Act 1: Enter the Golden Queen
The scene opens on the lush and green Isle of the Gods just off the coast of Greece. The sun was shinning brightly over the island, with the sky a bright blue, while the waves crested the shoreline, erupting into a white foam as it kissed the shore. The sound of song birds filled the air, and the smell of fresh wild flowers floated on the air. The camera pans along the beaten trails that lead through the forest, catching glimpses of a few wild animals as they roam the lush greenery. The path soon forks and leads up to a rather large manor, that is done like that of the manors of ancient Rome and Egypt. The white alabaster pillars glisten in the morning sun, while the long white see through curtains blow gently on the wind. The camera moves into a massively large room, that appears to be a bedroom. The walls are decorated in hieroglyphics, while the floor was done in a black and white marble. The king size four poster bed, with golden sheer drapes around it, sat made up, with a little black cat sound asleep among the many pillows. The sound of a lute being played, along with someone speaking could be heard to the left of the main room. The camera slowly makes it way to the set of golden double doors revealing a Roman bath type bathroom. Golden faucets, and statues, sparkled, while steam rose up from the large two level marble tub at the back of the room, where we find the Golden Queen Cleopatra, sitting in the warm water with her servants standing around her, stirring the water, while a young man sits playing a lyre, and reciting poetry for his Goddess. Stacy, Cleo's personal assistant walks into the room with a folder in hand, about her first match. Stacy walks up the set of marble stairs and bows to Cleo slightly.
Cleo: What news do you have for me Stacy?
Stacy: They called from the main headquarters of NCW just a few moments ago ma'am.
Cleo: Really? So who am I facing for my first match Stacy?
Stacy: It's someone by the name of Joanie Lee ma'am.
Cleo: I see. What did you find on her? Anything?
Stacy: Not much ma'am. She's pretty new to the company as well.
Cleo just smiles slightly as she looks down at a small golden barge that held sweet smelling oils, and moves it along the water silently. She looks at one of the young servant girls and starts to stand turning her back to the camera, with the clear water beading down her toned olive colored skin.
Cleo: Towel... Now!
Servant Girl: Yes my Goddess.
The young girl jumps slightly as she grabs a big fluffy golden colored towel wrapping it around Cleo. Cleo steps out of the tub, and walks down the stairs back towards her bedroom, as the servants bow to her as she and Stacy pass. Stacy grabs the black and purple robe off a hook, as the towel falls to the floor, only to be replaced by the long robe. She sits down at a golden vanity, as a young servant girl with dark hair walks up and bows, taking the brush off of the table and begins to brush out Cleo's hair, as Stacy goes over her match for Friday night.
Cleo: So that's all you know about this Joanie Lee is that she's new to the company?
Stacy: Yes ma'am. She's never had a match, and you are her first opponent. In a way I pity her ma'am. I mean I've seen you in the ring, and she is not in for a pleasant experience.
Cleo: Don't be a kiss ass Stacy. I can't see why they would put her up against someone like me. I have experience in the ring, and I always make sure that my opponents don't walk away from the ring afterward.
Stacy: I'm not sure ma'am, but they wanted you for Friday night. They must be eager to see what you can do in the ring ma'am.
Cleo: That or this woman has a death wish. I mean when I was in...[/color
The young girl that was brushing Cleo's hair, tugs at a strand, only to have Cleo turn around, with a glare in her dark eyes. The girl's eyes go wide, as Stacy backs away slightly. The young servant girl was going to be made an example. Cleo gets to her feet, as the servant girl falls to her knees in forgiveness.
Cleo: You pulled my hair. How dare you?
Servant Girl: Forgive me my Goddess... I was trying to be as gentle as I could, but there was a knot and...
Cleo: HUSH! Stacy!
Stacy: Yes my Goddess?
Cleo: Get me the pins.
Stacy: Yes my Goddess.
Stacy bows slightly and runs off, leaving the poor servant girl alone with Cleo. Cleo walks around her looking down at the girl, with a smirk forming on her lips. It had been some time since she had to punish one of the servants, and today was going to feel wonderful. Stacy soon comes back with a small wooden box with intricate hieroglyphics carved into the top. She opens the box as she falls to her knees holding it up to Cleo. Cleo takes the box, and sets it on the vanity behind her.
There in the little wooden box sat 14 golden pins, that were meant to be used in hats or shawls in the early Victorian era. Cleo pulls one out, as she looks down at Stacy.
Cleo: Get to your feet now...
The young girl gets to her feet, as Stacy watches with lowered eyes. She knew what was coming and felt somewhat sorry for the young girl, but she had to learn. Cleo pulls back the white toga the girl wore exposing the top part of her pale colored breasts. Cleo plunges one of the golden pins deep into the skin, as the girl fights the urge to scream out in agony from the cold unforgiving golden colored steel digging in.
Cleo: Remember the punishment for crying out little one. You do and it gets worse.
Servant Girl: Y... y... yes my Goddess. Please forgive me. I will never do it again.
Cleo's eyes flash with glint of a sadistic woman taking delight in torturing the help. This girl had only pulled her hair, and the punishment was more severe than it needed to be, but yet Cleo was taking pleasure in each and every moment of it. She pulls out another pin from the box, and plunges it into the girls left breast, causing a droplet of blood to form around the pin, as it sunk under the soft flesh.
Cleo: Then you are free to go my child. Stacy, take her and get her fixed up please, then send her back to her chores in the house.
Stacy: Yes ma'am.
Stacy gets to her feet, and takes the young girl by the arm, leading her out of the Goddess's bedroom to get fixed up, only to be sent back into the house to continue with her chores. Cleo was left alone, and she just smiles at the camera, as she walks toward a set of see through white curtains that lead to a white marble balcony that overlooked the island.
Cleo: Joanie do you actually think you stand a chance against someone like me? I've been put up against some of the biggest names, and I've seen them go down very easily. The way I see it my dear, you are nothing more than a Hollywood wannabe, that thinks that she can make it in the ring.
Cleo's long hair blows around her, as the long black and purple robe dances in the wind. Her dark eyes glisten in the sun as she looks out over the island that she called her home, watching a few birds drift on the wind.
Cleo: I've seen women like you, and I have to say that I'm not impressed. You know why? You think you are so high and mighty, and then when you step into the ring, you are not ready for what you are about to face. I will do everything and anything to win a match, even if that means putting my opponent through hell and back, just to make sure that they don't get up until the 1...2...3 has come and gone. I am the Golden Queen and you are nothing more than just plain white trash.
Cleo just smiles as she leans against the railing of the balcony, as the little black cat that was lying on the bed slowly slinks out of the room, and leaps up onto the railing, stretching slightly before lying down beside Cleo.
Cleo: So when we step into that ring on Friday night, I want you to bring everything that you have with you. I don't want you to be timid, or back down from this match, I want a fight from you, Joanie. Bring your "A" game and I'll bring mine. This will be a match that you won't soon forget. I am Egypt, the Golden Goddess, and Queen of the Nile bow to me! See you soon Joanie.
Cleo laughs as she pets the little black cat lying on the railing. It was her time to shine, and she wouldn't disappoint her new employers. It had been a while since she had stepped foot in a ring, but it would all come back to her before Friday night, when it would really count. Cleo picks up the little black cat and heads back into the main room, as the scene fades to black.
