcon in the eyes.)
Chris: You're sure about this?
Falcon: Absolutely.
(Chris stood fully, and crossed his arms over his chest. Though the smile on his face gave way to what he was really thinking.)
Chris: Ok, I'm satisfied.
Mike: What!?
Chris: Was I unclear?
Mike: About why you're going to just agree to let two of your best wrestlers kill one another in a Death Cage? Yea, just a little.
Chris: They want this, Mike.
Mike: Ever think that people don't always know what they want?
Chris: Ever think that sometimes they do? There's no use yelling at me about it anyway. He's right there.
(Mike sighs as Diamond exits the room. Kane pulls up a chair and takes a seat next to Falcon.)
Mike: Are you sure about this?
Falcon: Of course.
Mike: I wish I could say you sound convincing.
(Falcon reaches a hand out, and lays it on Mike's shoulder.)
Falcon: There's a hundred reasons why this needs to happen. Angel and I aren't kids anymore. We're wrestlers, atheletes and by virtue of the business performers. Each Chapter we put down has to be bigger, better and more flashey than the last. We'll always find a way to outdo ourselves. That's simply the nature of us.
Mike: But.. you know what could happen...
Falcon: Those're risks we'll accept Mike. That's the very foundation of why we do this. It doesn't matter that this match is going to send buy rates through the roof. Doesn't matter this is a fanboys wet dream. This is about us. This is why we are really here. You know that.
Mike: (sigh) Alright... I just.. you know.. I consider you a friend.
Falcon: I understand that. I'll be fine. One way or another.
------------------------------------------------
"Where do I start with Angel? What am I supposed to say? I can't break apart Angel's psyche, because that would inflect too much upon myself. Angel has no lapses in his thinking, or judgement. As I said on the outset, Angel matches me in nearly every way. We have the same size, the same skills, the same wrestling training. We wear our hearts on our sleeves, and leave it all in the ring for better or for worse. It's what we always stood for. It's what makes us such dangerous opponents.
Even to each other.
This will end like most of our matches do, with one of us collapsing on the other, completely and inherantly exhausted. Well, maybe not this time, but you get the idea. But you see Angel, I always thought there was one thing that made you better than me. The fact that no matter how you acted, or how you appeared to everyone else.. you always had..
Something real to fight for.
Sure, I had my ideals and that never stopped my drive, but you always had something tangible. But I never did...
Until now.
So, here's my promise to you, Angel. You're not just going to get Falcon, you're going to get the best Falcon you've ever seen. Last time we faced I made you dig deeper into your bag of tricks to get the win. Now I have to ask, how far down does that bag go? Will you have something new to share? Something that will stun and astonish the world..?
I hope so."
Honestly."

Interrogation has replaced the trust we had
Your misguided accusations
Helping me to turn my back
It's the beginning of the end
I don't know where we lost control
It's the beginning of the end
I know that I am not alone
I thought that we would find our way
I thought our life would be ok
I thought that you believed in me
But now it seems so far away
The life we knew before is gone
There is no compromising
The life you save will be your own
To find your inner senses
